PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Went with Retro City Rampage DX in the Flash sale.  Was thinking about Lego Batman 3 or Lego Hobbit from the weekly but I'll wait for $5 on those or less.

I have a small theater near me that gets all the Oscar movies around this time, so I try to go see them all this time of year. Tonight I saw Brooklyn, which was better than I thought it would be. The female lead (she has some crazy Irish name I'm not going to remember) is up for best actress, and she was pretty damn great.

Yeah, that one. I knew it was about fighting Mexican cartels but that's it so the entire movie was a pleasant surprise on how it went.

Saoirse Ronan or something like that. She had some good roles as a child. She was a badass in Hannah and I remember her being the jerk sister in Atonement and lead in The Lovely Bones. I like her and will eventually watch Brooklyn and all the other major nominees.

In retrospect it wasn't that big of a deal that I missed a shade and had to play through the entire game again. It took me going through 2/3rds of the shades to get enough holy / unholy to get to level 7 in both anyway. It's also going to take me to the 85% point or so before I'll have enough souls to buy all the moves. So missing that 1 shade means probably only an extra 35-45 minutes of playing.

Happens very frequently when cross-buy versions of the same game come out for the different consoles at different times. I think they replace the download file or something, but your license is still active for the game. You just have to "re-buy" it for free.

It is showing a price for me in cart. I dont remember that happening before.

Is the vita game listed as free? I had the same thing and when I "bought" the vita version for free the rest showed up as purchased. I thought I had forgotten to grab it but apparently I didn't forget.

I think Shadow of Mordor uses the DS4 speaker better than any other game I've played on the system. It's pretty damn cool.

The trophy card for the GOTY edition is super lame, though.

 
Should be at 1000 exactly when PSN Profiles updates.

Also decided to get the Premium subscription over there because I use the site all the time and it's a pretty awesome site.

Only the Day One edition came with FFXV. The picture shown does say Day One, but the description does not and the details further down specify it as a pre-order bonus. It's possible you could still get that version but it's also very possible you might not. Something to be aware of.

 
I got the premium access to PSNP a lot while ago when I was trophy hunting all the time. It's cool to be able to update whenever you want. Plus it's only like $10.
 
I'll probably get the PSNP premium at some point as well.  I agree with Tyler that it's good karma to support people and products you like and use.  It's why I'll keep buying these PS2 games on launch and not bitch about a few bucks on things like the recent GTA sale.  I like to put my money where my mouth is, so to speak, even if it's just a drop in the bucket.

I'll probably support it to, now that I think about it. Especially now that it's getting loads of trophy guides. They're so much better on PSNP than they are pst.org, both from formatting and because it pulls from your trophy list.

I could only think of Resogun too for the speaker. In terms of the lightbar, Destiny had it shine as a flashlight and Amplitude changes colors based on which colored ship you use. The new Fat Princess also changes colors based on which character you are. That makes sense that that's standard/nothing special. I'm sure I've forgotten others.

We've dug out the cars and walk, ready to be dumped on by an eventual plow. There's a truck parked on the wrong side of the road down the street and until that's moved I don't think a plow is going to be able to get up our street. Nobody knows who's truck it is. It's pretty pleasant out now. 28° but sunny and little wind. Good day for digging out.

PSN Profiles layout is way better, but I don't hate the TrueTrophies layout.

Cro's right about TT though, nobody uses it. There's 23,436 profiles on the TT leaderboard, compared to 298,000+ profiles on its sister site TrueAchievements. If TT could reach that level of popularity then it would be my favorite trophy site.

They're going to tack shipping onto that Limited Run version of the game too, huh? 3x as much for a non-crossbuy version of the game just to get it retail is just way too much for me, regardless of the collectibility.
