I saw on Neogaf where some students at the University of Wisconsin baked the biggest rice crispy treat ever (11,327 pounds). They are going to break it down into little pieces and sell them. They are going to donate amy money they raise to charity.

I think that is a pretty cool idea for a charity fundraiser!

 
Trophies that require 4 hours of uninterrupted (online) play can suck it.

I'm in a casual boosting group for Binary Domain and we decided to try to get to round 50 on one of the Invasion maps (horde mode). 3.5 hours in and on round 43 a spot of lag causes the host to lose connection, host duties migrate to one of us, but that resets the round and strips us of all our purchased gear for some stupid fuck ing reason (you can only purchase gear every 5 rounds). In addition if anyone gets disconnected from the game they cannot come back. So with only starting gear we predictably all died that round sending us all the way back to the start.

Four hour one sitting trophies suck even if they are single player (see the complaints from Zimm and myself about the stupid one in Disney Infinity 2.0). Making that online, and even worse how it requires 4 players combined with the disconnect issues you mentioned, means after one try I would likely be done with that one.

At least now you would be able to use the PS4's suspend feature to make single player ones like that more palatable.

 
I played a bit of Strider over the weekend, that game is pretty damn fun. I watched 2 episodes of Daredevil...really happy they got the character and tone right. Makes Ben Affleck Daredevil look even worse. I heard the director's cut of that movie is better and I have it somewhere just never got around to watching it.

 
Played Vessel for about 20 minutes last night, even with the gamma cranked to 10 the game was still way too dark. Character too small to really see anything as well, seems like it would have worked better on the Vita.

 
Platted Lego Marvel PS4 last night.  As much as I like Lego games, I'm always done with them for awhile after one hundred percenting one.  And kudos to the Vita being able to login as the second player via remote play so I could get the Torch/Captain America trophy and the Platinum as I don't have a second PS4 controller.

Having someone do a quick Share Play session with you is also another way to solve that problem.

Although, I thought you could just set one character as needed then switch to the other with the triangle button and change that one. Maybe that trophy was more complex than the usual ones in a Lego game.

It was the only coop trophy in the game.

Yep, it's much better. The case integrates better into the plot and there are a few other story changes. There are two new scenes they should have left out though. One with Bullseye in an airport which is just stupid and another with Kingpin which has him act out of character of the movie portrayal up to that point.

But, regarding Netflix Daredevil, the Russian accents seem pretty terrible. Takes me out of it a bit when they show up.

Only difference I remember (Not like I watched em back to back so theres probably more) is that courtroom subplot with fuckin coolio was removed in the theatrical version. Most of the lawyer stuff in the tv show is handled by foggy and karen.

Speaking of the Vita lawsuit I just put in for my $25, did anyone actually get anything from the other settlement that was the 2nd one for the PSN outage?

Thanks for the reminder, I chose the Invizimals game. Reviews suck but eh maybe it'll be good for some trophies.

 
Dear Diary, 

I feel bad for everyone in the thread that bought The Order, platinumed it, and traded it back in for more. They are going to miss out on photo mode. I'm sure it would break most of them, knowing they can't have it and didn't get to use it. I won't let them know, ignorance is bliss.

That seems too soul crushing to me though. That's the kind of thing where he would just walk out into the snow and never return. If he had like 300 doable games with a single trophy it might drive him insane but he would at least be able to slowly chip away at them at least.

Didn't look at the thread at all this weekend.  After having caught up, the most important thing I missed was asking Velo for pics of a kinda nerdy chick.

 
yo PS4 people--  I am with my main man Zimm in being ps4 less.  I had decided to not buy since my backlog would be wasted.  I had talked myself into buying the batman bundle ( original black cover )    I was at Costco and saw a ps4 bundle for 370.00 that had a year of plus and  extra controller.   According to CAG math I am not sure I can pass this up.  Is this the steal I think?

I have heard about the controllers not being top quality  ( sticking and/or bindings come apart ). I wonder if these are excess units and maybe the batman model might have improved quality.   Just looking for some feedback from you guys who know a lot more about this--  thanks

I think the controller issue was mostly with launch models. I've had mine since September and the controller is still like new.

I am not sure if the rubber issue has really been fixed. I have not had any issues with my 3 controllers with shoulder buttons like others have though. If not for the arm wrestling mini-game in GTA the rubber would probably still be fine on all of them too.
