Is anybody else getting sick of the same ole same ole? Every weekend its old stuff from the 60-80s. Its been awhile since we had any music that people younger then 70 should really know. Dont get me wrong I like classic rock, but come on some new stuff would be nice too. Even the newer stuff is just that newer not new, its still stuff thats from the early to mid 90s ;)

It has kind of sucked lately. I'm just holding out for the Pearl Jam stuff in March at this point. Not really complaining, I need my MS points for the upcoming Burnout Paradise content anyway.

Pearl Jam would be nice but still would like to see some My Chemical Romance, The Cab, Muse, 311, Tool, Perfect Circle, Marilyn Manson, Chevelle, Days of the New, Finger 11, Fuel, Hed PE, Lost Prophets, Meriweather, Rise Against, Taking Back Sunday or anything else a little more modern and thats not just big band classic stuff. It just really feels like everything is classic rock or heavy metal anymore. The few that arnt are a major name band from the 90s like PJ, FF, Nirvana or No Doubt(which again is nice and I download for being something other then classic rock but its still old).
 
I agree 100% on the fact that we need more modern stuff. 80% of we have gotten as far as DLC goes that is from the turn of the millennium is metal. I would love to see some shit off the Bill Board Hot 100 (the rock at least) from 2004-present.

I'll be shipping off to basic training and AIT mid march though, and I'll be gone for three and a half months. When I get back there better be some pretty kick ass stuff.
 
okay I'm trying to find out how to get Venue Select and all I can find is some cheat code. Is there some way to just "unlock" that feature, or is it only accessible via code?

also what the hell is "awesome detection"??

how about some more blink182 or bowling for soup or sum41, or .45 by shinedown, or a multitude of other songs...instead of trying to give us everything that's in guitar hero.
 
I'm excited for the thin lizzy, especially since they are live, and the who live tracks where great quality, I expect the same out of these.

I've wanted to see Sum 41 in the game for some time now and not understood why they dont appear in any of the games.

Edit- And I know its not their normal style of song but if they did a Sum 41 pack I hope they put Pain for Pleasure in. Would be a fun little funny party song

February 3, 2009 - Rockers around the world cheered with MTV's announcement that Pearl Jam's 1991 album Ten would be made available for as downloadable content for Rock Band. The March release coincides with the release of the Deluxe Edition of Ten or the even more impressive Super Deluxe Edition.

The Super Deluxe Edition, priced at $199.99, comes with a score of extras, including a previously unreleased "Unplugged" show, four vinyl LPs, and a vial of Eddie Vedder's blood*.

If you pick up either edition from Best Buy, you'll also receive a code to download three Rock Band bonus tracks for PS3 or Xbox 360. "Brother," "Alive (live version)," and "State of Love & Trust (live version)" will be available when you make your purchase on March 24.

Note you do not have to buy the $200 version to get the tracks, the regular Deluxe Edition is only ~$30. State of Love & Trust is going to be awesome.

I like to think I am pretty good at drums so I can say that both Jailbreak and boys are back in town are way harder than the 3 star difficulty rating they have.

I Agree. My friend saw 3 dots and thought no big deal and did it on expert and was DEMOLISHED.

I thought I was going to annihilate them and I 4 starred both of those, and the other song was a tad lame on drums.

They're rated on the medium difficulty I believe
 
I'm hoping we finally get Stevie Ray Vaughn or Jane's Addiction albums, but I doubt it. Probably some kinda valentine themed pack.

Here's an early morning surprise for you... an announcement of the DLC arriving on the week of 2/10! We're probably going to be posting the DLC announcements around this time (10am EST) for the foreseeable future in an attempt to sync up with the European rockers waiting for the announcements, so get up early and keep your eyes peeled on Fridays from now on.

fuck YEAH! I've been wanting The Fratellis in Rock Band since it came out! The only thing missing is "Chelsea Dagger". That would have made this pack even more awesome! Definetly buying the full pack!

I'm getting real tired of playing these 20 free crappy songs we got a while back. If I go to my XBOX Memory Settings and delete the file "Bonus Rock Band 2 Tracks" will that delete them entirely?

I've been wondering how deletion works with this and other DLC. Once you download something are you free to re-download forever on the same account? What if something was free when you first downloaded it but is later offered up for sale? I've been wanting to free up some hard drive space but this issue has held me back.
