Lol thats true, I just really hate Rock Band because it feels like they dumbed it down. . Anyway, I removed the post because it was just asking for trouble.

Not everyone has hours and hours and hours to put in the practice time necessary to get good enough to finish Hard and Expert. I wouldn't want them to make the game any easier but I do appreciate a patch that will allow me to progress further in Band World Tour with my wife who only plays for about an hour a week.

Thanks. Did a quick search but I didn't find anything so I just figured it was worth derailing the thread over.

Back to the now, that update rocks. Makes me feel better about my purchase.
Raising the level cap is great, the one in place now is way too limiting. Music store looks awesome too. But it's obvious this is what it will take to have full albums, which is awesome. Bottom line, this update is full of awesome.

Has next week's DLC been announced?
 
The music store/update is up on PS3. The music store is particularly cool b/c now I can hear the "as made famous by" DLC and make my own decision as to how good (or bad) it sounds.

Brilliant.

Update not on 360 yet, although some initial reports from the PS3 version don't appear to be all positive.

Nothing for teh 360 yet...unless I have to do something special...We just let it update right?

A sock mod might work. It helped me. But if you're not on Expert it's mostly a matter of practice.

Of course you can hear the song before you play it, that isn't the point. The update lets you hear a song before you purchase it. That is an incredible step.

I heard Sublime - Santaria on the radio on my drive this morning and just thought of how great that would make for a Summer song pack. Its not the best song but the weathers been so nice lately that I want some hot weather/beach music. Weezer's Island in the Sun would be cool. Surprised that one didn't hit yet.

I know it wouldn't fit in but if Jammin' hit DLC I would go nuts. A whole reggae/stoner pack would be awesome :lol:

From what I saw a few people were having slower load times and a few problems with the scroll speeds not being what they should.

I downloaded the 360 update today, no visible problems. Haven't gone into BWT mode yet though.

Has any one figured out the new BWT fan caps bwt?

Lets hope next week's DLC is Nevermind.
 
Update is really sexy, though I'll really only use the store once a week. ;)

I really like the fact that it now caches your DLC, having 118 songs slows down that initial load quite a bit.

What would one have to do to get one rolling?
 
Create a silver XBOX Live account called CAG Rock Band Whores or something and then fill that up with CAGs that want to play with other CAGs on Rock Band. You can then use friend of a friend to see everyone else on the list.

I'll get a group started this afternoon/tonight, then. It'd probably be good to also include instrument skill levels so people can form CAGBands at their preferred levels.

Maybe we can have everyone include their purchased DLC tracks and just put them in spoiler tags next to their tag/skill.

I'm messing around with the new Store menu right now. Oh man, that thing is dangerous. I've bought three four new songs already just because I previewed them and remembered...oh yeah, I love that song! So it's both good and bad in my book, haha. :D

The store is pretty well done too. Funny going through and realizing that, yep, my roommate has downloaded all the songs. Scary.

wow!!! this is awesome for me... these are even the six songs i would have picked from Boston! Best DLC yet.

p.s. this makes me even happier i didn't blow my money on the shitty gh dlc! 4 instruments, cheaper price. now, if we could get the journey song, i'd be completely vindicated.
