Resident Evil 5 - Out Now - 2/17: Lost in Nightmares DLC arriving on 2/18 for $4.99

Yea, I would've wasted a lot of time trying to look for all of them.

Remember that in the chapter select it'll tell you how many BSAA emblems are in each section and how many you've collected.
Thanks guys, will farm 6-1 later on, hopefully it's not THAT hard :(. (I don't even remember what 6-1 is)
Hey Boston, you free tonight for some more Pro levels? Say 830 PM EST?

Thanks for the fun Phoenix.

I ended up doing Safari on Proffesional single player, and yeah the computer helps 10 fold when you're doing the motorcycle part, but once you do that damn boss monster the computer becomes dumb as shit haha. :(

Glad to hear that it's at least doable -- did you manage to finish it?

Yeah, but I had to get a person to join in to do the boss, otherwise it's extremely hard having to multimanage the dynamite throwers, the cross bow guys, and the boss at the same time, since the computer ignores those guys.

Looks like I'll need your help beating that level then. Woops!

Can anyone help me out? I need someone who has Professional Mode unlocked to play a level with me. I don't feel like playing through veteran to unlock Pro. I'd rather just kill two birds with one stone, since I've beaten the game a couple times already. We can do 1-1 or something and just do it real quick.

I'm in the same situation as the guy above.
If somebody with professional mode unlocked, can you invite me to play through a fast level so I unlock that mode?
Thanks!

Hey my buddy hooked me up and now I got Pro. I'll add you and we can do it tonight if you want. I don't have a mic right now though, it's dead. I'm charging my controller too but lemme know if you wanna do it.

Boston thanks for the help:D

I'm getting this game tomorrow and I had a couple of questions. First off is the only fun way to play the campaign online in co-op or is solo fun as well.

Are there any CAGs who want to play co-op this weekend sometime that wouldn't mind starting at the beginning?

i think single is ok, especially if you are a beginner, cause if you set sheva on attack, she will pretty much show you the way, or you can explore while she is killing enemies. the only draw back is the ammo.
As ive been advancing through the levels, i can tell co-op should be more fun than single player. but thats only if u know what you are doing and where you need to go.
i wouldnt mind helping, but i want to finish the game in single first.

i had to play solo first too. its how ive always played re games and even though this isnt your typical re game i felt it was a necessity. once i get some of my weapons fully powered up and beat it on veteran ill try out the online co-op.

Ok sure thanks. I'll add both of you guys, boston and black and see whoever is on.
Thank you guys so much!

I sent you a message on PSN. Not sure if you read it, because I'm currently downloading the Resistance 2 patch. Lemme know if you wanna do pro. We can do 1-1, which takes like 10-15 minutes.
thanks for the help guys, much appreciated =)
boston and black
No problem :D

Nice game phoenix, lol @ jill fight :(.

Also I got the jailbreaker for next time we play (not sure what time I get back from GameDays tommorow)

finally tried the online stuff its cool and all but aside from killing enemies together its kinda useless. i could see if you could do this with re 1 or 2 or even zero ( which would be a perfect game to do online co-op with ) but as is it really is just an extra option. i could have used help back in the day with the re 2 puzzles nd just staying alive. has anyone bought the other online modes? id be interested to hear what its like to play against someone.

Only 2-3 more levels left, and we're done with Pro!

I hated that Jill fight -- dying some 22 times in that level left a bitter taste in my mouth. So I guess my accidentally killing Jill during the jewel struggle did add to the counter. ;)

Playing with someone competent definitely removes the frustration associated of playing with the AI. BostonCollegeFan doesn't shoot me in the back too much. ;)

It probably would have been a more enjoyable experience if I had first experienced the game in coop, as opposed to knowing every nook-and-cranny as we started doing Pro.

And I don't think the DLC is out yet... Although I believe you can play Mercs cooperatively.

I picked up this game last night and plugged through chapter 3-1. I must say I'm very impressed. I LOVED RE4, and although I don't think this is up to snuff with that I am really enjoying it and find it hard to put down. I'd like to find some cags to play co-op with and build my weapons up when I'm done. Is there an active group of players in here that do co-op? Also is it possible to use my weapons and items even if I'm invited to join or just join a random game?

Anyways off to see if I can knock out another chapter before I need to pass out.

i just finished the game, and replayed the first chapter. im going to try out the mercenaries game. I have my magnum almost fully upgraded, and it so powerful, i cant put it down.
Maybe the guys with more experience would be able to help all of the noobs (me) go through expert levels once you are done.Especially with the later chapters. Thanks.

Haha, how did you guys do in the Ndesu fight? (2-3 boss)

Jill was a pain also when I played, but I actually had a lot easier time when I played with AI. I simply kept grabbing Jill, AI shoots the device, throws, but I don't attempt to pull it off. I repeat about 7-8 times then have Sheva grab Jill then I attempt to remove it.
I did it to avoid the QTE to avoid her counter because I mess up half the time >.>

Well Phoenix has unlimited rocket ammo so he was a little bitch, just like all the other ones

(It's sad when Infinite Ammo makes the bosses easier than the lickers ffs)

That's impossible, you have to fight him on a turret...
He's the Giant guy who throws boulders and swings at you while you're in the truck shooting at him with your machine gun.

That part was fken hard

You mean in expert? or on any difficulty?

Oh that boss fight, the first part is amazingly easy, possibly the easiest thing in the game regardless of difficulty if you do it on single player in proffesional. The first part in the sahara is probably easiest on pro. Sheeva/Chris will always blow up the trucks within seconds so you can focus on the motorcycles and ignore those. Once you get to the actual boss though with the AI playing, then that's when I say it's nigh impossible, as you have to multitask the boss, the dynamite guys, and the crossbow guy, as the AI only focuses on the boss.

I had to get someone from online to help with the boss part, but if you're playing on Pro then do the first half of that level single player, it's absurbdly easy.

The thing about the fight is that you can ignore the crossbow guys for a little bit but you absolutely cannot ignore the boss or the dynamite guy, as they will wipe you out in two hits.
You mean in expert? or on any difficulty?
Professional. It's a PITA on professional.

I've already got the Plat but that + Jill were the two fights I had a hard time with.

Yea the first part is simple no matter what difficulty, but I was referring to the Boss fight. It's actually easier with AI and you playing as Sheva, but I never did that, I went the whole run with Chris.

For anyone who hasn't done it yet, the barrels are invaluable. Save them for the right time.
I can't imagine doing the Jill fight in single player :O, me and Phoenix had enough trouble alone with that and it's bs.
Did you guys ever have trouble reviving each other even though you were right next to each other? Me and another guy emptied our inventory so it was easier to resuscitate instantly than waiting for them to pull out the first aid and spray.
Then it got weird because in the Jill fight the prompt to resuscitate never came up and they just died right next to me while I'm mashing the circle button to revive. So we decided to pull out the first aids again and manually heal right when my partner ended up in dying status, which ended up working out rather well.

how did any of you beat the final boss on veteran? ive tried to do it like i did before on normal (with the qte) but i dont think it will work this time.

nm got it to work finally. the other times i tried it my energy level may have ben just low enough to not survive. now its time to beat it on professional.after i get my weapons upgraded. whats the best way to get money out of this game?

Yea, that was complete crap. The first couple times Boston got counter-attacked by Jill, I'd be mashing the "Heal Partner" button, only it never came up. So we got smart like you did, by moving the healing items to quick inventory spots. So every time he'd start to yank her I'd switch to healing to be safe like you.

The first time I tried this, I accidentally gave Boston the First Aid spray instead of healing him. :whistle2:#

Boston also got wise that he could stun Jill, throw her, and then yank off the device without me shooting her which cut down on some risk.

@lokizz - I just kept unloading rockets on him and ended up killing him before I even fought the Boulder boss

Well now I know me and my partner were not alone in this now, but it took us quite a few deaths to figure out the work around ;)

The dude I was with got point blank with the rifle, shot it, then threw her. Funny thing was we were on a roll, we got her like 8 times, I stun her, then I get DC'd because my router reset. He messaged me a couple minutes later to tell me he passed it right after I got DC'd. The AI shot the device (with my magnum!!!), threw her, and he tore it off.

I found it aggravating and funny at the same time :error::bs:

Wholly crap -- I'd be pissed. That mission clocked in at 40 minutes, but I'm positive that doesn't include the time over the 22 deaths. :bomb: It would take a whole lotta incentive for me to even consider doing that level again.

If your router pulls that crap again, I suggest you :twoguns: and bust a cap!

It's a mixed blessing. You hate playing games w/ people who don't have mics, but you're spared listening to adolescent idiots if they were provided one.

I figure that, if you're serious enough to put down some cash for a mic, then you're probably gonna use it for good reason besides annoying other people.

i would say there a lot of them aren't even "adolescent idiots." I saw the appropriate description of "pre-teens."

so i hope you guys haven't forgotten about me. and im looking forward to rotten egg loans. im still trying to get internet for my ps3.

i gave that to sheva fully upgraded with infinite ammo and shes going pretty well with it. that grenade launcher is kinda lame cool for nostalgia sake but imo worthless.
