Winghouse was fun as always but no waitress flirtation.  11/10 Therms

The usual hot chicks were working though.  Staring at their fat (this is a good thing) asses?  11/10 Vigs

I know there aren't many Destiny players left in here, but is anyone else playing The Taken King?  I've played through the first three story missions, and done some of the side content as well.  I'm not really expecting a lot from the new story, but I'll wait and grade it until I've finished it.  There does seem to be a bit more verticality in this story so far; by that I mean more vertical traversal during the mission.  It gives the game a slight Borderlands feel.

I don't play Destiny for the story, though.  I play it for the gun-play, and to me it is still slick-as-shit in terms of gun-play.

It's going to take some time getting used to the fact that you'll be replacing your Year 1 Exotics with items that are as low as Uncommon.  It would have been better if you were given the option to upgrade your Year 1 equipment to the Year 2 versions through questing; maybe that option exists and I haven't uncovered it yet.

My biggest disappointment is in the new Ghost.  I didn't have a problem with Dinklebot, but the Nolan North version of Ghost sounds whiny to me.

Edit: Edited because the PC thought I hit Post before I was done.

Dear All,

You've known me as Mr. Digital for quite some time now. Granted I started grabbing physical Vita games. Thanks to the Target clearance I picked up some more. I now have 42 physical Vita games including 1 Japanese import. This has spilled over slightly to the PS4 as I bought Metal Gear on disc so I could recoup some $$$ when I'm done with it.

Yes it's true, you may have won. I'll let you know if I come to my senses at some point and sell these all off.

EDIT: Thank goodness I got out of the amiibo game.

I did resist the temptation to stock up on Sour Patch Kids, and put my free $5 BB cert toward a pre-order of Battlefront.  I'll definitely take time off from Destiny to play that.

Did you ever try the Sour Patch jelly beans? I haven't seen them for a few years, but they were really good. I think they only put them out around Easter back then.

I'm only a few missions in as well and have noticed that it has way more "platforming elements" in it, which I think it's cool. I still am waiting on dismantling some of my old gear just because it's weird having all green/blue items equipped since the perks are terrible, but guess you gotta get the boost in stats. The game is definitely improved, I do kinda feel myself getting a little burned out on it though because it feels like a chore almost going through the daily/weekly grind at this point.

Yeah I wouldn't mind playing it if I got a cheap phantom or resell for PS3 but that fell through so I have the gutted minimalist Year 1 beta version now. I did watch the new raid today though, it had a lot of puzzle plate and platforming again but seemed pretty cool. I'm not a fan of what Bungie has made this game (it's an MMO so you are required to get fucked and lose all old content when new content comes out and rebuy the game?) but it's still a pretty damn good shooter and fun multiplayer even if I always get my ass kicked.

You can pass on now Stotch, we've found others to protect the island for you.

So apparently there was a poll about the best PS1 game of all time that I never noticed. It ended. Here's the winners:

Plat - MGS

Gold - FF7

Silver - CB

Bronze - CB: Warped

Seeing those winners makes me wonder why I ever loved my PS1 back then. It had to be Castlevania Symphony of the Night and Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver. Even back then I didn't care for exclusives.

I don't need no stinkin' flash sale. Picked up Miinecraft PS4 for $4.99. $11.06 total for Vita/PS3/PS4 versions.

EDIT: typo stays.

Hah. Probably somebody using gamesharing. PS4 deletes phantoms automatically now. I'm not sure on the details, but some firmware a few months back started that.

It has virtually nothing to do with resident evil, but it's fast and apparently focused on short matches. Looks kinda fun..

Honestly the Vita and it's ecosystem along with how superior to everything else in the handheld space it is continues to baffle the hell out of me.
I think I'm baffled that you're baffled. The American market is where the majority of the video game money is these days. The ds has had the US market wrapped around its fingers for years for a host of reasons and I imagine the primary consumer is kids. For most non-gamer adults mobile is just fine. The vita never stood a chance here, especially once the ps4/x1 released why would American centric companies pour money into the more expensive vita development when they could make a) ps3/4 games with the larger install base or b) cheaper to produce/publish mobile games?

In Japan it's gotten some legs lately because public transportation is much more common (and it's not as socially weird to whip out a handheld on the bus) and home consoles are less desirable there (see ps4 sales numbers and the price cut). So the vita is one of the last supported outlets for companies to make Japanese focused console games and still make some money. It's one of those 'if you build it' things and it's resulted in some stronger sales. That just wouldn't happen here.
