Why shouldn't they add some country, as well as other genres?.
What was the name of the game again? Oh yea, ROCK band. ;)

but seriously, as long it doesn't interfere with normal rock releases, I don't care what genres they add. Personally I'd like to see some kids tunes so I can play the game with my 3 year old. She likes singing, but I need something she knows the lyrics to because she loses interest pretty quick.

Maximo Park, yay!

That Material song I've heard a live version of, and it sounds pretty alright too. Reminds me of another band but I can't put my finger on it, but yay female vocals. Probably grab that one too...

The Myriad isn't bad, either, at first listen...

Not entirely fussed with The Terribles but it's not awful so I may just pick up all 4 tracks.

Yeah I'm clueless about those bands, but at least they have the right idea with the bargain pricing.

I think labels are really starting to catch on to how much money there can be in music games. I'm still waiting to see a "deluxe" album include the whole thing in Rock Band format as a bonus!
I don't know what this is but it looks underwhelming yet again:
I just previewed all the songs and every single one of them do absolutely nothing for me. If I had to pick one to buy, it'd be the Maximo Park song. I'm just saving my points this week in hopes for better stuff next time.

I was really hoping to find a gem like Shockwave in these .99 cent songs
I feel old, but... Who the fuck are those bands?! Really? Anyone give me a hint or who or what the fuck they are?
Agreed.
Pass
Agreed.

I'm just in an agreeable mood today. ;)

I suppose these bands appeal to the younger crowd who may not yet own Rock Band. If that's the case, then it would probably be best to lower the price of the bundle, as most kids don't have a lot of money.
We're not getting Who's Next. Not masters, anyway. The first side was stolen at some point and nobody knows where it is. A The Who pack is possible, but not Who's Next.

(My interpretation of the gaffe goes- Harmonix asks for Who's Next. Label says "sure!". Gives the Won't Get Fooled Again master, goes to hunt for the rest. Can't find them. Can't re-record with half the band passed, and all of Harmonix's promises were already made based on that "sure!", so we have this situation.)
I had no idea half of the master was stolen. That sucks. :whistle2:(

I know no kids under 20 around here that download Rock Band songs unless it's "Still Alive." Too busy spending it on pot or rap songs about the largeness of the buttocks, I don't know. That or anime is always the other worthy candidate...

When are they going to release the metal pack with metallica, iron maiden, and black sabbath? I think its one of the only packs from the leaked list that hasn't been released yet.

Yeah, there are a lot of Japanophiles here as well. I heard and saw a lot of them at the school I worked at as well. It can be annoying - especially when they play dress-up outside of conventions. Save it for where I can't see it, please. Some of these fans just need to stop being fans because it comes off as mockery and caricature.

I went off on a tangent, but it's justified. :whistle2:#;)

Uh, now what is this topic about again? "Rock Band", ah yes. Velvet Revolver and Guns and Roses would make me happy in pants.

I am 17. The Who, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Faith No More, Beastie Boys, and a lot of other old music on Rock Band still kicks ass(Although I'm surprised we've seen no Led Zep... curious). You now know one.

EDIT: Unless you were being sarcastic.
(Although I'm surprised we've seen no Led Zep... curious).
Zeppelin don't license their music out so easily. If you watch the School of Rock special features there's footage of Jack Black and an entire audience begging to use Immigrant Song in the movie.

Sarcastic about every part, but the last part. Majority who seem to be into rhythm games around here seem heavy into anime and anything Square Enix. So kinda put in the back burner with DLC.
there already is a metallica pack and a black sabbath pack.
The leaked list had a metal pack which included: Fuel by metallica, wrath child by iron maiden, and dreadnought by black sabbath.

I was listening to the OXM Podcast earlier and they were discussing that very pack, musing that its unreleased-ness may have something to do with Metallica being exclusive to GH with GH: Metallica happening (not that any exclusivity has been officially announced)

I don't know these bands, but I'm open, especially at that price.

That leaked list was debunked long ago, yet it has been pretty accurate none the less.

I'm still waiting on that metal pack as well as more classic rock such as the rolling stones that was on there.

Debunked how? That list had stuff on it that no one could guess would be released, like lesser known bands.

Well, the specific release dates have been debunked at least, since they were all supposed to drop in March.

Still waiting for "Come As You Are" & "Behind Blue Eyes". At this point I gave up on ever seeing the "Nevermind" & "Who's Next" albums on RB.

I think I saw Pinball Wizard mentioned at some point as well, which would be awesome. I'm assuming they are saving some bigger stuff for GH:Aerosmith's release in a few weeks.

I'm the other way around. The more classic stuff they put up, the more songs I'll buy.
Get ready for a headache. By the time I finally got my replacement guitar I had 4 empty boxes.
Called today, and they claim to be express shipping out a new pair set of drum pads.

One note from the call: seems they will be sending emails to verify the 60 day warranty period with any return:

I did the drum RMA May 25th I believe and I didn't receive that message. Glad I did it when I did. Though today I got a shipped email and it was the same tracking number of the first box they sent me. Weird. I did it the regular route since I didn't want a charge sitting on my card in case there was some sort of screw up.

My wired guitar that came in the big bundle won't turn on. I plugged it into the front two USB's and even tried the one in the back of the 360 and through the USB hub as well. I plug it into any of them and it flashes a green ring once, very fast, and that's it.

I'd rather not read through the 235 pages (I tried to read through a few).

Am I fucked?

I'll be more than happy to share what DLC I have, but I'm not typing out 30+ songs. Any one have a text list of all the songs where we can just edit out the ones we don't have?

Since getting some of those points cards that have been on sale I have bought a few more recently. Some stuff from the Cars and probably some more Boston.

I want that those rumored song Wrath child, Fuel, and the rolling stones tracks. Not that excited about Doolittle, even though I have that album and like the pixies.

BTW yeah I noticed the Maximo park song is $2. We need more $1 songs.

I copied and pasted from Wikipedia.

I grabbed all four. I'm all for $1 songs and they're pretty good, and the Maximo Park song is fun to play.

Moving To Seattle is great on drums.
FYI, Harmonix fucked up in the press release and Maximo Park is $2 instead of $1.

:whistle2:? :whistle2:? :whistle2:?
i thought it was just that i misread it. i would have paid $1 for it...but, for $2 i can wait until they run another temporary price drop.
