Wow, I was wondering when Flair would finally lose his mind. This has been a long time comin'.

Too bad he didn't injure himself though, then there'd forever be the joke of Flair got beat by a book. Oh well better luck next time.

Does anyone know what the bonus is with the DX DVD in the Best Buy ad? It almost looks like its something about Vengeance.
Trish's wrestling topic!

Or maybe Tatanka's...
I know I don't post a whole lot anymore in here, but I second the Trish one, if solely for her selling of that spear. I'm still amazed by how well she sold that.
I may have to go back and watch Trish if it was that good. I was all about some New Super Marios Bros tonight instead of Raw.
How about the Big Bully Busick topic?

oh and has there ever been a worse finishing manuever than the thumb of doom?

Seriously, Vince has lost his fucking mind if he really thinks that pushing Jamal to the moon is a good idea.

Why? He's getting over as a credible monster and has a great manager in Estrada.

Also interesting to note when I chopped the commercials out for encoding, Flair and Foley were the meat of the longest segment of the night, which clocked in at near 15 minutes. At least creative can see when they have something great and let the guys run with it.

Busick never did anything but wear cool hats - and use the Stump Puller as a finisher.

I think that Umaga is working for Vince (funny that one would complain about HHH doing his duties, but I digress), but I am willing to bet that Jamal proves himself a jackass and/or otherwise unreliable guy sooner than later, and be gone by the time Royal Rumble comes around. Unless he really has changed for the better. I sure wouldn't put money on it, however.
Holy crap...

Cena FU'd Viscera.
why did that shock anyone. he did the same thing to the big show. If he could FU the big show he could do it to viscera.

Viscera is heavier than Big Show.

Eh, maybe. Viscera's slimmed down from the past, and Show is a bit taller where he can 'hide' the extra weight. They're both billed at 500, but obviously that isn't to be believed.

Ok, I just got home from work an hour or so ago, and I got done putting outhte new releases. In our case of the DX DVD (30ish) there was a white label that said it contained 8 complete matches. It was a white sticker on the front, but didn't say Best Buy exclusive. It Also was just the old cover with HHH, HBK, and Chyna, and doesnt have the wrap around it. I'm thinking the wrap was just to edit the cover for the Sunday ad. (If you didnt figure it out, I work at Best Buy)
(If you didnt figure it out, I work at Best Buy)
Dddduuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........ I never ever would of guessed you worked for Best Buy there WAJedi.

On a more serious note.... King Booker Wrestling Topic please and thank you.

Ok, just watching Raw now...Mick Foley is my hero. He is one of my favorites of all time, if not my complete favorite, just because of his promo abilities.

I'm used to having to spell things out for people. Some people are a bit slow on the boards here (though not really in this thread).

I would assume honestly with a community as large as CAG there will be a few slow folks amongst us all.

It's not so much the H's as it is everyone doing the job to Umaga... and run-ins or not Triple H did a boarderline clean job to Umaga as no weapons were used, not to mention a rather slow 3 count. With that there's really no one left on Raw for Umaga to face, except Edge.

What leads me to believe Viscera is heavier is the effort it took Cena to keep Vis up. Also, no one has picked up Vis like Big Show. Show has been top rope suplexed before and body slammed before by smaller guys. I never saw anyone other than Big Show pick up Vis before.

Good point - I assume he beat Cena? The reason I don't remember is the same reason I don't know anyone involved in the Diva Search. I just don't care. Don't love it, don't hate it; just don't care.

Rest assured, HBK or HHH will be the first to beat him.

He beat him due to an Edge run in.

Here are my random thoughts on raw...

- The opening McMahon's segment was terrible. I honestly can't stand Vince sometimes, plus im so tired of the "evil owner" angle.

- I was looking forward to the Mickie/Trish match but at the same time i like the angle that Edge is doing right now with not getting the respect he should. On a side note I wish Lita would disappear.

- The Benjamin/Kane match was actually pretty decent. I really like the way Benjamin was selling all of Kane's moves especially the throat thrusts and chokeslam. I thought Bejamin begging the ref to count faster was funny as well.

- I didn't really care for the Cena/Viscera match, although him pulling off the FU was pretty cool. Cena's mic work before the match was pretty hit or miss... some stuff was ok but some was just really weak.

- The week in WWE history was awesome.

- The mixed tag was decent. Edge's spear to Trish was BRUTAL. I'm really liking Carlito as a baby face.

- The Flair/Foley segment was excellent. I could watch Flair promo's like that all goddamn day. I cannot wait for this match at summerslam.

- The Lawler/Orton match was boring.

- I don't care about Jeff Hardy.

- I hate The Miz, he is a huge bag of douche and the diva search contest is mindnumbing.

- Didn't watch the main event.
- I hate The Miz, he is a huge bag of douche and the diva search contest is mindnumbing.
I hate that goofy ass hair cut of his.

If anyone else has that cut, I'm sorry but it looks ridiculous.

And drop the hoo-rah. It's LAME. If you are going to have a catchphrase at least make it a real damn word.

So i take it Big Show isnt bringing in another Raw/SD "superstar" to fight this week?

It'd be funny if they built up all this Sabu vs. Big Show just to have Angle take the #1 contendership.

I expect TBS (mebbe even RVD instead?) to help Sabu win (ain't gonna be no clean win between Sabu/Angle) and set up a championship angle (assuming Sabu wins the belt at SummerSlam) between Sabu and Angle.

I suspect TBS will help (or accidentally screw up trying to help Angle win) and that will lead to Paul-E being pissed at TBS for making Sabu #1 contender.

Honestly i'd like to see some kind of three way dance between them for the title or maybe a fatal 4 way with RVD included

Survival of the Fittest is supposed to be coming back to Cleveland early October with rumors of Christian making another appearance, is it usually easy to get tickets at the door or should I try and grab some reserved seats on their site? I don't really want to be front row at my first show, but I'd also like to make sure I get a seat... 3rd row might not be too bad and it's only $20, is there a general set price for General Admission?

I actually went front row for my first ROH show (Rebirth Stage 1). Totally worth it Geno. :D

3rd row is great - it was a bit too close for the BJ Whitmer/Necro Butcher barbed-wire rope match; I now know I don't care for watching hardcore matches in person, and appreciate the desensitization and distance that watching it on TV provides.

3rd row are perfect, IMO, but if you wait long enough, you can get General admission (basically row 5-6 and up) for $10 before the show. It's all festival seating style, so if you want to sit close get there early. There really are no bad seats at an ROH show, and if you're an autograph hound, the guys are typically walking around the crowd during the show (after their matches), and they've all been very approachable.

I think ROH is genius in how they end shows - they often do something to get the crowd out of there quickly. This last time, the show ran late, and the building was hot as hell, so getting people out wasn't hard. The time before that, they had Homicide and someone else (Bryan Danielson, I think) brawl through the crowd and out into the parking lot right after the main event ended. People all followed them out of the building, then they went back in on the side door, and the front doors were locked. ;) fuckin' genius, that was.

I sat in the 3rd row of a WWE house show once upon a time, for some reason I was compelled to do that Hardy Boyz hand signal after Matt won a singles match, he saw me and started doing it too! I know if I posted this story on the Matt Hardy message board all the hippos would be wet with envy, alas I am not a member. Anyway close seats kick ass since you can actually interact with the wrestlers to a certain degree.

The copy I bought had the wrap on it but there wasn't any bonus DVD. It was a Vengeance mini poster... The part about the DVD being Best Buy exclusive is that the DVD itself is Best Buy exclusive. Apparently they're the only ones selling it (aside from WWE.com).
Booooo...I wonder why mine didnt get it.
You're not missing much, the poster isn't even full sized. Its about 14"x14"...

I really feel like I got screwed on bonuses today. First, there's the shitty poster for the DX DVD and then I end up with the fucking stupid ass Best Buy bonus disc instead of the Target bonus disc inside the Prison Break season 1 set that I bought at Target. Tried to return it and the other Target had the wrong disc inside too...
I wonder if Scorch went to ECW tonight.
Negative. As fun as it would've been, the new ECW doesn't do much for me and I loathe SmackDown. Had ECW been seperate, I would've been there.. maybe. Depends on the price.

Ok....

Balls Mahoney + Cradle of Filth shirt = LOL

Questionable commentary from the vampire match...

Styles: "Whether or not you believe in vampires...."

Sabu and Angle both need to talk less. Probably not at all in Sabu's case. Angle's ok if he's being goofy but is too forced when he's trying to be serous.

You know, you asked the question and I answered the question, yet somehow I looked over the fact that ECW is on RIGHT NOW. Crap.
