[quote name='Chika']They're pissed because they won't be able to arbitrarily drop coverage on the people who actually *need* it. Like my grandmother, who had breast cancer and the insurance company decided they didn't want to cover her any more because she was costing them money.
*We* can really stick it to them by utilizing the healthcare they're counting on us not using. Such as free preventative care, yearly physicals, eye exams, semiannual dental exams, routine blood work, etc

My grandma actually gets calls for her preventative care if she misses something. That kind of stuff is the one they want you to get since it costs them lost money if things end up going wrong.
I am not knocking what they passed, only knocking the fact that they took stuff off the table before the debate even began. Leaving companies that are trying to make a profit in charge of the public's health is not something I am completely comfortable with which was the reason for my objection. Part of the reason I am so sad that Feingold lost was that he was one of the few dedicated to the type of reform I wanted. If I lived in WI that would have been one of the few candidates I would have actually volunteered to help out. Feingold is one of the few honest guys out there and it really sucks he got done in.
