Yeah, I need to get back to that. I think I was about 1/4 of the way through. It's old, clearly, but I don't think it's aged terribly. The weapons are probably the weakest part of what I played, followed by the platforming mechanics. Once I get around to pushing through the rest of Alice I'm looking forward to Madness Returns, which seems a lot more fantastic from a visual standpoint. I like games that do a lot with style and visual imagination.
I played the original on the computer like 10 years ago or so, I liked it. I haven't played the new one uet, but originally I had bought it for the dlc for the original since my copy got lost in a move
I remember having to mute the noise though because it freaked me out. (I'm a chicken)

Everyone that bought a bunch of $1 games from that last flash sale, are you glad you did?
I only bought like 3 so maybe that isnt a bunch but I am glad I did. I will try any game in a genre I like for a buck. As terrible as expendables is I got well over $1 worth out of it. Just seeing that flying motorcycle at the end and the crazy half assed cut scenes was worth it.

I am. I have already gotten what I spent worth of fun out of Tennis in the Face and Sacred Citadel (even with the other $2 on DLC) alone. I still have a ton more to play.

Definitely, though I doubt I'll get to the rest of them anytime soon. I might go for the Heavy Fire plats to get closer to #100; I want to try to get that one (Shadow of the Colossus) before The Witcher 3 next month.

Tennis in the Face and Home also weren't too bad.

I bought 5 of them. Beat Tennis in the Face and Pacman Championship so far, really enjoyed the evenings I spent with those two. I have both megaman games installed but haven't booted them up yet, haven't installed tokyo jungle yet, but so far not regretting any of the purchases. Not sure if I'm going to go back through Pacman and try to beat the time trials and score attacks for each level yet, but we'll see.

Good sale for me, but I also didn't buy like 20 games or anything.

It looks like you and I are on the same Tennis in the Face path but reversed. You are on PS4 now and I did that one first. I am on Vita now and we both have 4 trophies at least based on your last update. The other two are 100%.

I was kind of upset I got those 4. I really played it to just have something to play last night and was wanting to avoid most of the trophies for easy keep trophy streak alive options later.

Yep, those are pretty much unavoidable if you play a few levels as I got the same four playing 10 minutes in the car at lunch.

I only bought Mega Man X4 and I regret it.

I guess I should watch the first one. The second was okay. Honestly the best part was the soundtrack.
Daft Punk did it. Of course it was epic.

Have the very limited release on vinyl that goes for 250 plus on ebay.

also have 2 of the record store day "disc" vinyls as well. I have blue pretty sure and either red or yellow ones. They go for 75 plus a piece.

One of the best movie soundtracks ever.

Only played Puzzle Agent (Which was super shit, just made me wanna play any of the professor layton games instead.) and Tennis in the face, which was okay, but I don't think I want to 100% it 2 more times despite how easy it was.

You didn't answer the question.

Bioshock Infinite board game is half off at Gamestop.com. Probably won't get it but I am tempted by it.

I saw a post on destructoid about how bayou billy was apparently spotted going through the Aussie rating board and it encouraged me to look up all the awesome stuff konami made. They were on fire in the nes/arcade days!
frogger
track & field
gradius
rush n attack
double dribble
blades of steel
contra
tmnt
the simpsons
xmen
the goonies ii
top gun
metal gear
jackal
bayou billy
skate or die
legend of the mystical ninja (SNES)

It's weird how much they've crashed and burned having only mgs left (and they just fell out with kojima) and a warehouse full of arcade rhythm games that'll never see the light of day.

I can't lie, the Guillermo del Toro/Hideo Kojima collaboration for Silent Hills had me very excited for a series I couldn't care less. Now, it will probably never see the light of day. I really hope he leaves after The Phantom Pain, takes his usual 5 year development cycle and bring us something mind blowing. We can dream of Sony picking exclusivity rights, a la Demons Souls'/Bloodborne too...

Target has a flat 50% off 'value video games' this week and once again I can't find anything that scans correctly with the discount in the value video games section. What are they doing zimm?
I want to know more about this. What is a value video game? I was at a target recently and they had copies of metal gear solid hd collection and lumines for vita, but they scanned as $30 each. No thank you.

Haven't played any of them yet (other than the one's I've played previously when they were on another console), but the only ones I would vaguely regret at this time are maybe cloudberry kingdom and Populous.

Still make pro evo soccer / winning eleven, and looks like some mobile games.

but yea, no where near the company they were in the 80/90s

I think anything not locked up is considered a value game.

Speaking of Konami, Suikoden 3 is getting a PS2 classic release next week in Japan.

Now get those PS2 classics working on the PS4 so I don't have to leave an old system hooked up.

In theory, it's all games 19.99 and under that aren't in the plastic prisons. In practice it seems to be a very slim number of skus. I think my store would hook me up since they put the sign up over their value video games section and then told me all games in that section were 50% off. But yeesh, not sure why they have such a tough time with this.

Stupid mailman didn't deliver DS2 to me today, now I have to play Batman more.

That trophy is the devil. I gave up in it long ago.

#quitter
Woo, I'm better than Zimm confirmed.

It's a stupid bronze trophy though and there's far too many of those in this game.

That's due to how damage to weapons is calculated, it is based on frames in contact with the enemy. Since it has double the framerate of the original version, weapons degrade twice as fast. Not ideal, but far from what I would call a "game breaking" bug. You can adapt in the early game by carrying more than one weapon if needed (you have 3 pairs of hand slots in DS2), using the bracing knuckle ring to reduce weapon damage, and by the mid-point of the game you gain access to an unlimited source of repair powder (consumable which repairs your weapon out in the field if it has not yet broken). Any items which have not yet broken will also be automatically repaired to full when you rest at a bonfire.
The real problem is that this bug was in there since the release of the PC version and they never bothered to fix it.

Is that a good thing? Tron 2 wasn't exactly a classic.

Bleh, I don't want another Adam Jensen game.

fuck. I forgot there was a league match win trophy in Black Ops 2. Though, I'm sure there are still lots of people playing that online (especially with Black Ops 3 or whatever Treyarch is working on coming out this year) I probably should do that asap.

Element 4L looks like a mobile game. Also what's with all the screen flashing? That's pretty obnoxious. Would like to be proven wrong, though, so I await your review.

It looks like it has a you started the game trophy, so I guess there's no 0% delete option if you don't like it.

It looks like a fun puzzle platformer to me. I got a code for the site to review, so whether I like it or not, I will be playing it. After watching the videos, I expect to like it.
