Played lego jurassic world co-op today. Fun game, but it takes a while in between the save points. Accidentally hit save and continue at the last one instead of save and exit, hopefully it actually saved my progress 'cause we glitched a couple times trying to get the electric cars to work and I'd rather not go through that again.

Gonna start playing AC Unity again. Not sure who needs to run through the coop missions still since I know some of you played it a while back. Gonna put it down for a bit when Wolfenstein is out though

I still need to finish the co-op.

Hey Munky are you interested in co-op?

Got the plat for Ether One and it was a nightmare. Not a ton of crashes, but the loading between levels (and especially when using fast travel) was so bad that I can see why people would assume the game had crashed. Takes about 4 minutes of staring at a frozen screen for it to move to the loading screen. Also a few glitches like being able to skip steps (or some steps not registering correctly) so you have to backtrack a bit to get the solution to activate or correct solutions not working until you fiddle with the objects enough for it to reset the puzzle. By the time I got to the last area I decided on using a guide the rest of the way just to speed through to the end of it.

I'm surprised Sony made it a PS+ game considering how untested it was.

It is a lot of fun to play with friends, but when you dont have a group whose hours line up all that often and playing with randoms is an exercise in futility it can be frustrating when you want to play.
This pretty much sums up my entire gaming existence, although I do appreciate you making the effort yesterday.

At least I'll always have my portal brother.

What a weird set of events for the USF4 finals. The top 8 was super competitive though. Great matches through out. Also that Guilty Gear early celebration has to be the biggest fuck up in EVO history.

Finished Bayonetta normal playthrough, they should give you more stuff earlier in the game as it didn't really become fun until I spent some time farming to buy accessories and they provided some more melee weapons. I guess the patches must have done their job as it ran fine for me, I only had some minor slowdown when fighting enemies on the missile, some major slowdown on the section at the top of the tower when you jump across the field of disappearing platforms (which isn't an issue as with crow form as you can just fly over it), and weirdly during one of the ending cutscenes.

It was an epic spectacle, but I think I still have to give the edge to Vanquish as I always felt in control of the Mech, but I didn't always feel in control of Bayonetta; whether it's the game doing a delayed strike instead of a straight follow-up strike, or the camera angle getting in the way, or keeping all the combos straight. Some of the challenge rooms (the alfheim portals) are also rather stupid as many of them the only way to beat it is spam the same attack over and over, which is particularly tedious. It's also bull that many of them it is not really possible to beat them at that point in the game, you have to come back later with a certain weapon or accessory. Instant death QTEs are also no fun, though thankfully there is almost always an autosave just before them.

I decided the next game I am going to focus on completing is Gravity Rush, but man are the combat and flight controls whack. I am struggling here.

Earlier tonight, I finished the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the first time in my life. My childhood is now complete.
Talk about a late bloomer.

Make that 99.5 now. Hotline Miami and Hoxton Breakout on Overkill tend to give a lot of XP.
Yeah Hoxton gives a ridiculous amount. I'm level 80 after already doing 1 Prestige.

Apparently we're still missing content from the PC version as well. Theres additional missions we don't have yet (and may never, who knows) including one called Hoxton's Revenge which continues his breakout story.

BBY has the WiiU Lego Batman 3 advertised this week as "$19.99 each, other platforms available", but online prices are showing only the WiiU, PS3, and 360 versions at that price.  PS4/XBone versions are $29.99.

I'm guessing my chances of getting them to honor the $19.99 price for the PS4 version is pretty much YMMV?

Huh. Other than Tin Man, BSG, and Eureka I don't think I've ever watched anything from Syfy. Maybe I should fix that.  :whistle2:k

What glitched on Rory?
The damn complete all challenges trophy, game kept freezing and clutching and it wouldn't save some challenges I completed. When I finally completed them all, which took all night no trophy popped. Spent all of Saturday replaying some to see if it would pop and nothing, ended up rage trading it 3 trophies away from play.

Was able to play batman though. Then went on to have the worst trade in experience at my Best Buy I've ever had! Was a bad gaming weekend for sure

that shit was unbelievable.

Basically the dude in red made an epic come back in a round that tied it 1 to 1 and started celebrating too early, leaving his stick behind and his character idle. the dude in black obviously punished that shit.

also, new sf5 character reveal if anyone cares:

I'm not saying that it's god's gift to gaming, but honestly it's kinda worth it to hang in there. if you stick with it you really do adjust to the controls and it's pretty unique.

So many questions.  Why are they always Asian?  Why is the kid in red celebrating for a split second?  When they cut back to the game he didnt have the other guys health way down, what am I missing?  And why is he smiling?  And then crying (I guess) on the desk?

The guy wearing red made a comeback against the other guy, he thought he won the entire match when he really just tied, the few seconds he was away from his controller allowed the other guy to take control of the final match and beat him easily.

As to why he's smiling/crying, that was probably one of the (if not the) most embarrassing moments of his fighting-game life.

I think I'm probably just about done with godzilla, I'll probably try to unlock the two characters I'm missing, call it good and move on to j stars victory.  fun game even if it basically is one thing and it only does it sort of well.  the metacritic score is definitely a gigantic joke (somewhere in the 30s) - the game isn't broken, there's a lot of apparent fan service (I don't know anything about godzilla), some really neat graphical/special effects where it seems like they're trying to emulate the old movies, and a lot of characters that all behave differently (that you can take in to online 1v1 or 1v1v1 which is surprisingly entertaining).

fun fact: for some reason the mothra larva is OP.  I'm not sure why they did that.

yeah, sorry I was headed back to edit that post to explain what happened in that evo gif and got distracted when I saw my beautiful godzilla trophy card.

edit - and they're always asians because for some reason white kids generally can't get good at the aksys games.  there's a lot more ethnic variety / country representation in street fighter.  that's why they call it the world warrior?

So essentially the kid that lost was a douche for celebrating early, so he deserved to lose but the winner wasnt really a winner since he beat a punching bag.

that's the long and short of it yeah. evo is so great.

I think I'm going to cave in and buy tembo tomorrow. work on building up your willpower to resist now because you know how much I fucking post.

I might do the same, but I'll probably wait to read a review or two first to see how long it takes to 100%. It would sting to pay $13.49 for a digital-only 2-hour game, badass elephant or not.

I realize that we're all nerds posting here in the underbelly of CAG, but the dude in black in that video has no swagger in his celebration walk at all.  I imagine he is saying "I have bested my opponent!  I am the greatest!" in a super nasal voice while doing that walk.

Grinded out some more Rocket League before work this morning, about 80 matches left for the plat I think. Once that's done I'll probably get back to the Handsome Collection and also start GW3.

I like how he shoots a quick nervous look back over his shoulder at his opponent as if he half expected him to jump out of his chair and kick his ass. His nerd sense was tingling!

I do wish we could have seen the rest of his celebration though as it looks like he was really getting into it there at the end with some kind of nerd shimmy.

Are the chapters in Wolfenstein really really long or is it just me?

Started playing on Uber, and even though I spent a decent amount of time trying to unlock perks/trophies, I still seem a long way off from finishing even the first chapter, even though I've put a couple hours into it.

they don't take nearly that long on ps4

Holy crap, I'm glad I never watch any EVO stuff.  Those announcers are annoying as fuck

Also, I'm glad we got to see the full celebration so we could see that the guy is so uncoordinated that moving in any way other than a robot walk causes him to fall over.

I'm actually fairly tempted by this even though I generally don't care much for their games.

I'm fairly surprised Valkyrie Profile has never gotten the HD treatment. It seems like an obvious candidate for it.
What does VP have to do with anything? That was done by tri-Ace while Odin Sphere was done by Vanillaware.

...Not that I wouldn't welcome a VP HD on Vita.
