I might take you up on this sometime too. I know I'm past the point where I can play online now, but I think I was too week to beat any of the main bosses so I think I moved on to something else.
yeah im down to carry a team of whomever. just get past the tutorial/A stages first. My wizard has been through the tower of mirages so iv got all crazy loot and can basically solo any boss. Im probly gonna get the plat today/tomorrow but ill keep it dl'd on this system. I still wanna level up the sorceress someday. I love making food and having a skeleton army but her lack of offensive spells is killing me compared to the wizard. My son Link was the fighter last night and i just had him spam attack and use his shield and we tore it up. I think all characters are good cept i can't really get the elf/dwarf to work out well. They both just seem too weak compared to the magic (wizard/sorceress) and melee centric (amazon/fghter) users. I just don't know how to build them correctly or something. ok peace

Yea your wife is cool with your gaming cause you can somehow talk to her and play at the same time.

I have blinders. Whether watching tv or playing a game, I focus the shit out of whatever im doing. She has to yell at me constantly to get my attention.

Pisses her off to no end, but she gets over it.
Well the times we played together was mindless farming, daily, weekly stuff in Destiny. A vast majority of it was stuff we/I have done 20 times before. But yeah she gets mad when I tell her I can't hear the game or when she is talking to me and I am not paying attention.

Doesn't happen much but does happen. Really frustrating when you are trying to listen to the dialog so you know WTF you are supposed to do and someone is talking about stuff I don't care about.

Was really bad when we were in a 1 bedroom apartment and if people were over.

With the Golds on she knows I can barely hear her.

This is why I never play games during the day unless I am home alone. The wife always wanted to talk to me about shit that didnt matter or to ask me the same fuck ing question for the hundredth time like she was expecting a different result. Which we all know is the definition of insanity. It drives me insane alright. And then the kid always wants to play something (not video games, she tells me now she hates video games) which I guess is the reason people have more than one. Seriously, that is the only reason the majority of people have more than one kid. I am convinced of it.

Velo and Mild are nuts, so they dont count.

The dwarf was my main, he's a run of the mill tank. He's annoying on teams because part of his defense/herding is throwing everyone everywhere. Once he's leveled up you can just spam box in front of a few bosses and not worry about much (occasionally hitting hoop for his big attack and retrieving the hammer). No finesse required.

And why else would you have a bunch of kids? They keep each other entertained. Duh.

We started with twins so I don't really know what it's like to have one, but I've always assumed they're often in need of attention. I also (usually) don't play games while they're awake, although I did try out the south park table while they were hanging out with me today.

I don't play video games as much as I would if I was single and without kids, but that's OK. Partly it's because we want our kids to do things other than just video games so we limit their time. If I was playing when they weren't allowed, that wouldn't work. For one thing they'd just watch me play. So I mostly play when they have video game time and after they are in bed. Of course not every night. We've got shows and movies to watch and other stuff.

I think the character you choose first is probly everyone's fav ;)

I knew I was going to like the wizard, and then they buffed him even more with a patch.

I was just afraid he was gonna be a glass cannon, but 90% of the time my life is above max.

That's the only grind is bringing a character up to level 99 cuz you need to beat normal/hard/infernal, but you still get skill points so it is awesome.

i always forget my wizard does +50% damage when he is flying in the air, and I forget to overcharge my magic. If im gonna be running some postgame dungeons I need to remember how to optimize everything. Some of these postgame items are crazy too, like regen 14mp/sec, +50% damage if health is maxed, -50% damage if health is maxed, overextending gives you +1 item use, etc.

yeah i tried making my dwarf all about lava bracers and unarmed damage and i think im over thinking him. fighter was great for my son cuz his moves are just spamming box and holding box to defend. The wizard is prob most complex cuz stupid mp charging and item magic. My daughter is running the elf and I tried last night and just couldn't get anything going. I'm used to just rushing into battle so her ranged attacks weren't my style and my daughter put most of her skill points on this elemental hold box move and it is just like a super weak version of a regular magic attack. idk.

also expendables 2 was awesome with you guys last night. That would have been such a chore to do solo i dont htink I could have done it. It was like MST3K where we were just ripping on it nonstop and the ending was broken and it was hilarious. good times.

I can't believe how much we improved in just a few hours too. upgrades and personal skill levels :) That first chapter we did seemed like hell, and I thought we were gonna give up when we hit that phalanx of shielded dudes, but damn we pushed through and beat it all in one sitting. awesome

So now Square and Crystal Dynamics are touting the last Tomb Raider as a success and the most sold Tomb Raider ever. Apparently they sold more copies during launch month then any other TR before it. But wasnt Square pissy about sales originally? And didnt they lay off some people or am I making that up?

Nope, you're right. They were disappointed because it only sold 3.5m in the first month (which is huge). They expected 5-6m which is pretty nuts.

There should have been a lot more motorcycle launching
The triggers in that game were so freaking amazing. Every freaking time I had a rocket launcher and was about to shoot a helicopter out of the sky in epic fashion it would close to black and mission complete. wtf! and those ending cutscenes that just fell apart to graphical hell were hilarious. I don't think they expected anyone to actually beat the whole game :)

They were complaining about the sales. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-03-26-tomb-raider-has-sold-3-4-million-copies-failed-to-hit-expectations

This sounds like why I'm still not finished with Portal 2 and started it for the 4 for March.

I feel like I go through spurts where I can game more and sometimes I just can't. I play when the kids are sleeping as well. It just usually depends on whatever else is going on at the moment.

Also Brewrs baseball is back on my computer screen in fancy graphical form that only updates after every pitch!!!!

but boo to having to pay $20 to get the same on my phone along with the sweet sweet sounds of Bob Uecker.

The cutscenes at the end were bad but the other part that made them look worse was that we all chose to skip them by holding square (i refuse to call it box Jeff!) and they would skip to the end. They were still bad and choppy but that made it worse.

I never would have completed #4forFeb or #MopUpMarch if the wife didn't "go to bed" immediately after the kid did the last two months.

So.....yay?

I have a similar story. Mine goes more like this though...

Wife starts to talk to me.

I tell her to GO AWAY! (i gots games to play)

At least your story doesn't have all the passive-aggresiveness that mine does.
You just have to man up and be a dick about it. My wife has been nicer to me the last two months than any other point the last few years. She still says things under her breath so I can still hear her or just says it to me. But if she hasnt figured out by now that I dont give a shit either way she is dumber than I thought.

I'm the same. I've barely played anything in the past month.

Earth Defense Force 2025 is $11.95 for PS3 on Amazon shipped. Most people liked this game and thought it was fun right?
I always see people making positive comments about EDF, but when I watch gameplay videos they just look like Dynasty Warrior. Lots of running around slaughtering huge armies of weak enemies.

I dont want a racecar bed.  I am going to get me one of those fancy water beds.  Only the cool kids have em.

Yeah. It all sorta depends on

1. did someone wake up before the alarm went off (like at 5 am instead of 7)

2. did the three year old take a nap today. (if she did, she's not going to fall asleep at 10 like she should)

If both those things are -no- then maybe I can play games for an hour or so before bed. Haven't gotten a chance to turn on the ps3 to play in about a week now.

Sometimes I'll just play vita while the wife watches the news or if the kid still needs to watch more Phines and Ferb or Pinkie pie on tv.

So you are going from ps4 back to ps3 to pop them?

Sweet, sounds good. I'll be on tonight for sure.
Yep, I did for the Torgue and Hammerlock DLCs. I had to play the pirate one all over again on PS4 because I had already finished it on PS3. Then I played Tiny Tina again on PS3, because the trophies are different than the other DLCs. Except for that arena shit in TT. I'm hoping I can just do the last round again instead of all six.

Vita is a god send, probably game the most on there these days.

You just need to play the sixth session for the trophy to pop.
