Why not see it twice?Damn it, I promised my dad and brother I'd wait until Christmas to see it with them so we can take the nephews. PLEASE don't spoil anything. I'm staying off Facebook.
That was my plan with the new Bond movie until it sucked. Why not see it twice?
I remember there were eight of us who went to see Episode 1 together. We had decided to go to a midnight showing at the new stadium-style seating theater, so a few of us went and stood in line for a couple of hours earlier that day to buy tickets. Then we got to the theater an hour or two early to make sure we got seats together. I still remember people cheering during various scenes of the movie. After the initial excitement of it being the new Star Wars movie wore off, I remember being very disappointed. Needless to say, I didn't worry about trying to see any of the subsequent movies day one. That was my plan with the new Bond movie until it sucked.
I will say that impressions here from people I trust are promising. I'm still not going to get too hyped yet, though. I took off work with some friends to see episode 1 at premiere and still remember how it didn't sink in how much it sucked until later after all the excitement about the new movies had died down. I'm not sure if any of you remember that or had the same experience. Back then it was unthinkable that the movies were going to be bad, and there was a lot of cognitive dissonance.
I am glad I dont give a shit about Amiibo and its over merchandising. It doesnt irritate me that people waste their money on dolls.I kinda wish I cared more about star wars just so all this hype and over merchandising wasn't irritating and lost on me.
Avalanche said that they're working on the performance issues (mainly the frame rate stuff) for the next patch.I played a bit of JC3 after the update last night. I didnt notice any improvement in frame rate when blowing shit up at the big bases. I died a few times and played one challenge and the load times seemed normal (same as before) to me. They may have only really fixed the issue with the random long load times. I guess we will see as I and others play more.
Okay fine, but the patch notes for this one said performance issues as well. And in my very limited testing it appears that they didnt fix load times much. If they only fixed the random long load times thats fine and all but those were the least of my concerns. Oh well. Either way as long as they are working on it thats good.Avalanche said that they're working on the performance issues (mainly the frame rate stuff) for the next patch.
Gotta love it. Last year they did extend the PSN sale so hopefully they'll do the same if it happens again this time. Luckily I've already got plenty of games downloaded to my PS4 and PS3 to play. I'll have to make sure I've got my Vita selections for the holiday ready as well, just in case.
This isn't a huge surprise. It's not really a justification for not allowing games to be emulated without trophies, but it at least tries to justify the additional cost of games with trophies added in.According to a Playstation employee, it typically takes 2-3 months to add trophies to a PS2 game for emulation: http://gamingbolt.com/dev-it-takes-2-3-months-just-to-add-trophies-for-ps2-emulation-comments-on-trophy-progression-tracker
Yeah, they definitely didn't address the load time for when you first start the game--I think that was nearly a full minute for me last night.Okay fine, but the patch notes for this one said performance issues as well. Yeah, I'll have to make sure to pop in a couple of new games so they can get whatever updates needed so I can be ready to play offline.Gotta love it. The only gripe about this whole thing that is remotely justifiable, is that there isn't some sort of upgrade fee for PS2 classics already purchased for PS3. The people who wanted disc emulation are insane and should've never expected that to happen. I'll wait on a sale, but I have no problem paying to play these games. This isn't a huge surprise. Yeah, I'm guessing the patch must have done something with the random extremely long load times. I didn't really notice any differences playing last night or this morning.I played a bit of JC3 after the update last night. Tbh, this is the one that I really wanted them to work on. The other loads typically weren't too bad, but it takes forever for the game to first start up.Yeah, they definitely didn't address the load time for when you first start the game--I think that was nearly a full minute for me last night.
It was good, it didn't quite have the punch at the end of S1, but it was still very enjoyable. There are a few light spoilers for S1 in the last episode of S2, but otherwise you could watch S1 and S2 in whichever order you wish since they take place around 30 years apart.Season 2 ("Year Two") of Fargo releases 2/23: http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Fargo-Year-2-Press-Release/21834
Not sure why you guys are worried about the start up load time. GTA games always take forever to start. The real issue is that once its loaded we shouldnt really have to deal with more than a second or two of loading in game. I would rather they make the load time to start the game take 3-4 minutes and not have any or very quick (5 seconds or less) load times once in game.
That asshole Tight End garbage touchdown gave my opponent (who was already favored by 15) a nice 8 spot. Asshole.Well at least the bucs tried to make it a game and didn't get blown out by 40.
I played it. It's a decent enough dungeon crawler at the start, but gets veeeeeeeeery repetitive very fast. Lot of content at least.Conception 2 Vita is $12:

No idea if anybody in here has played it or if it's worth bothering with, but I believe that's the lowest it's been.
Valid point I guess. I don't really play GTA games though, so no frame of reference there. I typically play games with fairly short load times at the beginning so it stands out more. The game itself doesn't seem to have to load much while playing normally and changing locations, and having to load for challenges makes sense to me because they have to add course and mission specific info. Not sure why you guys are worried about the start up load time. Yep. On the 14th.Did that latest $5 coupon for GameStop via the latest Kongregate app expire already?
Yup, they expired 12/14.Did that latest $5 coupon for GameStop via the latest Kongregate app expire already?
Were you trying to get $5 off a PS4?Bullocks on the coupon. Thanks y'all.
If it loaded like GTA did I wouldn't have bitched and probably would have played it after finishing the main story. I guess that is what I get for supporting a developer on release day. Actually If it wasn't for the Gamestop deal on used credit and having the game locally available I would have waited till probably January to play it.Not sure why you guys are worried about the start up load time. I can't say I have experienced this with either my PS4s. The disc drive can make some noise when it spins up but even that isn't too bad. It is normally fairly quiet. Then again I usually play with my Golds on so maybe I am just not noticing it. But I don't think so.My PS4 fans recently have been loud as hell. Most everything I read online says it's normal. Any of you guys had this happen?
Just git gud and plat it on Vita like I did.Hmm, looks like I'm going to have to finish Rogue Legacy on the PS3, this 15 deaths or less trophy with no architect is going to be really hard without easy save scumming on the PS3. The first rune I got on my first run was a damn curse up rune.
Got the last blueprint and finished off NG+ last night.
Trying to score a Funko for a Xmas gift, so figured I'd try to get it there with $5 instead of Target. Maybe I'll use my GS points that are just sitting there. Were you trying to get $5 off a PS4?
No, I haven't experienced that with mine. Is your PS4 in an enclosed cabinet? If so that could be the problem - open the doors. My PS4 fans recently have been loud as hell. Most everything I read online says it's normal. Any of you guys had this happen?
