I HATE NOT BEING 18. I don't understand why parents ALWAYS want to engage in a power struggle whether they're right or wrong. And if they're wrong, it only makes it so much fucking worse for them to try and project shit out on others to make themselves feel better about being wrong.

I dont have that problem anymore since I moved out. That really sucks though. My parents dont care about me enough to try to do that shit to me.

Can you fucking believe that my parents won't let me go to a fucking sleepover for my friends fucking birthday party?
And now they don't want to get me a car because "I'm too irresponsible" and "I'm going to become a delinquent."
For the record, I already hang out with "the wrong crowd."
Its fucking ridiculous, they want to crush any little bit of social life that they haven't taken away. It seems the fact that I work my fucking ass off and have a 3.97 fucking GPA doesn't mean shit to them.


Just ~1.5 years until I'm 18 and 51 days until I have my driver's license. I'm counting down the days and I can't fucking wait.

Shit, I feel like playing some RE4 today, but I left my gamecube at a friend's house. If I knew the code for his garage door I'd just go over and play there, but unfortunately I do not. Also, It's almost an hour away. :lol:

Fortunately for me, I turn 18 just before I'm either moving off to college, or moving in somewhere else, because I'm fortunate enough to have a place to stay for either free, or a cheap price each month. I have it ALL planned out the second I turn 18, I just gotta get there first. :\

Well, if your living under their roof, you'll probably have to do what they say. Since my parents know I'm better off living with my b/f, they pretty much gave me complete freedom to do whatever I want. It actually made me more mature and responsible. Sometimes when I'm with my girl friends at school, I start to wonder if they're really immature, or I'm just mature.

My main issue with them is that they are incredibly reestrictive and (IMO) don't give me the priveleges I deserve for all the hard work I do.

It shouldn't be too tough because I'm appliying to volunteer at the local library (its like I'm applying for a job, which is ridiculous. Being a library, I'd expect them to snap up any one they can to work for them for free) to get the minimum 20 hours of service for NHS (Natiobal Honor Society) and for my college resume.

I turn 18 later in Nov. I really really don't want to, symobillically, I feel like there is so much shit I should have done in my 'childhood' that i haven't done yet. Plus, I'll feel skeevy dating any underclassman at my HS because that technically makes me a pedo, even if shes 17.
 
I have to read 40 pages of Poor People's Movements while highlighting and stopping to take notes. which makes it feel like 100 pages. on top of that, academic writing is dryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I doubt anyone will really care if an 18 year old dates a 17 year old as long as you are both students. If they do then they have too much free time on their hands. Dating doesn't = sex all the time anyway and there is bigger stuff in the world to worry about. For example, seniors taking juniors to a prom is nothing new.
