Rock Band series - Rock Band 4 out now

People are finding the keyboard bundle (RB3 + Keyboard) for 26 dollars at K-Mart...if you never got the keyboard and are interested, that's about as good a deal as you're ever gonna find.

I bet the most requested song will be a Muse song. lol

Edit: I can't believe how cheap that keyboard bundle is. Was tempted to pick it up just to have an extra and one at my parent's house, but I bet it'll drop even more because the Menomonie, WI store has 6-7 of them.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the odds of that happening are slim and none. We know Page's stance on the masters and even if he did loosen the reigns, you can bet your ass Harmonix would be putting out all kinds of press about how they landed Zeppelin.
 
Have to agree with Corvin about "Stairway to Heaven." In essence, Jimmy Page and/or Robert Plant said that it would be a cold day in Hell before any Led Zeppelin song is in "Rock Band."

So if not that song, what could it be?

Wasn't it a long while ago when Page/Plant took that stance? My only hope is that they have softened their stance since options like pro-mode essentially teach you how to play the real song. Probably still a long shot though
 
For some reason I'm drawing a blank on what it could be. I know Pink Floyd and Zep (and Muse) are highly requested BANDS but I don't envision the first two agreeing to have a song released - especially at this point - and I can't see a single Muse song being the most requested.

I guess something from GNR or Metallica? Even those don't seem incredibly likely unless a breakthrough has been made with GNR's song rights or Metallica's assumedly former exclusivity.

Watch it be some novelty song. I would not be surprised if it really was the Astley thing. That seems most likely to me, it's something that everyone would agree on (or even request as a joke), unlike some Muse track or whatever.

It wasn't a stance on games vs. real guitar. He doesn't want anyone touching the master recordings.

I wonder if we'll ever see any of the PowerGig exclusives. (Clapton, Kid Rock & Dave Matthews)

Good question. I honestly wondered if they were ever going to go anywhere else with the Beach Boys. It's odd to have Good Vibrations on RB3 and then just never hear from them again. You'd think they would have that all planned out in advance since a lot of the DLC is a follow up to what's on the disc.

Layla would be freaking ridiculous in Rock Band though. I would demand that you be able to switch from guitar to keys at the big change though, haha. :)

Weird, I probably hate that song more than any other on the disc, although that is partially because it is a live track. Runner up would be that "alternate take" of I Feel Good.

Would love to have the original versions of both, but those are two of only maybe 5 or 6 songs songs I have "1-lightered" so they never pop up during random play.



Would love any pre-Spaghetti Incident GNR (a version of It's So Easy, even heavily censored, is one of my top 10 requests) but between it being Valentine's Day and my earlier stated reasons, have a growing bad feeling it's gonna be the Astley song. I'll probably still buy it but that would be pretty disappointing.

One way or another, we'll know in 12 hours.
 
To be fair though last year we got that Valentines Duet pack around this time and it easily has some of my favorite DLC songs on there. So hoping we get something like that again included with the one most requested DLC song. Though it being Valentines does give more weight to Rick Astley.

Most likely grabbing them all, mainly for vocals.

Though, quite shocked that the Rick Astley was 3+ years requested (i.e. prior to the keyboard), esp over GNR and/or Metallica old tracks.

That would've been much better had he screen recorded the opening of the game (the production company logos/animations) leading up to the main title, and then went to a rickroll video.
 
While I love Symphony of Destruction, À Tout le Monde just sold it for me (not that I'd dare skip more Megadeth). Granted, I can only pass a handful on Expert guitar... but still, sooooo good. And À Tout le fucking Monde!!!
 
A buddy of mine just saw the Gigantour here in Chicago. The lead singer from Lacuna Coil came out on stage and sang A Tout le Monde with Dave. Must have been awesome.
 
Megadeth. Eh, sold. Though to be honest I'm still surprised we still don't have "Gears of War" from them as some kinda exclusive 360 DLC.

Hard for me to get excited for any more Megadeth when we already have Rust in Peace. Symphony may be a late night random "let's see what's in the RB store that I haven't bought yet" purchase somewhere down the line.

Getting So Far...So Good...So What would or almost any other song off Youthanasia than A Tout Le Monde(especially Victory, Black Courtains, I Thought I knew It All or Reckoning Day) would get me excited. I'll get Symphony of Destruction, but the rest I don't care about.
 
I saw the same thing with Megadeth w/ Cristina from Lacuna Coil at the Detroit show. Was very cool. Does anyone know if the version of A Tout Le Monde in Rock Band is the original, with just Dave singing, or the re-recorded version they released a few years later, the duet version?
 
The preview video on the RB site just has Mustaine singing, but that's only a snippet of the song (the chorus I assume).

So if the chorus is a duet on the newer version, then it's not that version. If duet part is elsewhere in the song then I'm not sure.

Has RB4 been announced yet, or do they plan to keep on churning out dlc songs (I'd be okay with the latter)?
