[12/20/23 edit] I know this thread hasn't seen much action for a while. It's because Raise doesn't put out nearly as many coupon codes as it once did. Most of the time they aren't worth mentioning. But the information in this post is still valid, and helpful, so I'll leave it as is. I'm still around to update the post so feel free to mention any coupons you find, or questions you may have.

Tips:
1. The most common issue with ordering is needing to be verified. Raise has very strict security checks and your order may be flagged if there are any discrepancies between your payment and registration info. This most often affects new users and you will need to call them to sort it out.
Raise customer service number is (888) 578-8422. If you call during business hours and it tells you the phones are down, it just means they are busy. Try calling again in a few minutes.
CAGs have reported the phone reps are usually pretty nice and helpful, but getting connected can be slow.

that might be the worse they've done to eShop for one these sales yet, usually they only drop it down to ~5-6% discount before the code instead of the normal 6-8% discount

 
So I made an account through OP's referral link and tried to buy $5 eshop with the raise cash which came to $1 and $50 eshop with coupon codes which was $39.10 on separate transactions and they cancelled both almost immediately and banned my account for no reason so what gives?

Their security checks are very strict and likely flagged your account in error.

Guess I haven't purchased anything in a minute, so they threw $5 at me to entice me - and it worked. Picked up a $25 PSN for $17.23. The current percentages on the PSN cards looked to be in the 11% range, so not too shabby (especially vs earlier when I checked).

 
For what it is worth. PSN is currently up to 14.7% off right now on any $50 card. So without any promos or new sign up deals, you are still getting $8 off 50. Highest I have seen it in a while. If you are a new member, you can get a really good deal right now. Use code FIRST for extra 10% off, and $5 sign up, and you can get a $50 PSN for about $34. Just off the top of my head, so math may not be perfect but it's close.

I was able to sign up to receive text messages and got a code for for $10 off purchase over $100. Even with a current account.

I bought (3) $50 codes for $116.45, a savings of 22.4%.

You would need to place two orders:

Step 1: Sign up thru a referral link to get $5 raise cash (you will need this for your 2nd order)

1st order, buy a $50 and a $25 psn card:

$50 PSN card is 7.6%off = $46.22
$25 PSN card is 1.60% off = $24.60
Use coupon code 10RAISEAF to get $10 off your first purchase.

Your total will be $60.82 for $75 in PSN cards

2nd order:

$25 PSN card is 1.60% off = $24.60
Use coupon code MERRY to get $1.23 off which makes it $23.37

So after the two orders you will have paid $79.19 for $100 in PSN

It's a little tricky because to use the new customer coupon you need to order over $50. And a single $50 psn is only $46.22. But, the $25 psn cards are only discounted 1.6% ($24.60).

Because the new customer coupon gives $10 off it trumps all other coupons so it should always be used first. The reason for two orders is so you can use today's promo code MERRY and also so you can apply the $5 raise cash.

If there are any other gift cards you're looking to buy you could split them so you're buying a $50 psn and something else to get you over $50 on the first order. Then buy another $50 psn with the second order. That way you take advantage of the bigger discount on the $50 cards.

To be fair though, Xbox is the only one to consistently offer currency as a reward for simple tasks, like searching on Bing and starting games on your Xbox. Nintendo and Sony only JUST started offering promotional rewards for subscription service renewals.

Another point is that GPU features so many new/popular games that people rarely have to spend as much currency as they do on other platforms. Think I only spent $50 total to lock in the maximum 3 year conversion in 2019, too.

Check your emails/accounts. I just had $10 deposited into mine. Probably since I haven't purchased anything in awhile. Grabbed a $20 eshop card for $8.80. They have $10 eshop cards, but it doesn't let you use the whole amount and get it for free.

Thanks for the notice. Did the same as you with the $20 eShop card for $8.80. I've about written off on buying anything from them, since the discounts have been either poor or few and far between. Free money always gets me to take another look, however.

 
I don't even remember making an account at this place but I just went there and sure enough I had an account with a $10 promo. Grabbed $50 PSN for $38.50. I think I've got some PSN credit in my account already so I might even pre-order Returnal now!
