Rewarding Achievements - Confirmed!

Yes! got my 1500 points in two days, and a free copy of Fusion Frenzy 2 coming in the mail in 8-12 weeks.

You can tell by people's live sig cards who is trying to go for the rewards. Good luck to all the level 3 gamers as its the only level thats worth your time IMO.
 
This is bizarre.

A friend and myself rented Madden 06 tonight for the easy achievements. He scores a touchdown and goes for two. He gets them. Then, he chooses to onside kick. What's crazy is his team was kicking from the goal line into the end zone! So, he puts no power into the kick, it touches the other team, and he pounces on the ball, scoring himself another touchdown!

Craziest thing I've ever seen. Anybody else ever seen this glitch before?
 
So Xbox support is completely useless in letting me know whether or not the address is in fact confirmed. I get the strange feeling that lots of us will get shafted 'cause the website fucked up with the "Confirm" address button for the Level 3 rewards. So instead of it being first come, first serve on the big prizes, it'll be "first come, first serve after we actually fix the website".
 
I finally completed the challenge with 2 days of playing. Got it done by playing Kameo and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and a few XBL Games.
 
I'm at around the halfway point. Been playing Fight Night 3, Marvel: UA, and NBA 2K7 for points. Beating LEGO Star Wars 2 and starting Crackdown are next on the docket. I really don't want to go back to King Kong or Bionicle, as I'm in no hurry to play them further.
 
221 points to go. I'm sure I can pick them up on the games I have. (Though I still could sim the 30 years in Madden.)

It better not. As right now even though that confirm button is screwed up it says I have won 5 rewards. I will not be leaving with less then 5 rewards. I mean MS can't be Indian Givers can they? :)

As I mentioned earlier, thats my main concern. Or that we'll receive emails that state there was a glitch and the two physical prizes (read: The ones' worth anything) will be done by a raffle.
 
I hope this doesn't turn into the Diamond card where they take so long to process anything and in the end, nothing good really comes out of it.
 
NBA2k7 and Fuzion Frenzy 2 on its way from Gamefly. Those two games should land me my 1500... hopefully. If not, there is always Cars or Open Season :p

I emailed MS about their point tally not matching mine, and all I really got was a bunch of responses that were equivalent to a "Who's on first?" routine. :roll:

I ended up getting enough points (even by their math) and am having the same issue with the 'confirm' button. They do have my address on file, but I emailed MS anyway. I wonder what response I'll get this time!
 
well i got my points yesterday went on the site and confirmed everything. they already had my address and such prolly cus it was required when i got the gamertag about 3 yrs ago.


free fuzion frenzy 2 is always a good thing.
 
Yes! Ended up finishing up all 1500 points today (from Cabela's African Safari and Civil War). Looks like I'll be getting myself a Fushion Frenzy 2 as well. Thanks to all who posted valuable info and links throughout this whole mess

Maybe, when I got my copy last night they had about half of their stock. However, since everyone is home tomorrow it sorta lowers your chances.

Wow. Fuzion Frenzy 2 still available? Kinda amazing considering how long the content has run. I'm just hoping I can get a copy of Contra by the first week of March, but I'm not counting on it. I was gonna purchase King Kong off eBay/Amazon and get some quick points, but realized the game is only six hours to beat with no replay value, so not worth it just to score Contra or a game that has gotten insanely low reviews.

Congrats to those that have won so far.
 
As I stated earlier in a post, I emailed MS about the 'confirm' button acting up. Now, I know all companies give cookie-cutter, cut-and-paste responses, but at least humor me and don't make it so obvious! :cool:

Yeah, I'm saving the very easy stuff for a challange with a decent game where people won't have so much trouble signing in and the prizes will go fast.

This challange I used NFS: Most Wanted, PSU and Blazing Angels for my 1500.
 
I really hope the next challenge is based on number of achievements earned rather than points. It would circumvent the problem of 5 achievements = 1000 points.

I got 400 points in 1 achievement for simming 30 years of Madden 06, I got > 400 points in a bunch of achievements for simming 30 years of Madden 07.
 
Its funny last night I started to think I am never going to get the 1500pnts needed. Then I thought well maybe there are some easy games to rent and beat for the pnts. I was hit by just how stupid it would be to pay more for renting enough games to get you the pnts then it would cost to purchas the prize (in my case).

I am going to get like Contra (I will never play it I am sure). I guess the only rational for renting them and playing them for the pnts would be that playing them would be fun too and that moving myself up in rankings might later mean a chance at some better prizes if they keep this going. Either way I have very few pnts so far after renting COD3 and not finnishing it on the first rental.
 
I have just about hit the wall. The first 1200 points were easy, but I'm struggling to get any more easy ones. I guess I'll have to rely on Crackdown.
 
Signed up last week, and have gotten 620 points. I have beaten Saints Row to get a good amount of those points. Now, I have Fight Night Round 3 though, so I should be able to get the last points soon. I also have to finish Prey anyway.
 
I really don't want to pick up the 201 that I need.

I should be able to pick them up in The Outfit though.
 
question, i registered online today for the challenge... however, last night I got 310 points by playing ncaa football 2007. Does that count towards the 1500 i need?

When you confirm your address and go back to the rewards page, is it still suppose to have the confirm link?

I clicked "Return to XBox Rewards" and I was logged on. FINAL-fuckING-LY.

So for you and to those that had trouble registering, try registering again. When you get back to the Rewards site, you should be logged in. If you're unsure if your registration went through, you should be able to search for your gamer tag at the top of the site.

I just finished the challenge. Looks like the availability on Fuzion Frenzy 2 and the shirt are currently 30%, or so.
 
Better rent some games for myself this weekend! Anyone have some recommendations for 2 games (I have Hollywood Video rent 1 game get 1 free) in which I can easily net 1,000 pts? Don't be a hater and recommend some hard achievement games. HA! That would be funny. Lost Planet and Dead Rising have easy achievements?

I'm going with King Kong and Gun, because I already bought them cheap before this contest was announced so I don't feel like too much of a whore. That said, everyone says old sports games are the easiest by far.
 
I still need 150 points. I hoping I can finish Lost Planet tonight to get the rest of the points I need.

Its been a little harder for me to achieve this because I got all the easy points a long time ago for all the old sports titles.

Cars and Open Season are two easy ones. I picked up 880 off of Open Season in about 3 hours (I gave up on the stupid snowball stage). Cars achievements can be a bit slow in the beginning. (The Smasherville Motor Speedway, the three GP races, and LA International Speedway can all be earned in an under an hour, but the events aren't till the end of the game).
 
Madden 2006 is an easy 600 and then the simming for 30 years is for the other 400 points.

NBA 2k6 is another mad easy game. You should be able to get every achievement if you just make all the each quarter like 10 minutes long.

Belive it or not I finally got in. It was pretty painless this time. Good lord I can't imagine what was wrong with my account for it to never work. Maybe I'll complete the challage and get contra free now.
