Since I'm too lazy to go digging into the Sony FAQs and support what-not right now, does anyone happen to know if you can enable online play for just one individual game on sub-account on PS3?

My son wants to play Minecraft online with a girl from class and I'd rather just enable online play for just Minecraft.  Not that he plays games that have online much anyway, or without me there for that matter, but still.

No wifi?

Even if it works, that's not nearly as good as a native version of the game. When I tried Remote Play remotely, it didn't work well at all. Unplayable lag. Admittedly I have not tried it since the most recent firmware update. In any case, that only is of value if you don't have others in your house who might be wanting to play something on the PS4. Remote play is no substitute for a native Vita game.

Also at work my Vita will not connect to the WiFi. I think it doesn't support the type of security that the WiFi here uses.

I have this same problem. There is some extra security that stops it from connecting.

Yeah, that was an open invite of sorts. I know there's a bunch of people who got it.
I figured, I was kind of hoping my response would help people who may be on the fence about playing it now be sure to jump in to play with you since you were interested now.

FYI, no need to buy the DLC before starting (just after completing Act 4). In fact, the added levels are not needed for a lot of the trophies and you may accidentally start them if you get it first. If you do already have it, I covered in my article which ones were not needed. Hopefully it helps you and any potential partners. Feel free to ask any questions.

Queued up all the PS4 PS+ freebies, but for some reason Aaru's Awakening is showing as "Already Downloading" in red, instead of downloading or waiting. What does that mean??? I guess it's possible that one of our kids queued it up (they are on spring break), but I kind of doubt that.

East - Wed is the new vita night, right? What's on tap for tonight?
Yes it is! Tonight we are streaming Toukiden: Kiwami. No prizes, but you'll get to see me and Tyler play multiplayer together for the very first time. It's cross-platform, so he'll be playing from PS4 while I play from PS TV, which is rad.

Awesome, haven't played that yet. Should be fun to watch.

I'm out.

Pharm, im down to do some more expendables. I never got the hardcore or regular trophy for beating the game.

also im down for sacred citadel also derek.

also you guys ever play more of that final exam? Im about to beat the game with my girl but you have to go through all levels again on hard and that seems difficult with only 2 of us. any chance you guys are all leveled up and want to play more? There isn't even a trophy guide out there, lol

Had you not played the original? Loved it. Definitely will be getting the sequel at some point.
I had never even heard of Stealth inc before getting news of the second one via email. It really seems like a great series. Hopefully more people give it a chance now that it's expanding to extra platforms with part 2.

You can join my game if you see me playing tonight. I dont know if it will work though as it seems like you have to start from beginning to end. I am working on Hardcore now and just starting the 2nd chapter. Even though I played through 2-4 already with Derek.

I would be down for sacred citadel but I played it last year and deleted everything so I am out of that now.

I dont think ZImm or I played any more Final Exam, so we arent leveled. We will get back to it eventually, but not this month I dont think?

It was also called Stealth Bastard originally. I love that name. Which they could have kept it for consoles but I guess politically correct bullshit won out again.

iv gotta take some kids to the dentist and the dr and then chores, so i doubt ill be able to play now pharm. Maybe in a bit, idk.

If you gotta start from beginning tho, i may just do it solo or with my kids. It is hard for me to sit down and play straight through unless it is late at night and everyone else is sleeping.

I meant tonight. Most of us have a day job remember.

Apparently the non-PC versions of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin have a "game-breaking bug" in that as a result of doubling the frame-rate to 60FPS, the weapons decay twice as quickly, making it nigh-impossible to get through some areas: http://www.amazon.com/gp/review/RB125ZP45L4LT/ref=cm_cr_pr_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00Q03M3HY

That's not good.
http://www.gaming-age.com/2015/04/dark-souls-ii-scholar-of-the-first-sin-review-for-ps4-xbox-one-pc/

That review makes it sound like its not a big issue?

No idea, never played one of these games.

"The only real drawback, and one that you may have already heard about, are the issues related to durability. This is a carryover bug from the PC version, apparently caused by the higher framerate, and noticeable as soon as you exit Marjula and start to encounter enemies in greater numbers. I had nearly gone through all of my starting swords before being able to purchase the Blacksmith key, three total, which can be a bit of a shock to both new and returning players. The odd thing is that this isn’t a new bug, it’s one that’s been present in the PC version of the game for months, but it’s not something that seems to be concerning to From Software or Bandai Namco. Maybe it’s some sort of weird, unfixable thing, but it can be frustrating in the early hours of the game. Eventually you’ll adjust and equip enough weapons to counterbalance durability issues, but for me this is the sole black mark to be made against an otherwise fantastic port of a great game."

Trailer looks badass. Too bad there's no gameplay footage to see what it'll actually look like.

Interesting how much of the trailer is focused on combat. Don't recall if the DE:HR trailer was the same way or not, but this kind of portrays a more combat-centric approach IMO. Or at least the possibility of branching in that direction rather than focusing more on stealth. Though without gameplay footage it's hard to judge, really.

That's due to how damage to weapons is calculated, it is based on frames in contact with the enemy. Since it has double the framerate of the original version, weapons degrade twice as fast. Not ideal, but far from what I would call a "game breaking" bug. You can adapt in the early game by carrying more than one weapon if needed (you have 3 pairs of hand slots in DS2), using the bracing knuckle ring to reduce weapon damage, and by the mid-point of the game you gain access to an unlimited source of repair powder (consumable which repairs your weapon out in the field if it has not yet broken). Any items which have not yet broken will also be automatically repaired to full when you rest at a bonfire.

Playing the DLC content of Madness Returns, the original McGee's Alice. So far its like a more linear, slightly less competent version of Shadowman with the premise of Return to Oz; that dark, unofficial movie sequel from the 1980s. The first two weapons are terrible to the point that I debated restarting the game on easy (you can't change the difficulty level without restarting the game), but the 3rd weapon, the electric crochet mallet, which lets you fire bouncing, electrified balls at the enemy is much easier to use. The cutscenes look terrible (4x3 FMV), but the actual game sections are not just a straight port as it features a widescreen presentation and the framerate is actually pretty fast unless there is a lot of action on the screen.

2 levels down, nothing that exceptional, but nothing exceptionally annoying thus far either. The trophies are also easy peasy, they are all story related.

If you got Madness Returns used, the DLC with the original game went free when EA got rid of its online passes.

Yeah, I need to get back to that. I think I was about 1/4 of the way through. It's old, clearly, but I don't think it's aged terribly. The weapons are probably the weakest part of what I played, followed by the platforming mechanics. Once I get around to pushing through the rest of Alice I'm looking forward to Madness Returns, which seems a lot more fantastic from a visual standpoint. I like games that do a lot with style and visual imagination.

That Monsterbag Vita game looks like it will be short and good for some easy trophies.  I got up to level 7 or 8 in about a half hour before bed last night.  You're basically moving from person to person in most levels trying not to get spotted (it's checkpoint reset at that point) while doing a couple of things with items on the ground/background objects to get to your girl at the end of the level.  A little bit of trial and error involved but nothing has been hard to figure out.  There's been one boss fight so far and that was also easy to figure out.  Based on the trophies, I figure I'm about half way through and probably need to replay a couple of levels to get the trophies on them.  Fun enough, the graphics, art style, and colors pop nicely on the Vita-1000 and barring a big puzzle, shouldn't take more than 3-4 hours to get through.  PSNProfiles show 104/349 people have already completed the game.  Replayability seems like it will be null once all of the trophies are gotten.

Having just played Stealth Inc. I think I can wait awhile for the next one. I mean I enjoyed it, but it's too soon for me. Looks like another lackluster sale this week. It's ok though I've been leaning on the side of not buying anything lately. When is Bastion on Vita? Thought it would be same day as the PS4 version...guess not.

Gator pointed out that since Bastion was coded in C# and such games are apparently difficult to port to Vita (see Mercenary Kings and its still-not-yet-released Vita port), you might not want to hold your breath for Bastion on Vita, at least not anytime soon.

Bastion vita is in that someday category atm. Gator mentioned that they may have porting issues like merc kings and that definitely could be the case (although I was surprised to see that the PSM SDK is apparently C#/mono so I don't know why the merc kings devs have had trouble unless the native SDK is different)

Edit vigd like a mofo
