You should see the thunderstorms. :shock: The weather effects in this game are just so well done. I just stood there in awe watching the clouds part after a rainstorm while I was atop a cliff and the sunshine coming down through the breaks in the clouds.

Of course, then I got mauled to death by a cougar and jumped.:lol:

Not sure if anyone needs it, but I picked up "Red Dead Rockstar" last night in multiplayer.

I wouldn't mind playing online sometime and sharing it if someone needs it, but some help for some of the other online trophies would be nice in return. ;)

I just go back from lake tahoe and now its time to figure out what the heck happened last time i played. I don't know if it was lag or a turbo controller but one dude killed me with a knife 3 times by just one swipe. I also got killed by dynamite before it exploded and it said the guy shot my head off so I'm assuming it was lag, which seems to be much worse when i play late at night.

New patch live:

• While in Multiplayer Free Roam, if a player achieves a kill streak of 6 or more without dying, they will become a Public Enemy and receive a $1000 bounty.
• While in Multiplayer Free Roam, if killed three times by any human player and each death is within 80 seconds of respawn, the victim is given the option to respawn away from the area.

This new title update also addresses the following issues:
• Players now have the ability to swap shoulder buttons L1/L2, R1/R2.
• Players now have the ability to save game with cheats turned on.
• When playing the game with Region set to Asia, incorrect button prompts were displayed.
• Downloadable Outfits were not appearing in Change Outfits Menu after being unlocked.
• Invincibility cheat was turned off when activating Dead Eye.
• Occasionally, the player would not recover from being drunk.
• It was possible to have two player horses, with one permanently following the player.
• If equipped with the bandana, sliding doors would temporarily attach to the player’s head.

Well there goes my MP fun; not that I care since I haven't touched the game in weeks. Also, some overpriced DLC coming next week.

I started playing Just Cause 2 again as of last night and personally the only thing that helps me out from the RDR update is the respawning away from other players if I'm killed 3 times in quick succession thing.

Then again, as soon as idiots started hunting me in public free roam I would switch to a private one, since I only went into free roam to hunt anyway.
 
Honestly, I dont really get the MP aspect of this game. It is....uhhh...how do I say.......shit?

The games are pretty unsurprised, the free roam is decent if your playing with friends through the hide outs but even after those are done it becomes nothing more than a hub.

Yeah. The game world is pretty lifeless in multiplayer free roam unless you try becoming 'most wanted'. Then you'll have other random players gunning for you for your bounty and a ton of lawmen coming after you in waves.

If they didn't make the DLC packs $10 each:bomb:, I would probably have bought the one that lets you play blackjack and liar's dice in mp. Although I don't understand why they couldn't just make the online mp game world exactly like the one in single player from the start.

That's how GTA's online game world is. You have a regular living world in mp. It would've been interesting if you could've robbed the train in mp in RDR as another side mission.

But hopefully they'll release some sort of big DLC pack like they did with 'Outlaws To The End' and make it a freebie for the fans and supporters of their games.

i agree the hyped the game up big and alot of people fell for it , msyelf included. mp is pretty much garbage theres no real benefit to any of it outside of acheiving those objective dealys and leveling up .

i love the sp game still working my way through that but once im done im trading it.theres not enough there to make me want to platinum it. gotta give them props those videos they put out before the game was released really painted vastly dff picture of the final product. still dont get why the lasso isnt part of mp.
 
I don't get why the lasso isn't part of mp either, since I'd love to use that to cause a little more havoc. Although I still find stuff to do whenever I pop onto free roam anymore.
 
i don't know, if you don't like the multiplayer you probably just suck or have no idea on how to play. I just got my first legendary character and they take way to much away from you and its 1 of the stupidest parts of the game. I just got both golden snipers, and the winchester repeater gold but now i missed out on the bolt action golden gun,volcanic golden gun, and the buffalo rifle golden gun because everything reset. I was really close with the volcanic and bolt action too! Now i know ive got a bunch more headshots with the buffalo rifle and it says i have none because of the stupid way they have the system set up where you have to achieve certain things before it starts keeping track of other guns stats.
Anyways i am friends with a lot of the top ranked players so i could give you some tips if you stink. Those new maps are looking epic so im not sure why nobody here cares about them.

lmao dude seriously ? as far as sucking goes no. i played it and dominated alot of matches but what i dont like is the lock on system. you have to use it because if you dont chaces are everyone else will and its annoying that you can be killed easily at ridiculous distances because of it.

on top of that some areas have these weird spots you cant climb up even though you could be able to so youre stuck walking all the way around that area to get somewhere where you can go up and after someone.

climbing things takes too long and on top of that the cover system in the game im is broken for sp and mp. theres been numerous times ive went to cover behind something and ended up on the wrong side of the object and was killed or theres been times where i wont even get beind the object and ill just be standing there getting shot.

and as far as not knowing how to play whats there to know?you compare mp in rdr to mp in other games like gta or uncharted 2 and quite frankly its shit.

and now to pull a cheapest....i also think its shitty that they are selling people the ability to play poker with each other in mp. all the games of chance available in sp should be in mp for free. its also dumb you can get exp in mp by killing the npcs but not from finding herbs or hunting animals.

the sp in rdr is great mp is broken and only fun for a little while.
 
For those interested in the RDR Deadly Assassin DLC, GameStop has more of them and the code automatically prints on your receipt. If you ONLY want the code, ask for a gift receipt for a later return. I just got my code and returned the game to the GS across the street without a problem. These codes may be limited, so I'd go ASAP.

I just got my outfit and wouldn't you know the hardest part of getting it was finding someone to duel in Armadillo. Must've rescued about 20 damn whores before someone showed up. Damn random events. . .

This isnt gamefaqs kid and the majority of people here are adults, no one really gives a shit about your stats on RDR. But thanks for keeping the internet classic, "You dont like it because you suck at it," alive. Comments like that make it easy to figure out the 15 year olds of the group or that guy who takes games way to seriously and tries to berate/impress everyone by talking about his MLG clan like anyone gives a shit.

:rofl: I play to have fun, which is why I still prefer the private games on free roam, since there's too many 12 year olds with mics who tend to like shooting you when you're off doing nothing to them at all.:cry:

damn lucky break for anyone who doesnt have it i wish bb would give away or sell warhorse codes. i really want that warhorse.
 
If someone had a deck of the RDR cards that was completely sealed I'd gladly mail them my Deadly Assassin's portion of the GS DLC voucher I got with my copy of RDR.

I just used the soundtrack part of it last week finally, but the DA outfit should still be good.

Ever since people wanted me banned for destroying them in GTA everytime i go here shit just gets gayer and gayer.
I don't even know why i bother because you do suck and nothing can be done about it.

Lock on system? I dont even play single player with autoaim cause i like to have fun.
 
The MP is pretty carebear now and they changed something about how players show up on the map in free roam, because I've been picked off by players I didn't even know were there now. Makes it a campers delight with zero skill in it. That and if you are owning someone, they can just respawn across the map.

Game is dead to me.
 
I was expecting much more out of the multiplayer. Free Roam public just sucks because of the gang of kids who hunt you down just to f with you.
 
Does anyone still play multiplayer? I just finished singleplayer at 100% last night, and am interested in completing some of the multiplayer achievements. Some of them may be difficult to obtain without some help.
 
Yeah, I asked about boosting and nobody seemed interested. Pisses me off that four MP trophies are all that's standing between me and the plat. Take a hint devs: players hate this shit.

yeah i not a fan of mp trophies either especially when they add them for modes you dont play. ive been doing what i can to beat this game so i can hurry and finish red faction. finally figured out how to pull off cheating at poker so i could get a piece of the army uniform once i finish that costume ill have 2 more left to get.
 
Which ones are you missing? I currently only have the "Red Dead Rockstar" and "complete all hideout" trophies.

But I'm definitely interested. I figure some of them may take some time to achieve, but a few others are all but possible without some help.

I need Posse Up!, Slow on the Draw (this is tougher than you'd think since you actually have to get the RIGHT kind of assist), The Quick and Everyone Else, and Go Team! Two of them can be done with just two players, but the others require up to eight players coordinating. Everything else I soloed. Probably the hardest trophy in the game is just finding eight random people to stay in a fucking posse with you.

Three of those are doable with at least two players, no? I'd be glad to try and attempt them with you sometime.

One of them is iffy, because people joining the game can mess it up if they're not down with win-trading. But yeah, we can try tonight if you like.
 
I find it crap that I cannot join/invite friends to games because of stupid connection issues. So yeah, getting all of us into the same game to posse up (8 people) would be hard. And randoms rarely want to posse up.

I will try to be on around 7pm Pacific Time if anyone wants to invite me when they see me on, and get that 8 man posse, and I would also be interested in doing any kill farming/trading for trophies in pvp, and advanced coop missions.

Actually, it's not that I hate 'hard' trophies, it's that I find the trophies laughable at best all around.

But if someone feels they need a trophy to 'complete' the game and they see me on and wanna try for one of the mp ones, then hit me up and if my connection stays stable enough for long enough I'll help ya.

Personally, I've just been having fun roaming around the game world finding stuff I might've missed in my playthrough and trying to denote the location of some stuff that I can go back and grab in single player.
 
We actually just finished up for the night. Both Jodou and I got "Slow on the Draw" but were having some difficulty, or rather confusion on "The Quick and Everyone Else..." I think the plan is to play again Thursday?

The 8 man posse is going to be a little difficult to get unless we have a lot of coordination.
 
This is why I almost never join coordinated games and stick to free roam 90% of the time. It's so much easier to just drop in/out at your own discretion without relying on 'teammates'.

I just drowned somehow on a raft that I was on with Kaiser and a random player, so I was stuck watching the remaining member of the team shooting at enemies after Kaiser left mid session.
