Once you finish the game on any difficulty you can use bonuses on your subsequent playthroughs. In past games you had to keep the same difficulty but in 4 you can start a new game on crushing and have all bonuses available. Using Barok with auto aim, bullet time and infinite ammo is awesome.

Also I think I forgot to mention in here that I punctured my ear drum yesterday. It's making doom harder than it should be since I can't hear very well out of my right ear what witht he hole in my ear drum and what I think is fluid build up behind it.

Good thing I already had a checkup with the doc scheduled Wed.

Sometimes I wonder if the universe works the way it does just by accident, or if there's really something pulling the strings. 

Almost 6 years ago to the day, I apparently found the female version of Therm. After I made an obnoxious Facebook post about Lost bloggers, some chick who wrote for the same site as me had a Therm-like response:

Also grabbed this Sumatra Mountain Brown by Founders. Drinking it now. Quite possibly my new favorite beer, its simply delightful. Even has a peanut butterish flavor thing going on along with the coffee flavor.

I had to go back and get that one. I interacted with the lemur the first time but missed the apple vendor apparently. They included an extremely clever and funny trophy soon after that. Laughed my ass off when I found out it was a trophy.

Cosmetics. You can get all the cosmetics via the vanity chest if you play enough, though. Pretty sure you can't get duplicates like in Black Ops 3.

lol. Looking at the uncharted 4 PST forum and there's an exploit thread for pretty much every complete playthrough trophy. Cool if you just want the plat ASAP, I guess.

My favorite trophy guides are the ones where it tells you how to glitch the trophy rather than give you any tips on actually doing it.
 
Have Prototype 1 and 2 gone on sale in the past?  I meant to buy them during the recent Activision sale, but forgot.  I'm hoping they go on sale again because $39.99 and $29.99 is way too much.

That was the second time they'd gone on sale. The previous time they were more expensive. Activision isn't known for having good sales so you'll need to take what you can get.

It's pretty stupid and a lot of them don't even seem to work consistently. I've been doing like Stotch mentioned and using Barok/Bullet Time and am on chapter 12 of Crushing run with 93% accuracy so it wont be a problem getting it legit.

 
Just got my $10 for pre-ordering DOOM. Kinda surprised since I pre-ordered it the 12th (night before release) and I recall it taking quite a bit longer to get the reward when you did that last minute.

Hopefully they go on sale for even cheaper in the future. ;) I've been on a bit of an open-world sandbox game kick as of late.

Beat and 100%'d Bully and now I'm a little over halfway though Saints Row IV. Gonna move on to Gat Outta Hell next.

I have the GTA collection, GTA V (beat on last gen), Just Cause 3, Sleeping Dogs, etc. etc. on the backlog, as well.

I love game shopping at pawn shops!

Nice. I ordered mine months ago (only put $5 down). See I too got my 500 points. Will put it towards UC4 or MCC.

On the last chapter of Doom. Great game. I found a couple spots pretty hard. Boss battles mostly.

I just finished ch6. The maps are taking me way too long. I've been exploring fully as I progress but with the locked areas I keep having to backtrack to grab stuff. Starting next chapter I'm going to try rushing through and killing everything and then going back for the loot, hopefully that'll speed things up. ~1.5 hours per map is probably much longer than it should be taking.

I've died a few times to the Barons of Hell. Their close and long range attacks are hard to avoid--seems like the best way has been to use a nearby powerup or use the phase gun's stun ability to make them pause and then hammer the fuck out of them.

Yeah I am just playing through and enjoying the game.  Will trade it this week and pick up UC4.  Will probably rebuy Doom when cheap and chase down the collectibles and play through it again.  Not sure I could beat this game on the hardest setting anyway.  Maybe if I spent more time leveling everything up first.  Even so I am pretty leveled up and still had a tough time in a few sections.  And I still haven't beaten the game yet (one last chapter/boss fight to go).

You don't have to beat it on the hardest setting. There's a trophy for beating it on any of the originally available difficulties (Ultra-Nightmare is locked until you beat it once) and then there's a trophy for beating the first stage on Ultra-Nightmare. That's it.

This is on 50/50 FiOS in NY.

More legit than the exploits that are running rampant on PST at least.

And it is still a challenge to some extent because they borrowed a little too heavily from TLOU with the "If you don't stealth this perfectly you will get overrun with enemies" approach. Cover also seems to get destroyed pretty quickly on Crushing.

I'm starting to get real sick of this in Ch. 17, combined with the crazy-frequent, perfect-aim grenade throwers on Crushing.

 
Should have been able to trade in Uncharted 4 for $44.80 yesterday, except for the geniuses over at Best Buy swapped it's TIV with Trackmania Turbo in their system, so it's listed at $15 even though it was advertised as the feature trade in game for $28 (plus 50% TIV bonus which ended yesterday.)

Best Buy has really been on a roll lately. I'm totally getting someone fired!!!

Yesterday it was sometimes really bad, 1550 Kbps was the worst. I did a traceroute to MLB.com but I don't know if that's the same location as the stream servers. Averaged 15 hops, but I don't know how to read the output - don't know if anything was a problem. Anyway, might not be the right address.

Yeah, that amazon thread says that Sony, Microsoft, and Nikon products are no longer saying they need approval. I'll assume either some programmer wrote bad code that had to be rolled back or some field got flagged in a database somewhere that caused it.

Frys has Avatar 3D for 13 bones as part of their weekly sales, online and in store.  When I went, there were about 25 copies on the rack so it seems they'll have plenty.  Also snagged State of Decay for 10 bucks with a promo code (12.99 - 3) for the Xbone.

Is anybody actually looking forward to Avatar 2? Hits in 2018, supposedly....9 damn years after the first one which wasn't even that good. Can't imagine it doing near as well as the first which was more a 3D vehicle than anything else.

 
PUR now lets you decide if you want to stash your points (why wouldn't you) or have them automatically redeem monthly for a 5-15 dollar Gamestop reward.  I checked and it defaults to stash so there shouldn't be any wtf happened to my points outrage.  Link to check is https://login.gamestop.com/Profile#powerup and you'll see a Reward Preferences section.
