Those mole rats are no joke, I had the misfortune to have 2 incursions within the span of 15 minutes which killed my entire supply of stims. Through this I have found another weakness in Fallout Shelter's design. In single wide rooms which can only hold 2 people, a person stands on the left and right side to shoot enemies. But in double and triple wide rooms (which can hold 4 and 6 respectively), dwellers will clump closer together so that 1 is in the foreground and 1 or 2 are in the background behind them. Since lower level people have smaller health bars they get wrecked by mole rats and will often need a top off from a stim during the battle, but it is not always possible to click on them since they are in the background behind another dweller.

In the face of something like that, sometimes it is preferable to retreat from wide rooms and let them go wild (there is no penalty as they can't damage the room). Disasters in Fallout Shelter will migrate from room to adjoining room, but when they do that, the disasters disappear from the original room. It's not something like Sim City where fire will spread at a geometric rate since one tile stays lit and sets fire to multiple adjacent tiles, which immolates multiple adjacent to those secondary tiles.

So if you don't kill the mole rats quickly they may spread to two nearby room, but they will disappear from the room they are migrating from. If the two adjoining rooms are single wide, then this is preferable as it shrinks the total number of mole rats you are engaging from 3 rooms worth to 2 rooms worth. So if the original room is 3 wide it will be a bloodbath (as wide rooms are usually a mix of veteran and fresh dwellers), so often I will get out of their way (retreat to living quarters or training rooms) and move sturdy, well armed dwellers to the closest single wide rooms and wait to engage them there where it will be two on one.

To make it more interesting, they should only give the free game to people that voted for it to win.
You can freely switch your vote at any time until the contest closes.

I don't mind paying for Armello anyway. will be a day one. I rarely ever touch any of the plus games cause I already own them, or don't care about them. The only part about Armello not winnng that makes me sad is that it will lessen the amount of people actually playing online.

I'm still half expecting them to have some twist at the end where all three games go plus. I'm calling it now.

I dont think I could get past the mid 20s or 30s levels in Super Exploding Zoo. Once you got the lines and then had to separate your team, and move certain animals independently.
It's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. On Vita, hold down R1 then right stick to select animal, then left stick to draw out the path you want him to go.

Once I started using the deployment feature, the game became fairly simple and enjoyable.

I think I was probably in the same boat as you and set the game down for a month. Came back to it and fiddled with it a bit and the light bulb went off that I had been playing it wrong.

I'm drunk and this bartender has titties for days. Hopefully I don't leave my life savings a a tip.
What have you been drinking, Gator?

The wife, bless her soul, bought me som Palmetto Brewing Company Amber Ale at the grocery store today. She knows I've been talking about trying other beers besides good ole BL and RR. It's alright; a bit of a hoppy aftertaste, but not too much. I'm grilling some burgers and brats, and I'm already past my two beer limit, though.

You have a two Bud Light limit? You must be the life of the party. ;)

A new top of the list on how to sober up on the way back from the bar, get a flat tire. Apologies for no pics of the epic boobs, I did not want to end up in jail.

I don't remember if I ever posted this before

I would highly recommend getting drunk/high/whatever and walking the trails of your local park or nature preserve in the early evening. It's very relaxing.

Think I might spent the next few hours before the wife comes home playing Swapper on the Vita. (With the walkthrough open on the laptop. I need to just be done with this game)

I went to a local brewpub with a friend. They probably make the best beer brewed in Georgia. I took advantage of the fact that I want driving.

There is a lot better stuffs than Palmetto in SC, but good job going outside your comfort zone.

I just woke up from passing out in a chair at my friends house. He apparently left to go get food. Best friend ever!

Yeah, I still need to try those Coast beers you recommended. They don't sell them in any of the grocery stores, so I'll need to go to Green's or someplace similar to find them. I missed out on the Mexican Cake awhile back. My brother-in-law said they were sold out by the time he got there. I told him he needs to be better prepared next time.

I know on Vita you could view local trophies (not PSN trophies) for pre-release games before the trophy list showed up. Not sure if there's a similar way to do that on PS4.

I've already done 50-60% of the puzzles without a guide. I just want to finish the game without spending hours and hours on it.
You'll need a guide for those hidden terminals which unlock most of the trophies. I don't remember having too much problem with most of the puzzles otherwise.

katamari damacy vita gets a bad rap. It's short and if you want trophies it's grindy as sin (or you trick the game) but it's still fun to roll things up in a giant ball. And it doesn't have those annoying levels where you can only pick up fire things and have to avoid the water.

Well dammit. I'm on playthrough #3 for Lords of the Fallen and I just realized there's a way to get the plat in a single playthrough plus replaying the boss twice. The trophy guide doesn't reference it at all, but I'm sure it would work.

The trophy list is almost entirely completable in a single playthrough already. The only exceptions are these:

  1. You must beat the game once per class (3 classes.)
  2. You must have a special rune loaded into either your weapon, your armor, or not equipped at all (for the 3 different endings.)
  3. The Shard of Heroes item can be used either to switch classes or to get a special weapon. You can switch classes any time, but only once per playthrough, and if you use it for the weapon it's also gone for that playthrough.

So the plat in one run would be to do this:

  1. Play the game normally to boss #2.  Save before the boss, use the Shard of Heroes in the fight to get a special weapon for the trophy. After the trophy triggers and before saving, exit to the main menu, reload your save.
  2. Play normally through the rest of the game until the end boss while completing all collection trophies and the few miscellaneous trophies.
  3. Right before the last boss copy your save to PSN or whatever.
  4. Beat the boss with one class/ending combination.
  5. Reload your save, use the Shard of Heroes to re-spec to a new class and move the rune. Beat the boss for the 2nd class/ending combo.
  6. Repeat #4 for the plat.

Trophy guide lists the game as being 30-50 hours for the plat. That doesn't include the Ancient Labyrinth DLC which adds at least another couple hours. With the above approach (which I'm certain would work) I'd put it at closer to 20-25 if you have any experience with the Souls games and are halfway decent at such.

How come none of you pinball nerds mentioned that Champion Pub is semi-broken on PS4? The health bars don't light up at all.

So instead I played more T2 and upped my score.

I don't like baseball, but I'm still tempted to get MLB 14.

Good looking out vig. I almost bought the wolf among us and MLB 14 before I realized that I'm sick of telltale and don't like baseball. But those are some good prices!
