Red Dead Redemption - Undead Nightmare out now!

Ugh, it's just stuck loading and it keeps trying to connect to different servers. Not sure if I should keep reloading the game or just let it try to connect. I really want to take advantage of this before they fix it. FML!

Great, the game freezes if you let it try to connect for too long. Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh. . .

fuck yeah! I got the glitch going for solomon's! This is hilarious and another guy is doing Twin Rocks at the same time so it's just spamming world chat lol. I still have to run in and kill one guy, but it's such fast exp I don't mind.

Well, I must be sick in the head but I got legend 4 and my zebra mount. Now I'll probably never play this game again and just wasted my time lol. Good times.

I wish I knew how much more I had to go in the game though the storyline is really pulling me in. Any time I play this game I find myself having to force myself to stop playing for the night.
 
Zebra donkey is the best mount in the game! The thing has no terrain negotiation penalties, so you can sprint across fields or up hills at full speed. The only drawback is it can't hurdle any obstacles, so it's easy to get trapped by fences. So worth the couple hours of grinding the other night.
 
I can't believe how much this game makes my slim go into high speed on the fan. When I took the game out this morning when I was done playing it was more than slightly warm. Weird.

But then again I think this game is pushing the PS3's limits due to the no loading while going cross country in such an open world, which is still quite a feat.
 
When is the CAG night on this? Sometimes I see you guys online playing but I never know if playing SP or MP.

Sunday is the night we're supposed to be playing multiplayer, but I guess with the NBA and other sports going into their finals and what not many just weren't playing.

Then again, whenever I've been online all I play is the Free Roam. BTW, has anyone actually killed a bunch of rattlesnakes as of yet? My buddy was doing the Pike's Basin gang hideout in single player the other night and literally behind EVERY rock there seemed to be another snake.

Yet on my playthroughs I NEVER find them.:roll:
 
I only discovered they had snakes in the game since my horse got bit by one pretty early on in the game. I was riding overland instead of sticking to the trails and all of a sudden I saw a white flash a few seconds after hearing the snake hiss and rattle.
 
Grrrrrrr. I just got what is considered a 'rare' glitch. I started doing the one mission for the anthropologist in Blackwater. So I get out to where Nastas is on his horse already, the anthropologist gets on his horse, so then it's my turn.

Except....there's no fuckin' prompt to hit triangle to get on the damned horse.:bomb:

Oh and does anyone else notice when they're done playing this game that their disc is awfully warm/almost hot to the touch? Mine has been so as of late, though it's also been warmer and humid around here as of late.

Probably still Solomon's, since the only places that give more than 400 take forever. I can't imagine grinding it now, though.
 
damn you all werent exaggerating about solomons folly being a good place to level up. i did the trick where you erase the update and play a lan game and ive been leveling up like a madman.

I thought maybe since it's been hot and humid around here the past couple of weeks that that was causing it. But now that I know someone else has been having the disc come out hot from their PS3 I'm a little bit at ease with that.

Although it does seem to happen mainly with the Rockstar games for me that the disc comes out pretty warm/hot.
 
Chaining up the combos in Solomon's Folly is a bit hectic. Plus the radar goes all glitchy on me after 6 or so replays. I prefer to level up leisurely in Pike's Basin heh. Everybody played the co-op missions? I suck ass on the advanced ones with expert targeting.

not yet i dled em but im prety mcuh focused on leveling up now that i can. so far the most ive gotten from solomons follys is 1600 for run of it but i usually avg 800 or 900 which is way more than ive gotten anywhere else.
 
I'm focusing on finishing the game first and foremost, but I'd definitely be down for a mp co-op session one of these nights. Tonight was/is supposed to be the CAG game night for RDR, but after the last few weeks of no one showing up I completely forgot about it until now.

Sunday nights, huh? I was playing earlier today. Still need a few trophies...Slow on the Draw, the 2 FFA trophies, the advanced co-ops and the 10 kill chain combo trophy. Too much tv watching on Sunday nights for me.
 
Yeah, I still need four online trophies for plat. Three are super easy; just need one other person and the last we'd need a few more for.

The only program I usually watch on Sundays is The Boondocks on Adult Swim.

Otherwise I'm down for playing some RDR online. Although I mainly only play the free roam.

I'm a fatass couch potato...Top Gear, Entourage, True Blood, Hung & Leverage. I watch them all. If there's a good sports game on, I watch that too. Luckily, Breaking Bad and Family Guy seasons are over, but Mad Men should around the corner. :D

Anybody got a cheap bluetooth headset they can recommend?
 
I want to try some of the coop missions. I tried twice but had terrible teamates who were terrible even with autoaim so i left both times. I can't beleive i'm still number 10 in grab the bag hardcore. Grab the bag is better than hold your own because the bag reappears instantly on hold your own after the bag is delivered making it way to easy when people don't know what they are doing on 1 team. If you are talking tv i suggest Limo Bob, I only saw 1 episode but it was funny.

Don't dis limo bob! Like i said i only saw one episode but it's better then most of the dogshit out there like hung. If you like hbo and have on demand check out eastbound and down, the wire, and true blood. Eastbound and down has a new season coming and is comedic gold.

HBO? That's soooooo 1980's. Besides which they still charge an arm and a fuckin' leg from Comcast around here for those 'premium' channels, even though most of them have 8-9 clone channels exactly like the original, which play just about the same movies but at different times.

So that way if you miss the latest shitbomb that Hollywood put out that they have on at 8pm it'll be on again on HBO 2, 3, 4, 5 and 20 at varying times up until doomsday.:roll:

Unless you give a damn about 'outfits' for your character, then you're not missing out on anything since Best Buy, Gamestop and I think Amazon had codes for various items as bonuses for buying the game new.

Even if you did have the code(s) for the outfits, you still have to go around in game and collect the scraps for them and do the missions/actions you need to do to complete them.

There IS a downloadable co-op mode right now on the store for FREE, which I thought was a nice gesture from Rockstar.

It's a hell of a game with a huge environment and alot of random encounters and little side missions you can choose to do or ignore.

It was good to finally play a little co-op this morning with ya, Sinistar. Now if only people will start showing up on the CAG RDR night(Sunday) so we can get a whole posse full of people playing.

Mind you, I kept getting 'connection issue' messages and being booted every minute or two earlier in the night. Hopefully it's something that won't happen too often, since the 'kicked glitch' in GTA always annoyed me.
 
It was sure glitchy for me today. Went into co-op missions with no enemies and loading screens that never stop loading and can hear players chatting.
 
Yeah Cheapest, was a fun game. Generally I do most of my multiplayer gaming on PC (Steam L4D2 mostly), mainly I'm not very good at the aiming stuff with the joystick, I'm much better with KBD & mouse.. but still fun to play anyways. :)

I might be online later tonight for some more RDR.
 
No CAG love for PS3 RDR? Thread's already buried. Got 100% for the game, but looking for more. Anybody know when more DLC is coming out?
 
SPOILER ALERT:

The end of this game ruined it for me. I bought it used from Gamestop and was planning on returning it but while playing it, i thought it'd be a great game for me to keep. But...I don't want to freaking play as Jack Marston! I spent the whole game with this awesome guy named John Marston and don't want to all of a sudden play as some guy with a pube beard. All because Rockstar needs some dumb "tug on your heartstrings" twist.

The game was great but fuck THAT.

I mainly play Free Roam when I get on and ever since either downloading the co-op DLC or the latest PS3 firmware garbage I've been getting 'disconnected' from the other players when I go to join a game or join a posse.

Either that or Rockstar's servers are still total shit when it comes to the online portion of their games, since even GTA IV still gives me the 'kicked glitch' garbage every so often.

Kicked glitch=you get the disconnected message, then try to rejoin the same game and it tells you you were kicked from the game by the other players even if you weren't.:roll:

ill play it again once i finish up gta elc freakin gay tony is the shit and the weapons!!!!! this is up there with san andreas so far so yeah everything else has to take a backseat till im done with it. fuck i still havent beat that mars game yet.

You mean Red Faction Guerrilla? That game was tons of fun. I found new and innovative ways to take out enemy buildings in that game.

Let's just say big dump truck + lotsa speed= easy building implosions.:lol:;) It's as easy as backing up and pulling forward if your vehicle is sturdy enough.

Try throwing the explosive charges in RF:G(that're similar to the sticky bombs in GTA BOGT)onto an enemy soldier that's near a group of other soldiers. Dead man walking.:evil:

In BOGT when you get sticky bombs, stick one on the hood of your car, then drive towards a group of enemies, bail out and then detonate the charge. The car blows up in a huge fireball taking out a bunch of enemies.

I used to play the original Mercenaries like this too, only it was C4 charges on the hood.;)
