I vaguely remember the cheap PS3 copies of black flag, I passed then because I'd rather play on PS4. Only PS4 deal I remember missing was maybe a black friday amazon listing around 20-30? Passed again because I figured it'd drop to ~20 at bby in the near-ish future. Hasn't happened yet, but I'm not too worried about it.

Did a store pickup for splatoon this morning. Hoping they can actually grab me a copy before the amiibo hordes get their grubby hands on it. Also picked up a psn card, probably gonna grab either magicka or oreshika tonight as well.

I may leave early and do that. Not too bad yet, but you can feel the muggy hanging out, ready to attack our shirts with wet underarm and back patches.
Might not be so bad if there are any attractive female employees who might have to remove an article of clothing or 7.

It's crazy, but the best deal for it on PS4 was actually at launch. Target had a B2G1 and a 30% coupon that made all PS4 games like $22 each, it was nuts.

AC is working quite well here. Suckers.

Returned from Disneyland. What I have learned.

  • Holy shit, that place is really crowded. Do not trust the crowd forecasts. Do not go on "Grad Nite"
  • The disability access system is super confusing. Some rides just let us get on at the wheelchair entrance, some made us go back for a return time.
  • Apparently I need to have every direction, every show time, and ride location memorized because family members will ask me for these things while I am being pulled forward by a kid in each hand.
San Diego Safari Park was pretty neat but could not spend as much time there due to family and time restraints.

Huntington Beach was also very nice and I wish we could have spent more time there.

June PS Plus games seem really underwhelming. Shouldn't MGSV be cross-play for ps3 as well?

What sort of generic non-essential bullshit did I miss here?

I should have paid attention to the glitch sale at BB. I did see it when it was posted but I kind of ignored it...that was dumb.

Played some more Batman Arkham Origins over the past two nights. It's pretty good. Feels same-y but a little different. No real complaints though. I want to kind of power through it so I can play some other stuff before PS4 Batman.

I'm nearing the end of Sly 3 on Vita, which means I'll finally have finished the PS2 trilogy...at least I'll be able to play Thieves in Time with a clean conscience :) I really enjoy the Sly series, I think it's underated. I think like most I liked the 1st one best so far but so far this series hooked me more than Ratchet or Jak ever did. It feels very consistent. I have most of the Ratchet games but only played the 1st. I enjoyed that one. Hopefully I can play catch up on that series on the Vita as well.

Actually I did get it checked out because it was pretty awful. It's a virus that's been going around. Takes 2 to 3 weeks for it to clear up completely, though it's not that bad now. Last weekend and early this week it was a lot worse.

Wait, does that mean a save from vanilla version isn't compatible?
Correct according to monolith. They wanted people to have the opportunity to earn the trophies again if they wanted to play the game again and encourage people who already played the original to play that and buy the dlc instead of buying the goty.

Cancelled EA Marvel fighting game.  I know it's rough footage, but I like the hyper comic art style.

I've asked a couple of times to no response. I'm guessing no. I heard good things in another board when it came out, but it can't be that popular because nobody has even attempted to make a trophy guide on playstationtrophies and the forum there has no traffic. There's not even a US listing for the game, actually. PSNP also lacks a guide and very little traffic.

Nearly 9000 owners on psnp. I haven't looked at other digital only vita games, but that seems pretty good for a jrpg. There's a demo on the store. I'm going to try it out later. Not sure if I can get used to the art style. I like the fact that they're doing events. Even though this one seems totally useless. You can't earn exp/money, and the items you can win sound basic.

Gamestop has a 50% extra credit trade-in promo starting 6/1: http://www.gamestop.com/trade (scroll down)

Best Buy will also have a 30% extra promo that same week (the OP who posted the ad edited that in).
Sweet, hopefully my mortal kombat comes in today. so I can get it back out the door towards arkham.

Ugh, I hate that. I was going to trade up but I'm not playing through from scratch again.

Ugh. These two online trophies in UFC are tough. Theyre pretty much only feasible as a white belt (Since you need to win less matches and people are worse at that tier) and your streak of only KOs or only Subs can be fucked up by someone ragequitting. Those fuckers still get a loss so I dont know why they do it. Not to mention Im almost a brown belt so Id need to intentionally lose 2 more seasons to drop down back to white. Might just try boosting the subs if I can but the process is super annoying and requires like 4 alts. Also it is ranked so your opponent is unknown until the match starts but right now there are only 400 players and 28 in the lowest weight division. Mild get this so we can boost it.

Tldr trophy shit
Yeah, I'm black belt and almost all fights go to decision. I subbed one guy, but he must have been drunk or let his friend play or something. He had no clue the submission minigame

Have we ever figured out what Shipwreck does for a living that he can build a gaming basement with a bar and spend his days taking pictures of Amiibos in Toys R Us and Target?  Did he win the lotto?

He's an engineer of some sort...I think he works on helicopters. They've talked about it on the Cagcast.

I liked the 1st sly a lot. The 2nd one not so much mostly because I didn't enjoy playing as the other characters too much. I need to get to the 3rd, is it any better than the 2nd?

I posted this in the Japanese Niche Games thread if anyone's interested:

Two new XSeed announcements:

1. Corpse Party: Blood Drive (Vita) will be released this fall. It will have a retail "Everafter Edition" that includes a 2-disc compilation of songs from the Corpse Party series and a "Dying Art" art book: http://gematsu.com/2015/05/corpse-party-blood-drive-coming-north-america-this-fall

2. Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders From Planet Space (Vita) will also be released this fall in both digital and physical () formats: http://gematsu.com/2015/05/earth-defense-force-2-invaders-planet-space-coming-north-america-this-fal

I didn't like Sly 2 as much for the same reason. Sly 3 is more like 2 but I feel like they do a better job of balancing the missions while playing as the other characters. Either that or I'm just used to the setup this time. I do like it more than 2 though. So far it's 1,3,2 for me.

You guys talking about the REmaster? I picked that up day 1. No regrets spending $20 on that. Only ever played the original (no Gamecube), so it was pretty amazing to me.
yeah i was so surprised how much they changed. I never played the gamecube version either, just the original ps version. Pretty awesome. also the knife only run wasn't too hard on super easy ;) I'm not looking forward to the under 3 hours speed run, invisible enemies and no save runs.

Dont get sucked in. That being said, there's a trophy for getting all the cards in the base version. There are a TON of unique missable cards, some which I've already passed. Unless youre willing to do another runthrough, I'd start looking at guides.

Though CDPR has said they'll patch in a merchant to have some of these, but I dont know if all of them.

I knew about (and bought) the missable card in White Orchard, but when is/are the next one(s)?

Here's an example, but there's likely more. I've had more than one barkeep not talk to me after decisions I've made in their bar.

I suppose you finished the tutorial, since he gives you a unique card, too.

Yeah, that does look rough, but I like it conceptually. Those 3D arena type fighters never seemed to take off, but I've had loads of fun with those sorts of games in the past. War of the Monsters was one of my most played PS2 games for sometime. I picked up that Rise of the Imperfects Marvel game for dirt cheap at some point and found that to be decently fun, too.
