Which games would those be, exactly? There're no SMT games for PS3/PS4 and they're fairly unique in style. Rogue Galaxy has games that are similar, but nothing quite the same as the gameplay is a bit unique.

 
If I ever was a writer for Batman I'd like to story from the generic thug's perspective, and what happens to them after they fight Batman:

"Yeah, I was a member of Penguin's gang. Then Batman broke my leg in two places.  I have constant nerve pain, and live on disability."

"I worked for Two-Face. Batman tied me up and left me hanging upside down for over three hours. Now I have cranial swelling causing constant double vision and debilitating migraines!"

You could then have the city complaining that they're going broke paying for all the social services for these broken villians, with some conserative talk show guy yelling that Batman should just kill them and put them out of their misery.

I didn't say they exist. I just mean that wishing for NEW games in the same style (dungeon RPG, demon fusing, etc) would be better than wishing for re-makes of OLD content.

Especially if you're doing so on social media where the company is paying attention.

I wasn't wishing for remakes of those games, though...the SMT games are already on PSN and I've already bought all of them, I'd just rather play them on PS4 than PS3. Rogue Galaxy and Shadow Hearts: Covenant I'd like to see put on PSN, but that should be rather low-effort and low-cost. With the availability of both games and how popular they are they'd both sell rather well despite their age.

We aren't talking remakes, though. It's emulation, albeit with trophy infusion. That would be the only development part. I.e. "why not both?"

Even as the resident Trophy Addict, I kind of don't care. It is the same thing as backwards compatibility for me. I rarely go back to play PS3 games at this point, and I would be even less likely to go back to PS2 games.

If you read the article and they are adding trophy support by just having it triggered off of stuff in the game, it is likely to just be story progression trophies. They will likely have much of anything else. That means there are probably very few if any platinums even on games like the GTA series.

While I agree there are some great games I know I would enjoy, I think the trophy pay off for them will likely be much lower than many of you are likely anticipating. It is cool if they do have support for them, and I could see it being a money maker for Sony. I am just not sure it would be a big deal for me. I am not interested in going back and buying digital versions of all those older games.

Your definitely not the target audience for this. Especially if they dont give out plats to these games. It would be a waste of time for you to play GTA for 50 hours for 12 trophies.

I wouldnt play a lot of them but I would definitely play Vice City and Bully even if its only 12 trophies or something. But also only once the price is right. I am not spending $10 a game. $5 or less would be my price. Although I already have Vice City so if they let me download that to PS4 I would play it pretty much right away.

 
Liking the new button layout a lot more than the previous GH layout. They probably could have added another set of buttons, but from what Ive seen on youtube they dont need them to make some really hard songs.

Actually, assuming what I mentioned about story progression is true, it wouldn't be 50 hours for 12 trophies. It would likely just be finishing the story itself which is normally a fraction of the time in those games. I think a lot of the people at the top would likely be all over them.

The pricing is a huge deal in this and likely the reason there is less excitement by people here. If they came out and said here are 1000 PS2 games with all the better titles included with each being a buck and they all have trophy support it would be huge. I won't hold my breath though.

I would love it to just to story progression but if that were the case the trophies would be worth less as many people would complete them no? Which would make them less desirable for guys like you since it still takes close to 20 hours for GTA game stories. Personally I would love progression only trophies. I dont really want to do a lot of extraneous stuff in old games.

Jenny McCarthy can die in a fire.  Her non vaccinated kids could get other kids sick and even kill them.  People like her could cause long gone diseases to make a come back.

As a person of science, I admit there is no medical study that says there is any tie with vaccinations and Autism. I do not endorse the anti-vaccination movement that many parents of autistic children do endorse.

However, as a parent of not one but two autistic children, I have empirical evidence that it can play a part. My oldest son who has Asperger's Syndrome did not have any averse reaction to immunizations. I knew form the time he was born something was off. My youngest son nobody including the doctors thought there was anything wrong with him until his shots at 1.5. The very next day his vocabulary was not the same. His interaction and eye contact was not the same. So if you saw that and were in my shoes, what would you think or do? If you had another child would you vaccinate them? I do not think it was cause and effect. However, I do believe they play a part in kids that are predisposed or are on the spectrum but have not exhibited more classic symptoms.

My own pediatrician who is not a believer of the anti-vaccination movement has told us to never get flu shots for the kids and to delay immunizations as long as possible due to the history of my children that he has witnessed. Would you ignore that as a parent?

I still count us as the lucky ones. My wife has a friend from Tampa who had a child where they have video of him singing and playing at his first birthday party. He was well ahead of every single developmental milestone. He was actually even potty trained before getting his shots. Immediately after, he started going backwards. He ended up back in diapers. He lost the ability to talk, gradually became violent likely due to his inability to communicate, and sadly ended up having to be removed from the home and is under the care of the state now. Would you call his mother a dumb bitch for not immunizing the next kid they had just because there is no scientific study that shows there is in fact a tie?

Before you vilify any parent due to their beliefs that go against what the scientific community says is the case, just take a step back and think if they would really be carrying that banner if there was no reason for them to believe in it. I wish that no other parent had to ever go through what I have. However, I bet there have been more than a few people who think all the anti-vaccination parents are idiots that ended up wishing they had believed them. I know I am one.

 
Why haven't any of you assholes mentioned Baulder's Gate as one of the best PS2 games?  I played the ever loving shit out of that.

I hope tons of the great games are playable with trophies, and I'll buy them all! And I hope they're real trophies that make sense for the game, not just progression. Like GTA games should totally have 100% completion trophies, because that was a goal in the game itself.

Create a throwaway account and post on pst.org, TT, and a few other trophy whore sites about a glitch for an easy plat. Problem solved!

 
Droid Run has to be the worst fucking game mode Ive ever played in anything. It is supposed to be like domination with moving control points, but there is no score or anything. The only thing that matters is holding the 3 droids at the same time for 15 seconds, but the only thing you need to do to reset the count is activate the capture which takes like no effort since youll always spawn next to one whether your team has possesion or not. So the only other way to win just means you need to hold
2 of them in the final seconds of the game. So theres a 15 minute game mode where only the last 15-30 seconds matter. fuck you Droid run. Good thing the trophy related to it is so easy you can do it in one game.
 
Looks like Gamestop restocked on Vita games.  You could roll the dice and wait for the B2G1 if anything strikes your fancy.

 
We're having that White Elephant gifting thing in my department and the limit is $20-30. Since I'm new I have no clue what anyone would be into. They're also doing Secret Santa but I'm not participating in that one. Is the purpose to get a gag gift or a cool gift? Any ideas? I might just buy a gift card unless I can think of something unique.

It is best when there is a mix of gag gifts and good gifts. Being new I would want to get something that people would want to fight over. Gift card should work for that, but many times people will have rules for no gift cards.
