Red Dead Redemption- Out Now
ya I still need the 3 FFA wins also - there is a good method posted on 360Achievments.org:

I swear the 10 assists thing is glitched lol - I have got 9 assists over 15 times and never broke the 10 barrier.
I got the 10 assists in the gang hideout where you go into the mine. A friend helped me, i would shoot them first, and then he would finish them off.

How do you posse up? I played a bit of free roam with my brother-in-law last night. Is there a CAG posse yet?

With the assists, do you have to get all 10 in one session? I suppose you do, because it wouldn't make sense to keep a running tally over several sessions.

I had the best glitch last night! Some horses were replaced with people and the others were with buffalo. I loved my buffalo horse but alas when I turned off the game he was gone. The next best one was all birds were turned into wagons. That was sweet.

1. Press Back, go to the list of players, go to persons name, "Propose New Posse" or "Invite to Posse".

2. 10 in one session.

In co-op on the river last night I somehow got permanently stuck on fire, even after I was revived. So I just kept dying and getting revived over and over again - couldn't shoot, couldn't do much of anything but scream. Eventually I just jumped in the water so my posse would stop reviving me.

So your posse is active for just when you're playing a session, right? The members don't stay in your posse forever like your clan in MW2?
So your posse is active for just when you're playing a session, right? The members don't stay in your posse forever like your clan in MW2?
Yeah, a posse is temporary for that one play session and not like a clan in MW2.

I havent had as many glitches, if at all. A few a guy was buried waste deep in the middle of the road. Shot him once, got out, and started running away. Also during co-op some guy was suspended frozen in mid air. Did gta4 have as many glitches? For a great game, you would think these problems wouldve been caught and fixed prior to release or maybe a patch later on. I will admit after completing the main storyline and co-op missions but ive lost some interest in the game
We should just create a CAG Red Dead gamertag, and join that person in online matches. I'd be down for a weekly match.
Already done, add CAG Posse, if you haven't already.
I also need that Posse Up achievement.
me too

we should all probably get together sometime this weekend and knockout some multiplayer cheesements

I just beat this yesterday. Awesome game, I loved/hated the twists. I kinda had a feeling it was going to end the way it did and it made me sad.

Yeah.
I had a very deep feeling of dread throughout the final, I dunno, 15% of the story missions. Once the final mission with John began, I was pretty sure he was doomed. The return as his son was a pleasant surprise.

So in single player I went to tall trees cabin at tanner's ranch and killed all the cougars in that area. What area can i find other cougars in order to unlock khan the jaguar?

One issue I have, why is mexico lacking variety of animals compared to the U.S. side?

Khan is part of the last level of hunting challenges.

The areas of Mexico in the game are all arid while the US in the game is more of a variety of areas and hence more animals.

Am I the only one who hates the pricing on all of the new DLC? Would it really kill Rockstar to package it all together for 30 bucks?

I finally tried Outlaws to the End lastnight. Loved it. Besides the jackass 12 year old, and the prissy teamkilling asswipe.

Anyone wanna posse up? Add me!

Gosh, 100% is tough.
I still need all of the challenges, minus the flower one, which sucked, the outfits, the rare weapons, and the bounties.
About the bounties, what exactly do you need to complete to reach 100%? I read this about it, but it confused me greatly.
For those confused with this part, to 100% the game you need to complete a bounty (dosn't matter who, or if its a no name "????" bounty) at all of the following locations. So when you complete, say "john doe" at Hanging Rock, you have 1/20 bounty locations completed. Killing, capturing, does not matter, as long as you get your reward from the sheriff (in other words complete the bounty). There are 20 locations across the world, all listed below, just complete a bounty at each of them.
Anyone care to dumb that down a bit?

Oh shit son, I didn't realize you were playing this. My usual gamer buddy has dropped out of RDR-fever so I've been waiting for someone else to pick up his slack...

Basically, each location that supplies bounties has a list of locations that you need to collect a bounty from.

Your bounty progress towards 100 percent is not tied to the actual criminals. It's tied to the locations that you pick them up from/kill them at. So don't worry about who's on the wanted poster, so much as where. Also, it doesn't matter whether you kill them or bring them in alive.

Here's a complete list of the locations. 8 in New Austin, 8 in Mexico and 4 in West Elizabeth. I found it pretty confusing at first as well.

Sure =P I enjoyed playing it 2 player as well. Been playing Advanced, very fun!

Even single handedly got our group to win Ammunition by sniping..ugh, what a crazy mission.

Met a bunch of cool people on there, too. I ran into one brat, though.. All he did was swear and tell us to leave because we were "low level" (I was level 17 at the time, similar to the other people in there), which was hilarious. TK'd me when the game started, then I got revived, and easily owned him. Then he left. I can't believe how bad some of these kids are, though. He was like...10?

Until I get my xbox live renewed, is anyone getting much replay value out of single player? Done with the main missions, i cant find anything worthwhile to do. Hunting gets boring after awhile and the side missions arent that interesting like catching thieves or shotting a gang.

So you just need to complete X amount of bounties in each "area?" Is there somewhere I can check my progress on this?

The only existing replay value is being evil as opposed to good (game gets much...less handicapped). Also, turn on Expert aiming (if you can handle it) and turn off the map. :)

Basically you have to retrieve a bounty from all 20 different locations. And yeah, use that social club link posted above.

Finally got the gang match 4 in a row achievement this morning. It was really just pure luck; there were only 6 or 7 people playing and every time the other team would lose a couple members mid-match making it much easier to wipe em out.

Now to find a good place to get a 10 kill streak in advanced coop - any suggestions?

So yea, I went on that site....and even though I beat the game, and even though under achievements it shows that I have unlocked items....

...under 100% to them, I haven't done shit! 0%. Nothing unlocked under hideouts and stuff.

While on my console, I'm at like 85% complete.

Hrm....

If you press start and go to the stats screen, its in one of those categories that pop up.

--edit--

start--> stats--> score, scroll all the way to the bottom to see how many bounties you have completed for each of the 3 locations

Great, thanks for all the info.

You have to associate your social club account in-game first if you haven't already (you'll get an outfit for doing that) and after that it randomly updates automatically. Sometimes for me it would go a few days without updating but for the most part was pretty close. I don't know what other voodoo might be required, but that's all I did.

I can't find ANY COUGARS AT ALL for the hunting challenge in which you have to kill them with your knife. Help?
EDIT: Got it done at Fort Mercer.

Bait + Sunrise (they love this time of day in SP apparently) + along the cliffs to the west of Gaptooth Ridge

Shoot them a couple times with a weak weapon, and you can also knife them from your horse.

IDK if this works in single player, but in MP there should be a cabin in the highlighted area, go inside and shoot, there should be a few cougars to come out and try to get you. If this works, when they get close to the door just start swinging a knife around.
You'll get raped by cougars over by Fort Mercer. You'll see at least 10 within 5 mins.
This

Also, if you go to Tall Trees, there sometimes is a random event where a person needs hides of animals and if your are lucky, the person might want a cougar hide. That's how I got that challenge done.

I bought all the rare weapons and my stats only say I have two.
There's five right? Mauser Pistol, LeMat Revolver, Evans Repeater, Semi-Auto Shotty, and Carcano Sniper.
EDIT: WOW I feel like an idiot. I just never saved after I bought three of them in Blackwater.

Yeah...odd.

You'll probably get credit for them, though.

So I've been at the coop missions..like a day, and a night now. Got gold on all of them, Advanced included. Got all of the coop achievements minus doing a mission without anyone dying. I've even done the challenges where you can't die or be incapacitated on each level... I still enjoy it, though. Especially Advanced.

God, I can't stand running into the little kids though. I ran into someone else with 'Rhett' in their GT, and they instantly posse'd me. Turns out it was an extremely bossy kid who kept yelling at me for "stealing his name" (lol). This comes from someone who doesn't play almost any of my 360 games online, though (only if I happen to meet some cool people in the one or two times I give it a go). I definitely know they exist and are a big problem, from everyone else' rants though.

Started over in SP, too, with Expert aiming instead (definitely more fun, but more annoying for the animals). If it didn't hamper you so much, I'd disable the minimap too. Boy is it much harder to play a criminal, though. I guess it's portrayed correctly. Half the time the damn shopkeepers run away in fear if I enter a store! Marston makes a better redemptive character than a criminal, too.

I feel the same way! I meet some really good people on there but the % is very low. There are to many people just wanting to cause trouble in free roam and team killing or like you said bossing you around like you never played it. I love when they all come after me when i join a public roam and i end up making everyone leave. Yes i played this game to much it was fun as hell for over a month of playing only that. I can not wait for the new dlc except the dumb zombie ripoff thing. When that hits this western world will no longer be legit looking to me. Then they got the explosive rifle coming out to.... What a shame i rather have a lasso to hogtie the brats on there and ride them off the cliffs. :)

I don't really have any problems in Free Roam. (if anyone even starts coming in my direction, I know about it, and I'm ready to grief them in return, if that was their intention.) Usually turns into mindless fun though.

DLC looks neat, but the price seems meh for the content. We'll see.

Another big problem I ran into... a mixture of bossy people, AND achievement whores, who want nothing less than perfect scoring by everyone, to get gold on each mission (or a specific mission). I even had one jackass who kept thinking that my score was his since mine was much, much higher, and he was a self-proclaimed 'pro'.

Lawls, you silly, silly people on the interwebs.

So I am just starting this game and I have to ask. If I am a complete dick to everyone I meet does that change the story much?

I don't think the ending or any of the missions change, but I know it makes the game harder, as some shopkeepers raise their prices or might not even sell to you at all, and some people are afraid of you.

Another thing, anyone got any tips for the kill 5 racoons, skunks, and fox challenge? I've been searching for about 45 minutes only to come up with one of each...
