Red Dead Redemption - Undead Nightmare out now!

My connection IS a NAT 2 though, but it's just that I have 768kbps DSL, so my connection at times is on the verge of collapse due to trying to surf CAG in between shooting random players who shoot at me when coming into a free roam game I'm in.

Blue and I wrapped up the ones that required at least two people to do, so all I have left is Posse Up! I might just try hopping games and inviting everyone I see to get it unless we can find enough people here who also need it.

As I've said before, I really don't give a flying fuck about trophies, but if anyone from on this thread sees me on RDR and is on my friends list send me a message if you wanna try for one of them.

I'm fully capped on exp, so I'm just looking to finish up trophies but I don't mind helping anyone with a trophy. I've kind of burned out on the game otherwise.

Yeah, jodou and I were able to wrap up most everything except "posse up". Any interested CAGs should speak up so that we may be able to all play together one night and hopefully have enough for that one.
I've kind of burned out on the game otherwise.
Me too. I figured I would be playing the free roam on this constantly, but very few people I know and have played games with have the game or still play it.

So rather than getting shot apart by random players every other minute in a public free roam or getting bored with nothing to do in a private match I've been going back to GTA.

But if anyone needs the Kill A Rockstar one(or whatever it's called), I have that one now from killing a friend who got it.

Fyi:
Starting on tuesday, august 24th – we will be swiftly and indefinitely banishing from the world of red dead redemption multiplayer all gamertags and psn ids we’ve detected with hacked game saves. Such cheating is a clear violation of our code of conduct, and punishable at our sole discretion.

If you are one of these people, we are giving you this last chance for redemption to restore your honor: You have one week from today to delete your hacked game save to be spared the hammer’s swift justice on the 24th.

* this will not apply to those people who simply took advantage of temporarily exploits to rapidly grind up xp a few weeks ago. We are able to tell who actually hacked their save to have impossible scores.

* banned hackers will also be removed from the leaderboards.

* to be spared, any hacked saves that you have will need to be deleted – single player as well as multiplayer. You should be aware that everything is wiped when deleting saves. These are the only exceptions:

- players would keep any achievements/trophies they had already earned.
- all preorder items tied to their accounts would be unlocked for them upon signing in and creating a new save while connected to xbox live or playstation network
- any cheats earned through social club would be unlocked for them upon signing in and creating a new save while connected to xbox live or playstation network

* after deleting your hacked game save(s), you will then need to go online with red dead redemption (prior to august 24th) for it to register that you're now playing clean. For single-player saves, you will need to re-play the game while connected until you gain access to the safehouse at macfarlane's ranch. For multiplayer saves, you will need to play one full game online or do one gang hideout.

wow, nice to see they are cracking down on cheaters.
I'm just glad to be exempt from the 1-day hideout exp glitch. Good form to not punish us for their mistake. I love my zebra mount. ;)
dammit, my Horse got killed by a damn cougar!
That's nothing. I had like 3-4 horses killed up where cougars spawn often by Tall Trees while I was hiding out in the one cabin up there waiting for the legendary cougar to show up.

The legendary cougar got me and my one friend who was helping 'stir up' the cougars whenever they seemed to stop spawning by the cabin at least 1-3 times each.

If you do all of the journal challenges in the game the game has seemingly infinite playtime.

i don't think I'm going to do too many journal challenges. who knows I may complete a couple. I just want to go through the game and finish the story mode. I just made it to mexico.. love the way they handled your first time being in mexico with the music and action sequence.

Just finished up single player. Missing 0.6% of the game for 100% completion. Narrowed it down to 1 missing bounty and unlocking the US Marshalls outfit.

Missing the trophy for keeping the same mount for 20ish missions... need a second run through, read that the fastest run for that trophy is about 2.5 hours. Also need to finish up the liar's dice trophy, which is a pain.

Yeah, No Dice starts off extremely easy because you can make the AI fight amongst themselves. Once you get down to the last few dice, it can get tough to deduct exactly what they have depending on what they call out and what you can counter with.

That was how I got the Poker trophy for busting out everyone at the table. I stood up, drew my gun, everyone else got agitated and left save for ONE guy.

Then I walked away, came back and it was only him and I at the table. After about 5-6 hands he went broke and voila.

I got a 750 dollar HORSE!!!! I can shoot em.. skin and then use that certificate to whistle for his ass 5 minutes later.. and he don't remember a thang!

 One of the first videos someone posted on YouTube showing them playing RDR early showed them shooting their own horse in the back of the head as they were riding at full gallop.

However I do NOT suggest doing so when riding along the ridge line as the horse's own forward momentum may carry both of you over the side of the cliff as it takes its final breath after you shoot it.:D

I learned that the hard way though.

horseshoes was the hardest thing to pull off for. tok me a long time to get it right and even then i only won due to luck. poker was always easy for me until i had to play that one game to get a piece of clothing then i had to cheat. good game btw ending was ok.

The ending was pretty sad, but then again I don't think there were any westerns that had happy endings to them.

Possible spoilers:

Personally though, I'd like to know how John's wife Abigail passed only 2-3 years after he did. Was she so distraught over his death that she killed herself. I would probably pay for some DLC to find out what happened to her.

When people are chasing you... I love shooting the horse out from under them. This game has some very nice animations. I love how they throw in that western music to go along with what you're doing. Even thought its a little unrealistic how you got infinite horse, but for this game it works well because you really just want to get on with your business after playing around. However man... if you shoot your horse they dock you big time for the hero points (or whatever they call it).

OMG, don't even get me started on that POS random bullshit. When I finally got a ringer, I ended up getting a SECOND ringer immediately after. fuck that game.

Horseshoes is one event that makes me wish that I had motion controls for.

That's why I think I only did it in multiplayer, though I think I did it by accident a couple times in single player. I was using the auto aim to try and shoot at enemies around me and I had just whistled for my horse to try and get away from the action and it walked right into the path of my shotgun blast.#-o

i loved killing horses out from under people one of the best parts of the game for me. that and dragging people around with the lasso.

Wow, thanks to fucking M$ they had to combine the free content with paid. Wonder if PSN will get the DLC separated, because that's bullshit.

I wasn't even planning on getting this dlc and now i feel like i am being forced to buy it. Oh well, it looks pretty fun and you know everyone is going to want to have that explosive rifle for the zombies and rockstar knows it. Those dirtbags are going to make a lot of money and that last dlc was only 50 megabytes lol. It sucks that microsoft is burning some of you cheapasses that don't even own a xbox.

i'm looking forward to playing poker online

This game killed my 60gb system after about 30 minutes of playing.. now it's stuck in the system.

All I have to say is that when I get everything replaced... it better be worth it.

if you know of someone with an open console all you need to do is take your br drive out and put it in theirs and you can eject the game out that way. of course that requires you to open up your ps3 and void your warranty.

Meh. If the free Free Roam pack isn't a seperate pack on PSN then Rockstar can suck it cuz I'm not paying for content when I already paid $60 for this game.

Now if they added in the lasso among other items(the ability to hunt, skin, pick herbs and sell said skins and herbs in the towns)that I would consider are missing from RDR's free roam, then I might consider it.

Till then though these packs suck.
Lasso in MP will never happen. It's a technological feat they got it working in SP.
or they could have left it out so they can add it to some dlc later and charge for it. alot of people would pay to be able to use it in mp.

Me being one of them. Although ONLY if it had what I felt was enough other content. If they wanted to charge $10 for ONLY the lasso in mp, they could shove it.

No, in an interview they stated it was removed from MP because they just couldn't get it to working right.

when is the next game night to coordinate the multiplayer trophies? The only one I need in SP is the same horse for half the game. The remaining stuff is all multiplayer.

Which ones do you need? I ask because I'm still trying to figure out when I got the Posse Up trophy, since I don't recall forming a large enough posse to qualify for it, but yet I have it.
