I would've happily paid another $15 for geometry wars 3 on vita.  

I look forward to being completely behind the curve on rocket league but trying my best to participate.

Agreed, not bad. Do we know if GW3 on Vita will have a separate trophy list? If so, that's a slight face-tap (not slap) due to the free PS4 version I haven't started yet.

The John Green thing is more of a side note on why anyone would even be following random shit-talker girl to find out she was talking shit in the first place. I mean, if you're going to put yourself out there to be a semi-public figure who tweets about soccer, you probably shouldn't be shit talking the soccer fans in a soccer bar your boss is known to frequent.

 
I have Rain, but I won that in a CAG contest and played it already.  Rest is all new to me, so winning month!

I can't wait to be jealous of the entire thread playing Rocket League together next week!

 
What an awesome month! I was already to plop $20 on rocket league so this is double sweet. Was tempted by Styx on Xbone when it was on sale awhile back. Glad I held off. 

 
Styx is a prequel to Of Orcs and Men (Styx is half of the pair you play in that game) which was recently on sale.

I'm going to guess that it's separate since they refuse to do online coop and there's no way they'd be so sadistic to require adhoc coop for the trophy list. since it's the evolved version out of the gate they might tie some trophies to the new levels/modes instead.

Naw it is going to be the same list. Luckily I have someone with a vita so I can knock out those ad-hoc co-op trophies.

Rocket League being Plus is awesome. Pretty meh on the rest, but I was really looking forward to rocket league anyway, so great month for me. 

 
Of that list, Mousecraft looks like the only game I'll likely skip. Entwined looks boring but I'll still give it a shot.

Man, it's like Sony has pretty much abandoned the PS3 for these announcements now. When is the last decent retail release that was offered there? Don't get me wrong I enjoy Plus for the PS4 games (and building up Vita library) but it seems like the PS3 days are about done.

pretty sure this has been the first time in a while we haven't gotten a decent AAA title on PS3... Theif, dishonored, Call of Juarez, Hitman trilogy, and Yakuza in recent months

There's always some random, bizarre nonsense that gets more time than it should at e3. Entwined was last year. They spent 4.5 minutes on it. That was too long.

Funny thing is that it was slotted right between The Order: 1886 and Infamous: First Light. Then they showed LBP3. Entwined did not fit in at all and I've no idea why they showed it, let alone spent that much time on it and had it mixed in where they did.

  • Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
Granted Duke 3d is old, but it was AAA at one point. :whistle2:

It's been that way for months. Really, what more could they release for PS3? Aside from Last of US I can't really think of many "major" PS3 titles that weren't on plus. (I'm sure I'll be corrected)

I really would like to see more 'niche' games from Plus. Something from Dynasty/Samurai Warriors, maybe some of that Atlus or NIS content for Vita...

 
Great month for Plus. Not sure why all you losers are hating on Mousecraft, it could be a fun puzzler and Curve Studios has a sweet track record. Been waiting for it to hit Plus for a long time.

Rocket League of course is amazing.

Styx looks cool, looks like some simple stealth and has at least tepid reviews.

Geo Wars Vita will be awesome as long as it has a separate trophy list.

Rain is not that bad of a game, but I'm guessing most people own it by now. It is worth a single playthrough though.

Entwined does suck. 

4/6 for me makes a really good month. If I didn't own Rain it would be 5/6 good games for me.

 
So some are taking it further than the "mouth breathing where are the retail games group" from the blog comments to complaining that the ones they do give us aren't the right ones?  Really?

I admit that those recent retail games aren't for me either (I hate stealth), but it seems like some of you have entirely unrealistic views on what Plus should be.  I am not sure how many of the games from this month I will even play (already played Rain), but if you look at that list and are worried about the lack of retail games instead of thinking how wide a range of interesting titles they added across the platforms then you really are doing it wrong.

Yeah that was weird. He wasn't really attacking anyone on the streets or anything, just flying around and Batman just kept taking him down. I mean he needed to go to prison but wasn't the same as some of the other bad guys.

Station 17 Firefighting Mission Spoilers Below:

The weirdest one to me was the Station 17 Firefighting chief. Yeah he was having the fires set so his crew could keep their jobs, but Batman locks him up with these complete lunatics and psychopaths, I thought that was hilarious and totally out of place.

I agree this month is pretty solid.  I just dont like puzzlers and stealth.  So wait, this month sucks!  But GW3 and Rocket League make it awesome by themselves so this month is great!

Yeah, it has about as much "gameplay" as Journey (basically walking through the desert vs. flying through space) but it doesn't have the same sort of "experience".

I hate when Unfinished Swan gets lumped in with those games. Yeah it was atmospheric but it had some really decent puzzles and was pretty clever at times and wasn't just about the "experience" like Journey, Flower, etc.

You have to admit though, now that more people have PS+ subs for online MP on PS4 they don't have nearly the incentive to give out retail games like they had been on PS3. I still think Plus is a great value for the PS4 library alone at this point but you cannot honestly say that the PS3 plus quality is anywhere near what it was 1-2 years ago.
