Most of the stuff that Gamestop price drops tends to be in line with universal price drops, but because not all of them are, this thread is warranted. Also, if the price of the new item has dropped in price, expect the used item price to similarly follow suit and be $2-$5 less than its new retail price. Sometimes the used version drops first, but both are often around the same time.

Many of these items are sold out in stores since they're old and won't get restocked (Gamestop, after all, tends to make most of its money from selling used games), so you'll have to do a zip code store search for the appropriate title to hopefully find it in your area if you can't buy the item online.

All of this information is presented on the Gamestop website, but because of their new "Price Drop" algorithm, it doesn't really display when new price drops hit. Since I started keeping a running list for current platforms, I figure its easy enough to do a comparison to my lists every week. I generally run the reports once a week on Wednesday mornings, because I've noticed most price drops occur on Monday or Tuesday mornings so I wanted to catch those on the weekly report. If you find price drops sooner than my weekly Wednesday morning report, feel free to post them in the thread so others can get a "head start". I no longer have time to maintain this thread due to my new job but feel free to continue posting Gamestop price drops in this thread or if anyone wants to take over just let me know. Thanks!

I'm not sure if this was a universal price drop and someone might want to confirm it but I was able to pick up the entire Orange Box for 10 bucks at a Gamestop in Flemington NJ. Super deal if it can be confirmed at other locations.

Damn, nice drop for Luxor, which brought the used one even a bit lower for an even better trade to BBV. Too bad I already cleaned out my area of them over the past month or so.

I think Frontlines will be worth picking up used w/coupon and EDGE now, since it'll be something around $16 or so.

Aye, an even better incentive to pick up Mass Effect if some folks haven't already.
$24.99 used with 20% coupon/EDGE and it's an absolute steal.

Also, the Mass Effect faceplate with console skin is $5.99.
 
MX vs ATV for the Wii is still at 35 used, or at least that's what it's showing on the site. I love when GS has their used games priced higher than new.

Yeah, I played it on PS2. Its one of the most fun games I've ever played, and it was really good for its time. Its well known that the ending part of the story was a little weak, but its a total blast to play. The only problem is you have a lot of action sequences, which are fun as hell, but you can't view them after you've beaten them, to see how bad you just whooped that guys ass, or evaded the police. I just checked gamestop's website, and they don't appear to have it online, so I guess I can't order it online. And since my local stores have gotten rid of their PC games, I think I'm outta luck :(

I have it for PS2. Great game, very memorable, just a little upsetting that they had to rush the game and make do with that ending.

The Mass Effect LE has actually been $40 for a while now. I remember picking up a copy a few days before Civilization Revolutions came out. Good luck finding a copy though!

Man, that's a great price on Baroque. I'd totally get it if I didn't already have it. Alot of the Atlus DS titles are a steal at $19.99 as well.
