Well, This is my fist posting so be nice. Anyway I went to TRU to look for the PSONE LCD combo, and they were out of the PSONES, but the screens were listed for about 60 dollars. On the off chance I had the guy price check the LCD screen and it came up as 17.98. This was in Burlington, VT. Also I have found a mod for like 8 dollars at radioshack and the screen will work with any system. Here is a link to the mod:

$35 in the City of Industry but beware of the new $6.00 surcharge that California has now on video screens 4" and larger. I got lucky and found 2 at Brea for $22 and they didn't charge me the surcharge.

Found a couple left at TRU in Hazlet TRU (NJ)
$18.XX each (at the table in the videogames section)

The same table has Arc the Land PS2 for $5, Soul Cabur 2 for PS2 ($7) and Beyond Good and Evil (PS2) for $7
I know this is probably a stupid question. Sorry about that. But what is TRU? Thanks for the info
If you use a modern web browser, hold your mouse over the underlined TRU. The name will pop up on your screen in a little text box. It's called a "mouse-over".

Ah, the heck with it. TRU is short for "Toys 'R Us", a popular toy store retail chain in the North American continent.
The Woodbury, MN store still has one LCD screen left, and about five bundles. I grabbed one of the screens earlier today. Happy me!
I live in woodbury and went to woodbury TRU yesterday and the clerk told me they are sold out of the LCD screens. I asked the clerk how much was it, and he said 17 bucks and one person bought them all. Bummer.

If you went there yesterday when they were sold out, then how could have he bought a screen today?

How much was the bundle btw?

That sucks. Umm... ask again? They most definitely had two today, one of which I purchased.

They're still $50, though that's not a bad deal if you're in the market for a PSone.

I've been looking for a PSOne combo for a good price for a little while now. After seeing this I called up my local TRU and the guy said he didn't have any, but he wasn't very helpful so I don't know if I trust him. Gunna have a look for myself on thursday.

I went online and searched on Gamestop. They have the combo listed at $49.99 on the website. I used the store locater and saw that a store near me had 3 in. I called and they did in fact have them. Before I hung up I asked how much they were. After his shock was over, he told me $149.99! He couldn't believe it either.

In any case, if someone could pick me up one I would be very grateful. I have ebay and gametz refrences and would be willing to send paypal first to someone who has establised themselves on either this, ebay or gametz.

Lol, no comment

Noticed that they had them on clearance at the K-Mart near me as well... then I saw the price tag: $104.00 !!!

You really have to wonder why they even bother marking it down...

$111.00 at the EB near me (Manhattan). I wanted to walk up to the manager and slap the shaq-fu out of him, but couldn't. Stupid probation...

I bought an LCD screen from a local TRU last week. It was a great deal, but unfortunately it was defective.

I called the store as soon as I found out (about 2 days later), and they guy on the phone told me they were sold out. So I called all the other TRUs in the area. Same deal. But one of the other stores was supposed to have some coming in this week. So I called them back tuesday. No good. Supposedly some came in stock, and were promptly sold. So I call again today, and the guy says the item has been discontinued and that they were not getting any more in stock.

I tried the first store (the one I bought the defective unit from) again, and the woman on the phone said they had them in stock! I said, "Can you hold one for me?" She says, "Honestly, we have so many there's no need for that." I said, "How many?" She says, "Nearly 60."

I was in complete shock. So I asked her how long they had been in stock, and she replied, "For years. Since they were released." I wasn't happy to hear that, since the guy I had talked to last week told me they were sold out. So I asked her if she could hold one for me anyway, just to make sure I'm not wasting a trip out there. She says, "Unless someone bought them all today, you won't have any problem. But I'll double check for you." On hold for about a minute. She comes back, "I'm sorry. It says here in the computer that someone purchased FORTY-FIVE of them yesterday. We don't have any left, except one defective return."

I couldn't believe it, and I told her as much. I mean, I was polite about it. I wasn't yelling or anything, but I couldn't believe it. Anyway, she was nice enough to check the inventory of other stores on her computer, which is more accurate because the stores had just done inventory. She did find one store that had 1 left for me, and I called them up to have them hold it, and amazingly it turned out fine.

The guy was even cool enough to let me power it up in the store to make sure it worked. So in the end, I got my working LCD screen, but with a bit of extra hassle.

My TRU had two... They were both returns and they were both $40.

Can anyone please pick up a cheapy PSone LCD screen if they find one or have an extra? I'll pay for the actual cost of the screen (if it's a good price) plus shipping+tracking and a little extra. PM me if you can help...

I'd like to shit in the mouth of whomever bought all 45 screens.

yeah I was at TRU one day and they had the screens. I bought one and then decided I to come back later and get a couple more for some CAGers when I got back some guy had already bought all the screens. The cashier said he and his brother owned a video game store in russia and he bought them to sell there

They have a combo at a TRU near me, but they are still trying to charge $109.99 for the combo. Can anyone post a copy of thier reciept so I can try to get them to price match? Do you think that they would price match?

The combos and remaining LCD are above and to the right of the registers, behind a big lift-up panel. They'll have to grab a ladder to retrieve them.

Man, what's up with the employees saying they don't have the things when they're *right* there above their heads?

Well, I managed to get the last screen they had (the one they had in the display case) in Springfield, OH. It was the Intec model, and my screen resolution is pretty good. Awesome for the $17 pricetag.

They only price match sales ads...

AFAIK the combo isn't clearance, but I don't know since my store hasn't had them forever. I'll have to check the computer to check the price tomorrow.

I got one at the TRU in Montabello. It was 40 bucks. It was the last one, the guy who sold it to me said he didn't even know they had those in stock. It's not the best deal, but I really wanted one.

Damn you for taking the ones in Brea, that was my next stop.

$26 at the TRU in Cary, NC.

Now without the PSone as a base... how do I get this thing to stand up? I might have to make some sort of bracket it can screw into so it can stand up.

Hell I'll sell you one of my extras at cost I got from Santa Ana for $28.98 plus tax if you're willing to drive down to Long Beach.

The two I found are Sony, sealed.

They had one Intec, green tagged, priced $99.

Store still had two Sony's left after the two I bought.

I work at the Culver City TRU (for that person asking for Los Angeles).

I know my store has like 12 screens, they are ringing up for $26.98 though.

AFAIK that charge isn't valid on those screens. The TRU memo that talks about the recycling fee has a list of SKNs to charge the the fee on. The PS1 Screen SKN isn't on there AFAIK.

But it's true...anything with a screen larger than 3.5" is suppose have a $6 charge for it for the "recycling" fee.

Thanks but I'm cool. I don't see what I would do with more then one. But now that it has stoped raining I should make a trip to the beach.

Just picked one up for $34.98, went directly to Radio Shack for the cords, took it home, connected a Dreamcast and found that I had the dark screen problem.   Off to see if I can exchange it at another TRU since I got the last one. Does any one know how difficult it would be to get another one from Sony under warranty if I need to?
