Gator,

Let's say I was potentially interested in getting to enjoy IPAs. What beer and which conditions should I start?

Thank you,

FNG Justin

Im confused. I just got out and don't really recall anything about my TSP other than it being like a 401(k) without matching. Am I wrong?
You can create a diversified portfolio for .03% a year. And you have a guaranteed return option with the G Fund that beats any money market offered in a normal 401k handily.

has anyone played quantum conundrum? I apparently started it and can't remember if it sucks or not. I'm trying to figure out if it should make the cut for shit I finish or if it should be abandoned.
I thought I would like it, but it just didn't do it for me. I didn't even like it enough to pharm it with a guide just for trophies.

That seems like a small cost, but missing out on the 100% match in a 401(k) (6% in my wife's case) seemed like a pretty big deal. I was contributing to my Roth most of the time.

I'm not a financial wizard or anything, though. You seem to know more than this guy.

If it is a plantation style house I am betting the roof has a bunch of dormers in it. If so, even jimbo is probably low. The flashing on each of those can cost a lot. It adds to the labor because of the extra time and effort it needs.

I am guessing the house is at least 3 stories in the back since you have mentioned a basement, that it is plantation style (which usually means at least 2 above ground), and I doubt you have a fully underground basement. That will increase the cost as well.
I feel like Gator has creeped into my yard before.

But yeah, pretty much.

So, the Falsh is really fuckin good. If it wasn't some CW jam, they could hire real actors (except Tom Cavanagh, he's the shit) and it would be in my top 10 all time.

It just keeps getting better and better.

If you are a coffee stout guy and have not liked IPAs in the past, you need to start out in the shallow end before jumping off the high-dive. A hoppy amber (Stone Levitation), pale ale (El Segundo Mosaic or Firestone-Walker Pale 31), or if you want to stretch it a bit a session IPA (Pizza Port Ponto).

I tried to go with SoCal options for you that I knew. I couldn't really do that with the Pale Ale category since most of the ones I know are really hop forward. I got those 2 from a friend, so hopefully they are not too over the top.

You don't like Mr. Law 'N Order, Jesse L. Martin?

It's funny that I almost never watched the UPN / WB / CW 7 or 8 years ago when I was closer to their target audience, and now i think it's the network that I have the most shows that I watch.

Supernatural

Arrow (hope S4 doesn't suck)

The 100

The Flash

iZombie

Whose Line is it Anyway

I liked it a lot. It's similar to portal and Magrunner. First person puzzler. Definitely worth a playthrough.

I dont get why people who dont like ipas feel the need to try and like them.

just cause all beeries (that a word? going for something along the line of foodie) all think they are the best type of beer doesnt mean they are right.

IPAs are ok to me, I can drink them, I just prefer to drink other stuff over them.

Living where you do, that is certainly an acceptable thing. Living in SoCal, damn near everything is hoppy. I could see someone from there who enjoys better beer wanting to make more of an effort to appreciate them.

Gator. Why is an IPA a better beer though. It's just taste buds. If it tastes sour or bitter I can't drink it. So it is t better. They don't use some special water only for ipa?

Yeah, Tom Cavanagh was by far the bast part of s1. Wentworth Miller was quite good too.

Hopefully the changes they make for s2 aren't too annoying. I'm pretty sure we're going to see
a universe reset and a bunch of things different with all the same characters and actors present, but with Cisco and Barry being the only ones to remember the original timeline.
But we'll see.

I watched the first few episodes of this but was kind of on the fence. It had a very Veronica Mars feel with the relationships and that made it hard to watch. Did that stuff get any less annoying?

I like the cast. Except for the Iris actress, of course. She's the worst. Pretty hot, though.

Stone Levitation is fully available. Into a pint glass from the fridge is good, I presume?

He's good, too. And that guy who plays Professor Stein is always golden.

Honestly, I was just like you and I hated them. After drinking more and more varieties of beer my tastes just changed. It is pretty common based on experience. There is nothing wrong with avoiding them though. Drink what you like, but as the resident beer nerd I attempt to try and push you out of your comfort zone so you'll possibly appreciate more options.

To be fair, I didnt like stouts at one point, either. I can tell my tastes changing as I get older. I just want to see if it's something I can grow into.

It hurts my soul for someone who lives where you can get Coast Hop Art any time you want it to say this. Not to mention the parts of the year where you can get Coast Boy King.
Living where I do I might not get invited back to the Thanksgiving table if I was seen with an adult beverage called Coast Hop Art or Coast Boy King. (I've never heard of them either, though.)

Also, if someone opened my fridge and saw anything other than BL or RR they would say, 'Who are you and what did you do with him.' I have a reputation to uphold.

In a all seriousness, though, I just could never get past the aftertaste of IPAs. Maybe I was trying the wrong stuff.

Why PS3 for Jurassic World?
I knew I would be more likely to get it from Gamefly quicker. At the time I thought my subscription would end tomorrow and I wanted to get it in so my kid wouldn't be asking about it until I signed up again.

Now, I changed my mind and re-upped. I got the Vita version in the mail yesterday :)

Yeah, she's definitely hot. The guy that plays Barry is the worst part of the show, I think. Iris' boyfriend is hard to watch, too, but mostly because they wrote his character to be such an idiot.

Yeah, Victor Garber. Flash is a bit of an Eli Stone reunion. Eli's brother, dad, and boss all on the same show. Not a big surprise since it's the same producer, Greg Berlanti.

That is fine, yeah. IPAs do not suffer from being a bit colder like stouts and porters.

Well at least do me a favor and stop in at Green's sometime and get a bottle of Coast 32/50. It is a Kolsch and is pretty close in style to the lagers you apparently like. It only comes in 22oz bottles though.

C'mon guys..if your beer isn't all bitter and hoppy, it just tastes like piss water!

Wait til that Crazy Diamond IPAII hits the market.

This is more pc-oriented for now, but still great:

You guys are gonna love early access.

Damn. I thought I was going to have to grind to kill Deadeye in the FF15 demo. I slashed and slashed and slashed and dodged and slashed and knocked him down a few times and his health bar barely went down. Got trapped and then downed and all of sudden summong Odin or Ramuh or some shit and instantly killed him.

I'm about to start Arkham Asylum. Hopefully it lets me play as Batman right away and doesn't make me sit through the story about he crashed in Kansas and then his uncle dies.

So I read a story the other day about why Marvel hasn't made another Hulk movie. Apparently Universal still owns the distribution rights on the character, but Disney/Marvel own the rights to make a movie. Basically, they can make a movie, but it would give Universal the right to distribute it, which is where the hold up is. Universal could opt out of distribution, but probably wouldn't do that without a payoff from Disney/Marvel to compensate for what they could lose by not distributing the movie on their own. And the Hulk movies are too expensive to produce since the main character is 100% CGI and don't make enough money to justify something like that.

But there's always a chance. It used to be thought that Marvel had no rights in a movie for the Hulk at all and thats why they never made a sequel to their last movie.

I have to meet the roofer her in a little bit to get an estimate. Anybody wanna ballpark it?
How old is your roof and where is the leak? If your roof isn't that old and it's a small leak, you could always try patching it first. You can buy the patch stuff at any hardware store; usually comes in gallon cans. It's basically asphalt in a can. (I'm assuming you have asphalt shingles.)

How does that work with the Avenger movies? Does Universal get a cut?

Maybe a small cut. Or maybe nothing since he's not the central character. I didn't see anything about how it works for those movies. Most of the contract stuff for these movies is very private. All this hulk stuff only came out recently after a few interviews with Ruffalo.
