I was up for the HD DVD press conference, so I figured I may as well stay up....they're up now, downloading.

I found it under New Arrivals > Game Content > Rock Band

Man, El Scorcho is probably easiest song on expert by far on guitar. 5 Gold Starred it, but it's as catchy as I imagined when playing through it.

Yeah, I'm not very good but even I blew through it on hard.

Sex Type Thing is the same way on vocals. Easy as hell but fun.

I gotta say, El Scorcho is damn fun to sing though. I was basically having a hard time singing it because I was grinning whole way through, so definetly great choice for vocals. Though singing through I couldn't help, but think they should've put this on Valentine's week instead since I think would've been alot better fit.

I'll try the other two songs when I get off work today though. Also is it wrong that I now have 51 downloaded songs in Rock Band? I just kinda went on a binge one day because me and my friend wanted more songs so I went ape shit insane and bought nearly everything (though it kills me when playing online and people rarely (if even) download anything).

Not really. I bought a 4000 points card about 2 weeks ago because it's clear Harmonix/EA is in this for the long haul. I look forward to Rock Band releases now way more than XBLA releases, especially when we don't know what's coming ahead of time.

Plus, the more songs you have downloaded, the more random your mystery setlist becomes in Band World Tour...and thank god, because although I love "...And Justice for All" I don't want to constantly play it.
 
Only tried the guitar. Man oh man is that song easy. I seriously think they could have 2 of the easiest songs. Lucky for them Buddy Holly has a little more difficulty. All good songs, I just wish it was a little more challenging.

The best song this week is Why Do You Love Me? IMO.
 
It's to the point where i'm more excited for Tuesdays than any other day, even the new release games on Wednesday.

Is there an option to just direct deposit my checks into their account? It's going to get to that point..

Okay, good to know I'm not alone in that matter.

Though it really does make random setlists in world tour mode alot more fun indeed with that many songs. Especially when start off with something easy, but can easily go to shit when something like My Sharona attacks an unexpected guitarist. Goddamn though, with all these weekly DLC I really kinda feel I can play this game alone for months until Rock Band 2 strikes. Which kinda scares me.

Yep I was half-assing it and FC'd the song. Sex Type Thing is pretty easy too. Its all good though. I haven't decided yay or nay on the other song yet.

I feel exactly the same. Like monday's are more insignificant and slow now because I'm so excited to get some new music. It's already bad enough now knowing some of the future releases (Zero?! Pinball Wizard?!?!?!), but when it's listed and dated it kinda sucks more because then I have something to look forward to on Tuesday even MORE so (goddamn NIN pack is basically making me salivate). Though maybe I just love this game a bit too damn much.

In other news I got the 100% bass groove achievement or whatever it's called. Talk about wicked easy - I should have gone for it a long time ago. I played "Maps" and got it on like the second or third try.
 
I moved up to Medium drums last night on my band, hot damn that is a workout. Went through two bottles of water as we went through to the Jet.

I did mine on Here It Goes Again, and only had to do it a second time because I accidentally downstrummed during the big finish.

Reminds me of when frogger first came out on XBL. Downloaded it and I was ranked #1 in the world for the first night, checked the next night and wasn't even top 100 anymore

Went through as much of the thread as I could take, but didn't find anyone talking about lag.

I just got my new tv and since then I've never been able to perfectly get the calibration right.. it always seems to be a bit off. I have a samsung LCD and my 360 is on component, audio is through the tv speakers.

I seem to have gotten it playable now, but I used to be able to 5 star most medium songs, now I can only get 3 stars. Yet I'm still consistently near perfecting easy.

Try using this guide to calibrate your setup.

Turn the Samsung's settings to Game Mode. Should fix the problem.

I'm such a sucker for these DLC songs, I'm with the rest of you that Tuesdays are my new favorite day of the week. I picked up all 3 new releases today and also My Sharona because I had 160 points left over; up to 39 now.

Done, and I've used Black Magics guide before. It's gotten to a point where it almost seems perfect, but at the same time it seems at some points I'll just consistently miss notes when they seem to be square on target. Im not sure, part of that could me going a little off beat in combination with the lag being just a little off.
