Yeah, my Les Paul is like that...if I'm sitting with it "normal" it'll deploy randomly once I have enough overdrive saved...if I tilt it up a little while playing it won't go off, but I can't tilt it up MORE to get it to activate, I have to like dip it down and then pull it back up. It's annoying as hell. I'd like to get in there and try to fix it but since I'm using the RB2 guitar now I'm not in a hurry.
Like you, my Xplorer has been a rock. No problems with it to this day.
The X-plorer is best guitar peripheral across all consoles!
The way they're going with the guitars seems to be more about look and realism as opposed to functionality.
The RB guitars are just all in all garbage. The effects switch and solo buttons are all great additions, but when the buttons and strum bar feel like ass who cars about the bells and whistles they added?
I am really hoping that the GH:WT guitar is like the second coming as far as guitar controllers go. I think as long as the strummer gives me a, "click!" sound I'll be able to get used to whatever else they throw at me.
Then again, the buttons and neck on the Les Paul were a real deal breaker for me. The buttons just didn't give enough and neck was too thick. Not to mention dropping notes to due to the stupid detachable neck.
My X-plorer actually has some star power issues though. You have to tilt it the"right" way or it won't go off. Not abig deal for me as I have gotten used to it, but my friends tend to flip out and complain about it. It did cause me to fail Battery the other day as the star power failed to activate despite me throwing that bad boy up.
