Resident Evil 5 - Out Now - 2/17: Lost in Nightmares DLC arriving on 2/18 for $4.99

I am so frustrated for 3 trophies right now.

1. teamwork trophy-me and my best friend only play the game together and it was me who had to remind him to say thank you after we gave each other stuff and yet he gets the trophy before me. I still don't have it and we are going through the game on veteran now.

2. the be the knife trophy- argh this is so frustrating. nuff said

3. the works-looks like this one will have to wait until we get on professional unless any CAgers out there wanna help me get it.

I am getting a platinum on this game. thats my word. lol

For this one, i equipped my grenade launcher and a ton of rounds, then gave Sheva one of my infinite ammo guns and a bunch of random stuff (so she couldn't pick up healing items). Then I went to 2-1, and stood in a corner and shot the wall. Everytime i "died" she would heal me, and I would thank her. I ran out of rounds before i got the trophy, so i ran out the door and set off all of the trip mines.

I got the teamwork trophy just playing through the game with the AI normally. I was about a little past halfway through the game when the message popped up on the screen :)

For The Works, just throw a flash grenade at a Big Man Majini, I think it works on normal and up for you to get the 3 hits needed.

1) Empty your inventories for both characters and put first aid sprays in each slot. Go to stage 1-2 (on Veteran), knife the transformer until you get down to orange health. The CPU should run over and heal you. Thank after each subsequent heal. Do this 8-9 times. Easily done.

2) Stage 2-1. The part after the truck comes after you, there should be a bunch of crossbow Majini. Kill off the ones with the melee weapons and then back up and get ready to knife those arrows. Make sure your CPU teammate doesn't have any weapons or he/she might kill them off. Load up on the sprays on your CPU partner though.

3) Same stage, 2-1. Youtube video:

I was thinking about doing something similar, maybe when sheva gets trapped on the cage at 6-1. lol
but then again,almost any boss fight would work, or 1-1 where you get attacked by the mob. im going to take my inf. magnum just in case

For the Works trophy, there's another easy place to do it at the beginning of 2-1 right after the first crossbow guy. The shipping containers make a little hallway with a single majini in it and for whatever reason the AI will always run past him to the other end of it and face you. At that point it's relatively easy to shoot him in the arm and start the combo.

For getting an S on every chapter you get a Wesker figurine.

All S ranks gets the Wesker figurine. The costumes are unlocked by the BSAA emblems. 25 for the S.T.A.R.S. costume, all 30 for the Tribal outfit.

@diddy310, Magus, & Bavgate thanks for the help about the trophies. got the teamwork and the crossbow one right on 3-3. took out the gunners and waited behind the walls and knifes an arrow. while I did it I got hit and sheva sprayed me and the trophy popped up also. :)

I will go for the works trophy when I start my professional run sometime later this week. and after that one the only other annoying trophy left to get will be the lead aspirin one.

anyone here get a platinum yet on this game?
 
Not sure, does it even let you get the Platinum now since the patched in DLC trophies count towards your percentage? I think the Professional difficulty/War Hero one is a platinum as well?
 
I got the plat a couple weeks ago. The DLC trophies won't prevent you from obtaining the platinum, and this goes for any game.

saw the game play...
It seems like the MGO in MGS4...but with less features and costing 5 bucks extra (well at least you don't have to sign up for Konami id).
I prolly buy it one day when I'm bored enough

but you have to pay for extra characters and expansions, so, they are similar in a way
 
is it me or did anyone else catch i when chris was called Leon in the game? its towars the end of the game i swear i heard either jill or sheva call him leon.

Hunk died? (when did this happen? i need to study my Resident Evil lore) Well, like in any work of fiction, fan favorite characters tend to die hard. Following characters all have came back from being supposedly dead in one fashion or another: Sherlocke Holmes, Gouken (aka Shen Long), Zero (Mega Man), Wesker (Resident Evil), Bison (didn't Akuma kill him in Street Fighter 2?), Ada (Resident Evil) and Goku (like over 9000 times [sorry for using overused meme or whatever you call it]). It seems Capcom has a good history of bringing back dead characters, so I'm crossing my fingers for Hunk and Wesker (did Tofu die? it be awesome if they pop him back from the freezer for dlc)
 
just gotta beat 6-2 and 6-3 now on veteran to get the trophy. and move onto professional mode.

jill is the most annoying boss ever. lol nuff said

That safari level was a huge pain, with 12 deaths that were unnecessary and a bit cheesy. And thank goodness for the item duplication trick -- I wouldn't farm and grind for all that money just for a platinum, it'd take several HOURS of mind-numbing pain.

And now, I'm currently Level 7 at 99% with 350 trophies exactly, of which 4 are platinum. So what will be the trophy to push me over to Level 8...?
 
do any of you guys mind helping me duplicate items. i only have 2 rotten eggs and no golden egss, i dont really mind the golden egg, i will eventually get one.

I've spent hours doing the beginning of 3-1 for money, and I've only upgraded about 3 weapons fully.

Also, it's not a good idea to take the Gatling gun if you're going for S-rankings.
 
Can someone please help me with the 2-3 boss on Professional? It's such bullshit. The prompts for QTE are hard to see since they decided to flash a red color first over them. Too bad both buttons are either orange or pink, so it's hard to see for me anyway. I wonder if game developers realize that most of the world still own SDTVs...

I'm sure it's easy for a lot of people which is embarrassing. lol
 
Just got the platinum tonight, not sure how many hours total into the game, but probably over 30. Exactly 1900 Majini killed. The 5-3 elevator was probably the worst part of the game, AI Sheva would not heal me in that room, at all, she had all first aid sprays and 1 gun. Ndesu was also a huge pain in the ass. I don't see how someone could get through it without having at least a shotgun with infinite ammo.

SuperPhillip, I died about 25 times against him on Professional, it does seem like at some points you won't be able to hit the QTE prompts, they just blink and disappear instantly sometimes. I finally got a good combination of him going after the rocks/electric poles, and the Majini not spawning every 10 seconds to beat him.

he killed me 11 times on veteran, and i died once while trying to escape from the trucks and motorcycles.
