This one shows 'in store only' for EVERY BB store by me. So either this is wrong or they still have them sitting in the back room at the stores someplace. The MK one showed in stock only at some really far off ones.[/QUOTE]

Probably same situation. In the RSS the priced might be marked a penny but when rung up it is probably still full price. I remember running into the opposite a couple times when asking employee's to look up pennied out guides for me in the past.

Patelking never rang it up. It only show up as 1 cent on the RSS

Interesting... I didn't know that it was even possible for the RSS to show one price and have it ring up another!

It's Best Buy's internal inventory/price lookup tool, and it shows inventory in real time. Best Buy reps would look up pricing and availability in RSS when you'd call in or be in-store to check pricing and availability for an item.
 
I have personally never seen an items in-store price not match with RSS, in almost three years of doing tons of price checks daily.

I also know that every store I've been to does actually send the guides out somewhere. I've loaded the totes on to trucks my self. I don't think every if any stores throw them away but maybe they do. I also don't know what happens to the guides when they get where they're going, maybe trashed maybe on the BB auction site.

When the whole gaming dedicated employee process was starting my managers, who knew about me and penny guides and didn't care, told me they were going to start cracking down as a company. I wouldn't go blaming any one person for them getting their heads out of their asses.

I found it very strange that it said $.01 in RSS and it still rings up full price. Both DAII CE and MK CE guides were listed for $.01 at multiple stores in CT, NY, and NJ. I guess they have wisened up for now.

Guide Vixen Strikes Again . Went to pick up the kids from school and thought Id hit up the local GS . Let the kids take a peek and see if anything caught their attention . Shes like oh yea ! Got something for you . ( Now just a lil something , superfriendly to all the staff I buy alot of games and always do the surveys 10's across the board ) She Whips out A BF3 LE and two new guides I havent seen listed

I went in looking for the BF3 guide, but no dice. I did score on a DAII LE and a Homefront LE so it wasn't a total loss.
