Revolution Conspiracy Theroies... THE PLOT THICKENS

I have fun being skeptical to fanboys.. you guys find everything to be a clue.. i'm not being an ass.. i'm not denying something will happen.. the clues certainly suggest something WILL happen.. i'm just teasing morphiend because he's hyping it up bigger than Gates hyped up the 360..

OH MY GOD I JUST FOUND OUT WHAT IT IS! I just got an IM from someone that's at the E3 showfloor! Holy shit!

i'm watching nintendo on the insider feed at ign and so far nothing. the woman was expecting lots of revolution questions and there are but the guy asking questions is avoiding them....
It looks like the GC's menu screen.
You never see more than 2 sides of the cube in the GCN menu, though. In that picture, you see three.

It's pretty obvious it's just a Cube. Look at it. Circle logo on the top, controller ports on the left, vents on the right. Nothing to see here, move along.

It seems too be too cubic to be a Gamecube, which is shorter than it is wide or tall. But it's a crappy picture, and I can imagine that the dark swash on the left face is the controller ports.
That guy is really fat...i mean, really
Fat guy ---> round ---> revolution? Is that another clue ;)

I've given all hope at this point.

they're done with Perrin Kaplan on the ign livewire thingy. Nothing announced. She did seem evasive when the question of there being more to the revolution was asked. Hmmm.
i saw a spotted nigel in my backyard digging through my trashcans yesterday
The comic book industry must not be doing too well ;)

...Kapplins really is getting a massage...can today get any loopier?

EDIT...why the fuck did those questions even get through? "Will gba micro really play all GBA and Sp games?" first off STUPID QUESTION. Second, it should be more like "Will GBA Micro play GB and Game Boy Color games?"

ARGH!!!
:p

I would never go through a trashcan....you can find so much more in a dumpster
In all seriousness, I've always wanted to go through a junk yard. Just to see what other people throw out. I bet you can find some pretty cool stuff.

Wow. My heart has been beating so quickly as I rushed from link to link through this thread! All of this stuff is driving me crazy!

Here is my prediction... you heard it here first:

Nothing will come of this. Aries will come out and say that Nintendo backed off at the last second, and that we should wait for Spaceworld or some other show. The Revolution is what we've seen... the controller is whats truly Revolutionary about it. The thing is going to cost a lot less than a normal console and be very similar to the GCN in architechture... so developers dont have to come to grips with something completely new.

The. End. The speculation has been fun... but I've gotta get to work.

well I will say I think it got bigger than anyone expected.

If they had planned something mediocre I would have backed down from all the hype that had built up and showed nothing and acted like they were not a part of it.

what about that Reggie press confrence at noon?

45 minutes away...

Come to think of it, the only thing that suggested 10AM was the Nintendogs pic. That pic was taken at 10:10 am, but the date was still wrong.

I think we'll see something at noon PST.

3pm EST.

Dvd drive considered...would that "brain" thing be big enough to just go on-top of a cube?

My other question: wouldnt that head set have to be REALLY flexable or moveable so any sized person could play it?
Booooooo! Hiss!
;) I just gotta get this outta my mind so I can actually do something productive today. If something comes... something comes. If not... I'm content with what I've been shown at E3. The DS is going to be an AMAZING system.

Im gonna go with what you said, and im now going to go finish up working on stuff...but i guess i'll be back around 3 :)

Well, what's irreducible here? What do we know for sure?

% We definitely saw the word ON prominently displayed during this last press conference. I had never heard of NintendoOn until I saw what I will refer to as the brain video. Likewise, we find it curious that on.ign.com, nintendoon.com, etc., refer to ign.com, which (via GameSpy) has a major new partnership with Nintendo.

% Likewise, Reggie used the left brain/right brain metaphor in his E3 presentation, echoing a line from the brain video.

Those are two connections, and they're both tenuous. Everything else is more ethereal than even that.

Something else to keep in mind: We won't find out what's going on the second this supposed secret conference starts. It'll take some time for it to finish, and I'm sure Nintendo would have people turn off their laptops and cameras and whatknot, so they wouldn't be able to report while it's in-progress. It won't be until after it ends that we hear what happened.

The date was wrong? it said 5/19..

did anyone confirm the revolution On to say May 19th in the background if the volume was turned up?

They hype has died.... but that would be the best time to strike....

I am thinking its somehow all just luck that these things pointed to what they did....

*Edit I am typing way to fast. I will just apologize once....Thats it. Sorry for the constant tehs... etc.

I just thought of one last major thing, and it involves what I think may be one last grain of truth from Aries. See, already, it seems that some people are doubtful of anything happening, and that they are giving up already. But remember what Aries said: According to him, Nintendo is going to pull the prank of the century. The ultimate punk. A mind-bending trick of "The Game"-like proportions.

Perhaps everything we've heard, including some of the stuff Miyamoto mentioned in that interview lebowsky linked, is all part of some magnificent plot to throw us all off guard, and catch us then. A carefully orchestrated web of lies, all leading up to some sudden revelation that completely blows away everything we know.

Keeping in mind that something like that could be true, I won't count anything out. Anything could happen.

"As far as the Revolution is concerned, development is going really well. But at the same time, this is a trade show and we want to concentrate on our business for this year. So rather than rush out in a panic and try to get a bunch of information out to people, we want to give out some of the general concepts and we're going to save everything else for when we're all set. Next year, when it's the year of the Revolution, we'll bring out everything from under the wrapping paper."
This pretty much solidifies that Nintendo will not have any more Revo news at this E3:

http://cube.ign.com/articles/617/617000p1.html
Yeah that is what I was thinking after reading that.

I'm pretty happy with the news so far anyway. We know we will have old school games and most likely some sort of a typical controller to play those games which I know was a big concern for some. It leaves room to have new normal games as well as whatever the revolution is.

The price will be right.

Nintendo doesn't want any copycats out of the gate so they have to hold back for a little bit. They are putting a lot of faith into this so I'm thinking it has to be something even halfway decent or different for them to take this path. Now comes the hard part.....waiting to see what it is.
