That's funny. I work at best buy and a kid just came in ranting about resident evil then had the nerve to tell me to wait while he made a topic about a deal before someone else did. I didn't even say there was a deal. Hold on he's coming to me again. Ugh
 
o 'well, it is just a few dollars difference anyway. I am not going to go crazy over a few dollars. but thanks for the heads up.
 
Not bad, hope theres better deals though. Way the Supervisor at my store made it sound was like a ton of stuff was going to be cleared out

Same opinion here. Played through the campaign once solo and then once with 4 player coop. I feel like I got my money's worth.

No idea, he couldnt really say much because there were a few other employees back there. He just kept throwing hints at me and told me to wait before I buy anything.

Well, it will be interesting to see if anything actually happens. I usually miss crazy sales and its always for some weird reason. During the best buy outlet clearance last year, i was in the hospital. Read about it all later. Nuts.

RE:ORC is a pretty fun game if you have a couple of friends to play with i got it last time it went on sale and i dont regret what i payed for it.I might buy another copy to give to a friend.

I thought it was pretty decent, but this was also my first RE game.. so I really have nothing to compare it to. I sold my copy a couple months ago after I beat it and because they are coming out with so much DLC.. there's bound to be a "Gold" edition, right?

The multiplayer was pretty fun to me too and I hardly care for MP in games. I haven't played it since the big patch recently, so I have no idea how many issues they actually fixed.
 
Last time they had this as DOTD, I bought one for 17.99. It was back-ordered and when it came in the mail, they were nice enough to send me two copies. :)
 
Here's hoping for some $10 and/or $20 game sales to go along with this deal so that we can get in on a few of these deals for in-store pick-up and stack the $10 promo with it....

i played through it last night and i enjoyed it. it was pretty fun romping around during re2/nemesis era.

I agree. The multiplayer is such a lag fest. Guys in my own party were showing as not moving in my game and could not take damage. The campagin was terrible. In 4 player co-op it takes over 1 hour just to damage the 'boss' to get past stage 1 of the fight. Then we died at the next stage. No check point. Second time we played, everyone lagged out right after we beat stage 1 again. What a waste.
 
Tempting but I think a coupon from a future Gamer mag will put this at 10 or even 5, still though 15 doesn't sound bad.

I got a feeling that with the recent clearance of Collectors editions, we might see Saints Row 3 CE and Soul Calibur 5 CE for $30 and under soon.

That describes the impression I got from the gameplay videos I've seen. There was a lack of ambiance that's characteristic in the mainstream games, where parts of the game where you went "exploring" would mesh seamlessly with some random zombie or two lashing out from the corner. And whenever you encountered hoards of zombies, you'd seldom have the luxury to mow them down with a machine gun.

What are you talking about? I don't recall any boss taking an hour to beat.

He's saying the lag made the game so unbearable, it took an hour to damage the boss.

To the people saying this game features enemies that are "bullet sponges", what are you talking about? Have you even played the game? Do you not know what this game features? Zombies. How do you kill a zombie? Shoot it in the head. I picked this game up when it was 17.99 a month back and can firmly say this game was worth that price.

I played this on the hardest difficulty(I think I remember there being a setting higher than this one, but you needed to pass the game once), and it took no more than two headshots to kill the zombies. Same goes for the soldiers. If you shoot enemies on the body, they do take way more shots, but that's believable. You have special forces with armor and bullet proof vests and zombies are made of decomposing flesh so the bullets go right through them. Or at least that how I think of it :D

I think the game is just a bit buggy. The hit boxes for cover and the enemies seem off. For example, I'd be aiming at a spec ops head that was standing behind a car. I would have a sniper rifle zoomed in on his head, but when i'd fire, my bullet would somehow hit the top of the car he was standing behind. My aim would clearly be above the top of the car too. As for the bullet sponge issue... sometimes the zombies wouldn't even react to my bullets when I shot them, as if my bullets just went right through them. There just wouldn't be a response animation like usual. Very weird, but frustrating bugs, especially if you like sniper rifles.

[/QUOTE]They restocked after the DOTD don't think they need a fire sale game has sold well just not well enought for RE.
 
i got this game day one. totally regretted it. played the single player. meh. went to play online, played two games and i was done. laggy and everything sponges. even though i payed $35, it's still way too much. shouldve waited :/
