There may not be overworld-to-battle screen transitions, but there are still battle-to-overworld screen transitions.

This will be the first Tales that I skip at launch if only because of the multiple negative thoughts on the gameplay I read when it released in Japan; depending on whether those complaints are repeated for the NA release (we still don't know if they just made the graphics shinier for the PS4 version), I might pick it up when it hits $20 or so. If the past is any indication, it might drop that low within a few months.

Yes. There is only one dlc code. It unlocks all three expansions. After I applied the gcu discount and a $5 rz cert, I used $46.65 in BBY credit for the remaining balance. I removed the dlc cards and walked straight to the cs desk and traded it in for $38.50. If you don't apply a reward cert, it should run you around $13.

I'm pretty sure the key to getting free stuff from bby is to never spend money there. I've never gotten these free certs but always spent enough to hit elite status. this year I only have a few hundred dollars spent and it's raining certs! YOU HEAR ME?? CAN YOU HEAR IT RAINING CERTS???

Haven't fired it up yet. Planning to after I finish with Shinobido 2. Right now I'm also playing Bravely Default and Hyperdimension Neptunia re;Birth 1, so I want to knock something out before getting into another game.

Be glad you stopped playing last night before us. You would have gone to bed even more pissed off. It appeared that the game was only saving progress for the host. None of the new levels showed as unlocked except for Munky.

Somehow, closing the game and starting it back up fixed that. As a software guy, I am not sure how in the fuck that is possible unless they were reading a cached RAM copy from before we started playing levels while the disk save was accurate.

If I were reviewing it right now, it would be near that score. I do feel bad for talking you into getting it with the state that it is in. It did not seem this bad when we first started playing it with 3, and it performed better last night with just 3. When you have 4 players it turns to shit.

There is only one store that shows having the first 2 (and it also has Ass Creed) but it is in Buckhead. It is probably a bit too far out of my wife's normal area of travel to get her to swing by.

The first NG appears to be at a store near my son's school. She would be more likely to give that one a try if I asked.

Looks like the 2 you are least interested in could be found out here in the burbs.

I keep telling myself to start Gamefly again then I dont do it because I have such a backlog anyway.  Then I keep buying BB GCU games and cheap shit on PSN. 

Thankfully the sales have been lackluster lately.  So other than Viking Zombies (thanks again crew!) I havent bought much lately.   I still cant crack a dent in the backlog due to all the free plus games and time killers like Mad Max!  I find it amusing ANYMORE when you guys complain about the shitty sales.  I am relieved every time they are shitty.

I like the core game a lot when it works, which is not consistently when playing online. I haven't played a whole lot solo but there are definitely issues in solo as well that I've seen and heard from others. I like it more than that reviewer and gator, but the actual game is a mess. They no doubt rushed it for the Vote to Play competition. They (and Sony) can thank their lucky stars that it didn't win.
