I found a hidden gem in the Rock Band 1 tracklisting I hadn't played before, and it was a song I'd never heard of. "Seven" by Vagiant - fun stuff.

Another song for me to stalk people to....

I just won a RB2 tourney with a band, and we'll be opening for Dashboard Confessional and Panic at the Disco next Wednesday in Lowell, MA. LOL. I'm famous hahaha...

MTV and Harmonix today announced that Souxsie & the Banshees along with Blink-182, Psychedelic Furs and Silversun Pickups are bringing a total of seven tracks to the Rock Band catalog on October 28 on Xbox Live and October 30 on PlayStation Network.

Siouxsie & the Banshees is bringing "Hong Kong Garden," "Kiss Them For Me," and "The Killing Jar" while Blink-182 adds "Dammit." Silversun Pickups has two songs: "Melatonin" and "Well Thought Out Twinkles" and Psychedelic Furs comes with "Pretty in Pink."

Each song is available for 160 Microsoft Points ($1.99 on PlayStation Network) or 440 Microsoft Points ($5.49 on PlayStation Network) for the three Siouxsie & the Banshees songs.

Dammit makes me happier than the entire free 20 list.

Yea I would pick up Dammit in a minute, but I just remembered that it is included in GH:WT so probably won't pick it up for RB. There are actually alot more duplicates in both games that I thought, which is a bummer for those of us who are picking up both games.

Ours was the day OF the tournament and I was at work, but my friends had won and apparently everyone else sucked bad at ours here that they had to dumb the difficulty down for everyone to easy.

We had a kid who won the national Super Smash Bros. tournament, he's pretty great at RB. Also some other peeps who gold starred Visions and Panic Attack. Kinda stiff competition. They sucked because they picked hard songs and the projector had lag. Fun to win haha.

As soon as my friends had won they literally crammed them on the limo to the venue and they didn't get to see the three other bands that played before them. I Guess the other two made asses of themselves because they sucked and only one other one was good because they had a chick singer singing Paramore and audience sang along.

I'll pass on "Dammit" simply because I think I'm getting GH:WT this weekend. RB is definitely my preferred platform since I've already got so many songs on it, but I'd rather conserve the points if I can help it. If a song was released as DLC on both games however (this is bound to happen sooner or later), I'd choose Rock Band every time.

"Kiss Them For Me" is a pleasant surprise, I'm all over that!

Hell yes.
Dang, hope more from the Furs comes out.
I love them so much.

First bit of DLC to get me genuinely excited in months.

This may have been mentioned before (looked back a few pages and didn't see it), but for those looking for easy cheese, try Polly (Nirvana DLC) on expert drums.
8 notes total, in 4 pairs spaced throughout the song - way easier even than the expert bass on Sabotage. You don't get gold stars for it - just the perfect expert drums achievement if you don't already have it. No way was I gonna get that on any regular song ;). Now if I could just find a song that is that easy for guitar.
Now if I could just find a song that is that easy for guitar.
Roxanne's the closest that I can think of. It's the first song in any guitar game that I ever got 100% in.

Stand By Me by The Clash and El Scorcho by Weezer are ones that I got to say are damn easy on expert. Other then that Whatcha Want from Beastie Boys for default RB2 songs.

The Colberts song Charlene should easily nab the perfects for expert cheese (except vocals). My friend barely plays hard on all instruments and used it to nab all the cheese. And the its free, makes it extra cheesy.

And of course the Pixies' Debaser is the easiest for vocals. There is a video on youtube of a guy ordering a pizza to the song and gets 100% on it.

Nice looking downloads, especially with Siouxsie and the Banshees. I definitely hope they bring in some more goth / industrial stuff (since they have a gothic wardrobe).

This Corrosion and Dominion/Mother Russia would make me swoon.

Wow...hot damn! Am I dreaming?

Siouxsie, The Furs, and Silversun Pickups all in the same update?

That's fucking amazing.
This Corrosion and Dominion/Mother Russia would make me swoon.
Mmmmm...or Doctor Jeep. Or Vision Thing. Yes, please.
Mmmmm...or Doctor Jeep. Or Vision Thing. Yes, please.
A hearty "hell yes" on all accounts! Throw in "Lucretia My Reflection" and we would have a deliriously badass 5-pack on our hands.

Charlene was my first to get 100% on Expert. It's rather easy and only about a minute and a half long. Piece of cake. Not to mention it's a freebie.

GH gets REM DLC at launch? Boo! I want some REM...and Jessie's Girl.

Do you think DLC is going to be exclusive more often than not? Wouldn't bands make more money if they allowed their songs to release on both games?
Can someone help me out with getting the Band challenge cheese?

Do you need all 4 people?
You just need two. I think Trenov (sp?) was supposed to let me nab the cheese off him but we never got around to it. I still need it too.
Dang. Anyone else have it?

Courageos, do you have the Bass cheese?
If you can still tolerate hearing it, Maps is a pretty easy song to get the 100% bass achievement.

Actually we're talking about the impossible challenges. Don't bring Maps into this!

Yea I have the Impossible Bass unlocked, I can share it if you need it. I'm missing Impossible Guitar and Band, I got the Vocals/Drums from modium. I'm a couple away from Impossible Guitar, I purposely did it myself to work towards the Challenge Savant cheese.

Other than the band challenge, I think the only other multiplayer cheese I need is Band Savior. We need three people for that.

Actually, I toughed it out and am working on getting the Bass cheese now.
Now all I need is the band challenge and getting 100,000.
I'm at around 70,000+. Anyway to make quick cash?

and I love the YeahYeahYeah's. :nottalking:

I got the Bachman-Turner Award achievement (maintaining overdrive for 90 seconds) without even knowing it by playing the 30 Seconds To Mars songs with some friends earlier today (think it was "The Kill"). So for anyone who bought the song and still need that achievement, it's maybe a good song to get it since the overdrive drain is really slow.

Hey, thanks for the shout out. I only wish the forum code would accept the player itself. They have different codes to embed the playlist on websites, but this forum doesn't like the code for some reason.

 I guess people are going to bitch either way. I have no idea about the recordings. Playlist.com is kinda limited in what's available for free on the net. Regardless it is a decent way to get a feel for the songs in one easy sitting versus opening up a different youtube window for every song. Works great for a work setting. Open the playlist and just listen to them all with one easy click.
In for the two Silversun Pickups tracks.
*looks at RB thread tags and mind blows*

Silversun Pickups stink, but I'll grab Dammit and Pretty In Pink
