It was great for the price but that one trophy still eludes me. God damn Minotaurs that appear from thin air.
Ah, I see. I didn't run into any issues with the random stuff spawning. Struggled slightly on getting the 5,000 kills and unlocking the barbarian just because I would get caught in a bad spawn.

Most likely will only pick up Tales from the Borderlands and Life is Strange in the sales.   Really hope they have a sale on Game of Thrones soon.

Anyone else doing anything with Best Buy's buy 2 get one next week? Was going to pick up Just Cause and possibly to filler games that I can trade in... Should be able to get Just Cause for $21 after trading the two other games? That is unless they drop trade in values for the deal
The b2g1 doesn't work with pre-orders, right?

So is that the "secret" to getting that trophy?
I believe the accepted method to get the trophy is to send 6 people to Red Rocket, plant 6 muttfruits for food, have 1 farmer and 5 people running 5 clinics. Stand around in build mode until you see happiness go up, and then sleep in a bed for 24 hours and stand around again.

PS: Oh right, and cat pictures. Cat pictures on every surface possible.

I loved The Wolf Among Us story. With that said, Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones were much better. Unless there is a physical release that gets super cheap way later, that price for the whole season is about the best you can hope for. It might get to $5 at some point digitally though.

I think Episode 1 is free on the store. It might be worth using that as a demo if you don't care about your completion percentage.
I thought you got to the end of GoT and realized you didn't care enough about any of the characters for the choices to matter at all? Or was that somebody else? :whistle2:k

The only way the Vita would appear at The Game Awards is as a nominee/winner for Most Forgotten System.
I was thinking of Child of Light from last year. It didn't occur to me until just now that CoL is multiplat and didn't get nominated for Vita at all. So that makes more sense.

Picked up both life is strange and Tales from the borderlands.. roughly $17.50 for two easy play throughs and two platinum's that will be a change from all the open world games recently.

there's a thread on reddit or neogaf full of delightful speculation regarding a cloud computing patent Nintendo has if you want to pass some time. some people are theorizing that the NX will be some weirdo modular console where the primary unit is a handheld and you can add a console unit (or use cloud computing resources or other resources) to enhance the gameplay/graphics/etc seamlessly and the handheld would handle the business of video out to a tv wirelessly. I think some of the pictures even make it look a little like each console could be used as computing power for other people's gaming. but I didn't really stay too long, just breezed through the thread.

it's funny to watch people's imaginations run wild, but nintendo has always been the least online savvy company of the three and I don't expect that's changed in the last couple years. walk before you run and all that jazz.

I'll take a gander but that sounds pretty crazy already. I would think it would have to make enough sense for the average consumer while still appealing to gamers all of which that doesn't sound like.

Working with some dealerships... I get to see constant stupidity.  Like just now, dealer calls because they keep faxing a document that is not legible due to it being faxed.  I ask if she would scan and she states that won't make it any better than it is.... She had no idea the difference between a scan and a fax...  :wall:  :wall:

Vita is going strong in Japan but even indies have died off a bit, I think. Seems like we're seeing fewer PS4/PSV dual releases, anyway, and very few that only land on Vita. If that trend continues I expect we'll slowly start to see even the localizations die off without anything else to support them.

Eventually we'll end up with a dead Vita region and plenty of new jRPGs we don't have access to.

I still see a good number of games being released for the Vita. Not much retail and certainly not much AAA, but download games are flowing still. Not dead yet.

Why?
Was it because there really wasn't an ending and was just setup for season 2? Or was it because all the choices still caused you to end up with a shitty ending?
From what you have spoilered it sounds like they did a really good job of being true to the feeling of the books/show.

Oh, yeah, they're still coming out. It seems to have slowed down a bit, though. I think it'll help a lot of that Unity engine somebody was working on gets finished. That should open up a lot of port possibilities.

More because I was agonizing over choices that literally didn't matter and had the exact same outcomes, even if a different brother was alive.

Walmart: Thanks for using our pickup service. We hope it was quick and easy, and that you're enjoying your new items.

Me: No, no it was not quick OR easy.

At least I have the Far Cry 4 Complete Edition now.

Edit: The PS+ card I just tried says it is either incorrect or not valid. I specifically asked the lady at Walmart to make sure they were activated. fuck ! Now I have to go back.

I think that's partially it for me, so many jRPGs that I'm not interested in, as we've seen more localizations already than I thought we would. I think for the Vita to stick around it would need a huge price drop $99? or some other shot in the arm.

It's not that I won't play some of these and I still actively play my Vita but I've largely just starting waiting for everything to come to PLUS. I haven't felt the need to rush and buy any of these at all lately. Not to say that can't change but in general my excitement has waned considerably for these titles. It doesn't help that at times very similar type games get released. Maybe PSX will bring some fresh excitement.

Did you replay to save the other brother? I might have if I did not want to go to bed and get the game back to Gamefly the next morning.

I thought I might switch it up just to see if there was any real change if I went with the other brother.

It could not be too similar unless the older brother's wife to be got murdered so Whitehill could try to force him to marry his daughter instead of Asher (who I saved). I also wondered how it would have ended if I didnt do the ambush. I assume it just became a Red Wedding sort of deal anyway, but not sure.

You're just full of sunshine today, aren't you?
Well it has been dark, dreary and drizzly all day here. We arent used to shitty fall/winter days like this like the rest of you.

He got that big new couch and realized he has no one to sit next to him on it :(
I swear to god I dont care. I only got the dual recliners so my dad can come over and watch football with me whenever he wants.

So since my copy still hasn't shown up (Thanks Dell) should I avoid it or would you still recommend this game?

I'm one of Vita's biggest supporters but even I can see the writing on the wall. #vitasdead
I still recommend JC3 if you liked JC2. However if you want to wait to play it it should get even better once they patch the load times (we all hope). The load times are really the only annoying thing that hinders enjoyment. As much as I bitch about the odd thing here and there they arent a big deal as every open world game has oddball things to it.

I looked up playthroughs for the older brother online after I was done (I saved Asher as well). Every scene was almost exactly the same, just older brother in place of Asher. Doing the ambush didn't matter either. Everything ends up in the same place. I was excited after the fifth episode ended because I thought we finally had a real choice that mattered... but alas, we did not.

I would have all of you beat if I counted the couch and TV since I will use both to play games.  Also if I really spent any money on those things.  Since they were both on credit, which is free money, I really didnt spend anything!  lol

Played Gauntlet last night for about three hours.  For me, the game fits the definition of mindless fun.  There's not much to it; move through each dungeon, kill a bunch of enemies, collect a bunch of gold, rinse and repeat.

I think it's best played with friends that you can talk shit to; "Oh, did you need that food I just destroyed." or " Did you just die, allow me to loot your corpse."  That's the real fun of the game; trying to survive, and seeing who has the most gold at the end of the dungeon.  It's also fun racing for the crown, and if you don't get it trying to get whoever has it killed so you can grab it.

The trophies are stingy; I only got the one for beating the first boss.  And the Wizard has a spell you can purchase that is really broken.  It doesn't do a lot of damage, but it slows down the enemies and they can't attack you.  My buddy was playing as the Wizard, he would use that spell, and I would attack the group of enemies from behind with the Warrior.

Side-note: The buddy I was playing with last night I've known since 1st Grade (33 years).  There are actually four of us that have known each other since 1st Grade, and we all keep in touch.  Three of us video game together.  The fourth spends to much time chasing women, getting married, and then divorced (he just filed for his third).
