I grabbed this. $10.91 shipped since I had a $5 coupon.
Lost Dimension has been interesting so far, you talk to the people in between missions and you get a sense of their differing personalities. So far i think my favorite is the girl who is small in stature and fakes a British accent to be "cute," but has a TON of HP and her punches hit like a truck.

In addition to equipable weapons, you can equip one gadget (which functions like a piece of armor) that you can select what type of damage you want to have extra protection against, or you can just buff HP by a small amount. Then you have 2 app slots (like ring slots), apps will boost one of your stats so if you want to boost DMG, or Crit rate, or psychic attack damage, whatever, you can choose. Then there is a skill tree for each character which are a mixture of several passive abilities and selectable special attacks (called gifts). There is a lot of room for customization.

Gifts are psychic abilities, basically they are a mixture of magic and super powers. Each time you use a gift or you take too much damage, your sanity diminishes. If you let it reach zero on a character, they go Berserk. This GREATLY boosts their attack power, but they are now computer controlled and will attack ANYONE who comes close to them, including allies.

It's a turn-based strategy RPG like Final fantasy tactics, but the viewing perspective is down on the ground like a 3rd person shooter. You can only move so many steps per turn. If there is no one in range to attack you can either select wait to regain some sanity, use an item, use a gift to buff yourself or allies, or (if you are close to another ally) you can use a little sanity to transfer your turn to someone who has already had a turn that round (called Defer).

Each time you attack, any allies who are also in range will also attack. That is also the case with the enemy as well, So if one ally walks into the middle of 4 enemies and attacks, on the enemy's turn each time 1 of them attacks, the other 3 will join in with an assist attack. So 4 enemies taking turns attacking translates into you getting attacked 16 times total. This encourages your group(s) to stick close together while attempting to pick off stragglers from the enemy group.

Whenever one character attacks another, if the enemy is in range they have a chance to counter attack, but only against the character that makes the first attack (if there are follow-up assist attacks) So if for instance the person taking their turn is low on HP, they can walk to within attack range of the enemy, defer their turn to someone with higher HP, and let them attack. The character low on HP will still do an assist attack, but the ally with higher HP will eat the counter-attack.

How is that CAGMath? I get 10% off their prices and I have a $5 coupon code? Am I supposed to factor in my subscription price as part of it? If so, still stands since it was a gift.
Well the 10% is pretty negligible but the $5 coupon code could be used on any game (though admittedly you don't use them often).

But mostly its just CAG Math because you mentioned a price that wasn't actually available to the vast majority of us in the thread and it ended up confusing someone.

It's weird that Oreshika isn't listed with the other games on sale. That's a significant discount for a digital-only JRPG.

I see your point in the price nobody else can get part.

I have actually let them expire in the past on more than one occasion. I only tend to buy games that are super long where renting may not make much sense. It might be how I finally end up getting JC 3 in 6 months or so.

Hope no one bought Citizens of Earth for PS4 a week ago for $5, that's a pretty quick slap. Now it (and the vita version) are $3.

SR3 is definitely better, but it is only on PS3. YUCK! Id think you should be able to get SR4 and Gat out of Hell together for $10 though.

I'm gonna at least get the Sound Shapes DLC bundle with it since I don't see it going on sale soon. Sweet, sweet silver trophies.
Bah, fine. WHO NEEDS YOU

Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD's Vita version is $2.75. I'm also considering The Fall ($4) and LA Cops ($4.50).

EDIT: Looks like I'm also considering Oreshika at $5.
LA Cops is pretty fun and mindless. It's like a worse version of Hotline Miami, and a pretty easy plat once you get the hang of the controls.

I'll try finding some other gameplay videos. The one I watched had the guy trying over and over again to jump over something and it looked pretty not fun. Maybe he was just an idiot.
It's one of those games that definitely won't get you excited by watching gameplay vids, but I enjoyed it and it's got a certain charm to it as well. Oh, and last I checked some of the trophies were really rare, so there's that.
