It's Pancakes and Wren, if either of them can't make it I'll make sure to message ya.
Derek really is a boss at the game so I dont mind letting him sub in. I want to play at least one level for the 4 player trophy though. And need a bunch of kills so I am up for playing it anytime.

Then again Pancakes could get lucky and find a hot latina at any time and not make it.

Looks like Banner Saga 2 got delayed, and the Banner Saga 1 ports might not happen. Shame, I was looking forward to playing it on PS4/Vita. I know better than to pretend I'd play it on PC if I got it in a steam sale.
Seems like there's a bit of journalistic liberties in both the Eurogamer and Destructoid articles. The original lines are:

A port to PS4 was announced for 2015 but the wires have since gone cold, and publisher Versus Evil wouldn't directly clarify what was going on. A spokesperson told me he thought Banner Saga 2 would be the next release from developer Stoic, which suggests The Banner Saga 1 won't happen on PS4 before Q1 2016 - if it happens at all.
Not sure how "Banner Saga 2 will be the next release" = "Banner Saga 1 ports won't happen at all."

Since I live in Atlanta, I thought this was just a country wide thing. I have gone over before but just got a warning email. From my understanding then, they would not charge you unless it was a constant recurring problem. With that said, yes it is stupid and does suck.
3 free months a year for going over at one point, now if you go over its auto charged 10 for every 50 gb in these specific markets. Or you can pay the 35 for unlimited.

Yeah, that's a bit absurd. Inflammatory clickbait wins the clicks, though.

I'm happy to sub in micless and inexperienced if you just need a warm body to fill in for some hot 4p trophy action. I haven't looked at the list yet, I just want to shoot zombies.

Despite the game being terribly ugly, I'm not sure what you don't like about the game. Sometimes it's hard to see what items you can actually interact with, but so far I've enjoyed the game.
It's so booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring. And too convoluted for it's own good.

Also booooooooooooooooooooooooooooring.

I could see it getting overly convoluted, but hasn't yet.

Not boring for me yet. Do you not like puzzle platformers like Teslagrad and Rochard? Gameplay reminds me of those.

I am really impressed that Google was able to turn "ps3 game rock gravity" into Rochard by the 7th link. For the life of me I couldn't remember the name of the game.

It's definitely a bit of a leap there. The headline on the Eurogamer article and most of the article itself aren't nearly as bad though. Destructoid kinda took that one line and ran with it for their article.

Blizzard confirmed Overwatch is coming to consoles as well. Seems like its going to be a full $60 release and not f2p like some were suggesting.

Release dates for this one and for Battleborn seem to be getting really close together, Overwatch is aiming for late June and Battleborn just got pushed back to early May. Interested in seeing which one ends up being the preferred game.

Surprise guitar solo!!!

Puzzle-Platformers are very hit and miss with me. Loved loved loved Fez. Loved Adventures of Lolo (does that count?). Teslagrad was pretty decent and fun. I think I only played a little of Rochard on Steam. That first mouse game was OK but not that exciting.

Vessel was ugly and pretentious and not fun to me. But it works great as a sleep aid!

Hey guardian owl, now that it's out, is that Army of Darkness blu ray everything you hoped and dreamed it would be?
It got lost in shipping so it only just got to me last night, but it is the definitive version collecting all 4 cuts (Dir, Theatrical, International, TV) and most all the special features from the many, many, many home video releases as well as a brand new, feature length documentary. There are a couple of brief missing shots that will have to be replaced by the future disc replacement program (if one wishes to go through the effort for the small imperfection), but it is miles ahead of any prior release picture, sound, and extras wise. A 1 disc CE from shout factory is normally $20-29 so a THREE disc CE at the current sale price of $18 is a bargain that is worth putting up with the need to get the discs replaced in the future.

I played through Rochard on Steam. That was a great game. Got a lot right, even the characters and voice acting were pretty memorable. Too bad I didn't get trophies for that one.

I wouldn't count Lolo, that's basically just a straight puzzle game. But Lolo is fucking awesome!

Finished the STF Ultra campaign. I can get decent usage out of most of the characters, but some of them like the Mace Windu knock off and the flatulent Dirty Harry have really difficult to control / use specials. I think I only busted out mace windu 1 more time in the second to last level as his light saber can destroy enemy shots.

Have about 10 more challenge rooms to beat and the hard difficultly to play through for the plat. Thankfully you only have to speed run 1 level for the plat because there's no way I'd be able to finish it otherwise. The structure of the game is like megaman, you can tackle them in any order so there isn't really any kind of difficulty progression between completing the 1st era, and starting the final chapter which unlocks after beating all 6 eras.

I could never beat the harder difficulties in FPS anyway so I am glad I dont need to worry about the plat in this one either. Also glad that CoD games hold their TIV for a while so I can play other games and not have to rush into this one right away.

I wouldnt mind trying to play this in Co op too.
Co-op so far is fairly fun. Played on realistic tonight and it was wasn't too bad. Probably the worst campaign out of all the CoDs based on story and level design. It clearly shows that the devs put most of their effort in competitive multiplayer and zombies which I'm happy with.

Just play through hardened (surprised how easy it is), and you'll knock out most of the trophies before you trade it in.

Yeah, should definitely ditch one/both, haha. All good though. I'll be around if you need me.
I'd like to get in on at least a mission or two. I might have to head out depending on the time we play so you could sub in then.

I expected a response to him was just going to include bitching about Fez. I am shocked!
You're right.

The worst thing about his post is that he praises Fez while calling another game "pretentious". I'm not sure there's a more pretentious game out there than Fez.

I picked it up over the summer on steam and put at at least six hours into it. I found it to be a huge let down after all the hype I heard surrounding the game got me wanting to play it so bad that I was actually willing to grab it on steam. The story is completely uninteresting and may as well be non existent. The SRPG battles are work, but are very shallow. Its basically a less fun Oregon Trail, and I love SRPGS and Oregon Trail.

Fez is cute. And epic. No long convoluted you're expected to read for pages and pages. Who wants to read?

Did anyone mention this deal Sony made with Disney yet? I knew a lot of you guys had been wondering if Vue would get ESPN and now it is.

http://www.theverge.com/2015/11/5/9674528/espn-playstation-vue-announced
That plus this

In markets where that happens, Vue will be offer live feeds of all four big networks: ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC. (Sling TV, by contrast, offers none of them.)
Could be big. If they actually get Red Zone I'd definitely consider signing up.

It is kinda weird how some of the tutorials are written out in Vessel, but you don't have to read any of the non-instructional story stuff. I almost never do in games.

Bad news for anyone interested in trying for the BLOPS 3 plat:

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/call-of-duty-black-ops-iii/277999-will-hardest-cod-game-plat.html

It'll also be a bit of a grind:
The stupid accolades is just a stupid way of artificially lengthening the games. The no restarting on veteran should fairly easy for two people who already beat other cods on veteran but I'm not looking forward to the multiple playthroughs for the accolades.

Pancakes, how is BLOPS 3? According to TT, you seem to already have a bunch of the trophies.

My copy should be arriving today, and after reading that the campaign is nothing special, I'll hold off on finishing BLOPS 2's campaign trophies so I can run through the new one and trade it in while the TIV is high.
I didn't take you for a FPS player. It's alright like I told wren. Anyone who expected the campaign to be anything but average were kidding themselves. The devs said themselves their focus was on Multiplayer and zombies.

I'm gonna get a Galaxy S6 next weekend. Anyone have one? Is it cool?
I bought an S6 edge last night. I originally planned on getting a HTC One M9 (enjoy my phones a lot heavier) but the display and it being Samsung sold me. Also really enjoyed the swipe mechanic of the curved display even though a lot of the uses are pretty stupid especially the fave five friends thing.
