Talked about this fairly recently, but looks like no more Simpsons DVDs, so no complete set for me.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/04/09/no-more-simpsons-seasons-released-on-dvd

They say no more DVDs but I'd assume that means Blurays as well. I love how they say the physical market is dying (I mean, it probably is) but also people aren't going to rush out to pay full price of Season 17 of the Simpsons either...
Yeah, this definitely bummed me out. Even more annoying than not having the complete set is that I now have seasons 1-17 and 20 (since they released that one immediately after it aired for some reason). At least release 18 and 19! It's a shame because The Simpsons DVD sets have consistently been some of the nicest ones you can own. Really nice packaging, tons of extras, commentary on every episode, fun little DVD menus, etc.

All digital is definitely where the market is heading, though. I've been collecting a few other long running shows as they air and I'm pretty sure they'll all stop releasing sets soon. American Dad's last season was only available to buy on DVD-Rs sold only through Amazon and there were no extras at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if when the show finally does end they don't offer a complete series pack in small quantities for a ridiculously high price.

This is my favorite continuing story of the young baseball season. The latest chapter, Cubs cancel a game because of a rainy forecast 6 hours before the game, then the rain never shows up, but conspiracy theories do.

http://deadspin.com/cubs-postpone-game-on-account-of-rain-rain-doesnt-show-1696470323

Keeps getting better and better.
That problem was hilarious (as long as you weren't there), but why do you hate the Cubs so much? They are the lovable losers, as somebody else put it I think.

Division rival of the Brewers. Most of our games with them are weird affairs. If you try to go see the Brewers at Miller Park when they play the Cubs, so many FIBs* come up north and they are all obnoxious FIBs* and make less tickets available for us kool kid Brewer fans. Watching a Brewer game on WGN when they play them is very grating. They're not lovable, they're just dum and annoying.

One of my favorite Brewer games I went to was at old County Stadium. Sammy Sosa was still playing and Cubs fans were everywhere. They all left after Sammy's last at bat in the 8th inning or so with the Cubs holding a 5-0 lead. Brewers came back to score 6 in the bottom of the 9th, capped off by a Geoff Jenkins walk off hit. It was fucking glorious.

Good to know everyone hates Illinois people. They're FIPs here. *fucking Illinois People*

Remember when Carlos Zambrano threw a no-hitter at Miller Park in a game the Brewers weren't even playing?

Hahaha...a few Cubs fans a couple times a year upset you. Try living with Yankmees (all NY teams really) and Red Sux (Pats as well) fans ALL YEAR LONG. And the Red Sox fans came out of nowhere when they won their first World Series. Before that no one said a word. And the Red Sox fans have easily topped Yankees fans the last few years in obnoxiousness since they are winning.

Way more than a few my friend. It gets pretty bad. And they play each other as much as the Yanks or Sox play the Rays. Granted you get doubled up with two franchises bringing the bandwagons, but still. fuck the Cubs. Also fuck the Yanks. Sox are cool since I'm a former New Englander. I dont wear their hats or root for them or anything, but their cool.

I know its more than a few as I see the Cubs fans on TV at the Brewers and Cards game too.

But you dont get it.

I LIVE (AND WORK) WITH THESE PEOPLE EVERY DAY.

Yankees fans are the absolute worst. But it is nice when you to go to a game that the Yankees lose and their fans leave early. Hoping that happens on Monday - I'll be there!

SmuggleCraft coming to PS4. Quest-based hovercraft racing. Not sure about this one.

Requires cable TV. I don't want to pay for cable TV. But I'll admit I'm just talking figuratively. I don't have any real desire to buy episodes of the Simpsons.
I don't want to pay for cable either. (cut the cord about a year ago). I have a -real- desire to buy episodes of the simpsons, all I have now is my box sets and I digitized those, but it still requires me putting the episodes on a usb and firing up the ps3 to watch them.

I want them just in one convenient spot (like my netflix or amaozn prime account)

Uncharted Remastered Trilogy spotted on some Swedish site then taken down:

Life was fine as a bears fan in colts country until 2007. And then the bandwagon hit. They get especially annoying every time theres a manning/luck game or when they play the pats. Deflategate was the most obnoxious 3 weeks in recent memory. Huge amount of cubs fans here too, I think they outnumber the Reds fans judging by how much apparel I see around for the two. They're not nearly as annoying though, mostly sad sad people who have nothing to brag about and also can't even go to the games.

For those of you without cable. What internet provider do you use and how much does it cost?

I think we get the bare minimum cable package so we get the reduced internet price with Comcast. So we get things like Comedy Central and Disney Channel and TruTV and AMC and History I think. But no TNT, TBS, ESPN, Nick, Fox Sports local & 1, NBCSN. I really want an al la cart option so I can pick just the sports networks and comedy central and maybe a couple others. We cut down because regular cable was expensive and we don't watch a ton of TV.

The older seasons were awesome, and I even liked the plastic head cases even thought they don't fit well on shelves. But the newer seasons just come in that cardboard crap. Visually it's quite colorful and there's a nice book, but the actual cases suck.

Interesting--I have the same cable setup. There just wasn't enough to watch to justify the higher cost, though I did miss out on Justified's final season. I'll just watch it on DVD once it releases in June.

Comcast.

50 down/6 up and comes with antenna channels and a box (which I don't use) and HBO (which I use for HBO Go).

$50 per month (regular $70 but I'm on a $20 off promo til February, but I had to battle for it his year)

$10 modem/router rental

Taxes & Fees make it about $64 per month.

Nice!! Didn't realize it was coming so soon. Super glad my friend is letting me bum access to their HBO Go account. Game of Thrones followed closely by True Detective. Going to be a good couple months of TV. I should also check out that Scientology documentary I've been hearing people talk about.

We have FiOS Internet plus digital voice plan and after fees its $86.20 for phone + 15/15 internet. That includes $12.50 off the package for having a 2 year (renewable) contract. Every time I look at the TV/phone/internet bundle its more money, but I will check it again.

The phone service is $30 a month which seems high now that I'm looking at it. I guess we could go all cell phone, but we like the landline.

Yeah my phone is $30 too. It is the first thing I will get rid of. I see FIOS offering a $50 bundle right now for 50/50 net, local tv and HBO. That sure would be tempting until football season.

Man has it really been 17 years (1998) since the Brewers were sent over the the NL? I was thinking to myself how much rivalry could their be between a team that was "recently" in a different league. Then I remember all the stupid Mets and Yankee fans going crazy over inter-league play. I had season tickets on and off during the early days of inter-league play and would sell them off frequently at a profit.

Signed up for a free month of Netflix, I'm ready for Daredevil tomorrow. I guess I'll get to see if Netflix is worth the $9 a month. I already have Prime but looks like Netflix is better. That and I don't pay for cable so yeah...guessing I'll be keeping it :)
