Yes, it is quite enjoyable...
As for the Beatles thing, yeah, I figured it wasn't a RB2 expansion/DLC thing like the lazy early journalist types made it out to be (like that WSJ article - simply looking up the current product and assuming it was gonna be for that). We all knew better.
What worries me, and others I'm sure, is that they dumb it down thinking they need to do that to get the 50+ crowd who were around when the Beatles were to buy these games for the first time. There's plenty of second and third generation fans (me and my kids, respectively) that want it to be very much in the vein of Rock Band. They could add a keyboard instrument, though, to make better use of many Beatles songs. And otherwise, make it like GH:Aerosmith and just be a game featuring them. Then people like evanft can ignore it completely as it won't sully their download lists.
As for Metallica, yeah, still don't know anything of theirs besides the Sandman thing. Meh. And I've been around for a while

. They seem OK but to me they don't stand out from any number of other bands included in Rock Band - why people cream over them I have no idea. I'd prefer more REM or Nirvana (which I just got, thanks) to them myself. I remember that whole Napster thing and if it wasn't for that I'd know even less about them. What seemed odd to me at the time was why they were so upset about it - I couldn't imagine wanting to pirate their stuff

. But yes, I understand they have their rabid fanboys just like any other band/console.
But where's my Pink Floyd? Any blurbs on why they aren't on board with these games?
I dont believe Im going to convince you otherwise so Im not going to give you the "OMFG YOU HAVENT HEARD ALBUM XYZ?!" But they are the fathers of thrash metal, wrote some amazing songs, have some of the most heavy and iconic riffs, and some of the most memorable solo's in metal, without having to drop-tune or scream like a banshee. If youre interested in getting into some of their stuff pre-black and like some good thrash try Ride The Lightning or ...And Justice For All. In my opion RTL was their best album and AJFA was opne of the most progressive metal albums ever created and is IMO their second best album.
