The current reported TIVs are $9 to GS and $15 to BBV, which may make it worthwhile. I'm going to try BBV tomorrow afternoon to confirm it.
Whats TIV and BBV? Guessing GS is gamestop
Trade In Value and BlockBuster Video.
Ah was hoping to get the game cheap not sell it ;)

if selling it why not just ebay it? Looking even with the code missing looks like people are getting atleast $15 for it.

Well the only thing I want from it is the songs, which I can keep with the DLC code... sure, the achievements are cool, but I'd rather get the songs at a discounted price. Thus, quick turnaround on the disc is preferred.

Trying to squeeze a few more bucks out of ebay is simply not worth it due to ebay fees, shipping, potential fraud, and ignorant people who will complain that there's no code even if I state that in the auction. A flat $15 TIV is probably the highest reasonable price point that I can expect back;it also means I'll pay $28 for the downloaded songs. I can live with that.

I checked out the AC/DC songs on the RockBandContent site and I'm still not sure if I'll pick this up. A couple good things are that while it is a live show, the songs sound pretty good. Also only a few songs have been inflated to be in the 8-10 minute range. Maybe that doesn't make sense to some, but I really don't want to play a 10 min version of a 4 minute song that includes a bunch of jamming/rocking out, that is just my personal preference.

I'll probably still hold off for now, but maybe somewhere down the road I'll pick it up.
Just looking at the AC/DC track pack it's must buy...When it hits $20.
It'll probably around $25 when they release it as DLC. Songs are usually $1.49 in packs like that. I just want to buy, export, and then sell. I just need a place to unload it at.

AC/DC track pack is awesome. Make sure do a strip tease like Angus during Jailbreak, yes there is actually enough time, like my bro (hes 10).

Quick question. I have Rock Band 1 (PS3) and I bought the AC/DC pack. I want to use the code and pass the songs to Rock Band 1, but since it's a one time code will I still be able to transfer the AC/DC songs to Rock Band 2 when I buy it?

Any help appreciated.
They're on your hard drive. It's just like DLC once you use that code. There is no passing to either game.
So after I pass the songs to the hard drive I can access them through either RB1 or RB2 whichever game I am playing?

Yes, it puts the songs on your hard drive just like they were DLC. You can access them with any RB game that supports DLC. (Including future ones.)
BBV could not find a TIV... oh well.
GS gave me $9 base for it ($9.90 after EDGE).

I'm cool with that.
You should have used the cellfire coupon for an extra 30% + the extra 10% from your edge card. You would have gotten $12.60.

Highly disappointed with the President's pack, the non-inclusion of Peaches was enough to throw any Presidents fan over the edge, but the other songs, after now hearing them, sound very meh.

So, I'll be passing on that pack this week.

However, the Hinder song sounds pretty good, and only 80 points? *purchased*

Edit: I did actually go and buy Ladybug, after watching a video of it YouTube, it looked pretty fun, and now the song is stuck in my head.

I also finally bought YYZ and Tom Sawyer too, for the hell of it (also reluctantly bought the 80 point F.O.B. song).

I know. I considered running to BBV to get something random to flip, but given the screwy TIVs lately I figured I'd lose money on most things I'd buy.
Ugh, the wait for these free songs is killing me!
i know - they're supposed to given out today... i keep checking my email and hope...

We already discussed it and it's going to be it's own game in anycase, so no point in my opinion (plus slim to nil information).

You need to put the code in the Rock Band website to get those songs in the first place. So it isn't mandatory, but if you download it and want to delete one specific song you're kinda SOL.

And goddammit where the fuck are my 20 free songs?! I'm getting antsy as shit!

I've already done the code thing, and I know you can't just delete one song. As long as I can delete the whole pack, that's fine with me.
This is bullshit. Harmonix needs to get on the fucking ball.
This. I was excited to cast my vote and come home to chillax and rock, but I guess Harmonix wants to fuck with my awesome day.

I bet this all started shortly before E3, during which someone proposed a wager to Alex Rigopulos, that he could delay Thenewno2 DLC and make Rock Band players be outraged about it. Somehow he managed to pull it off.

Well, remember a few weeks back I said my mother broke my Rock Band 2 drum kit (she slipped off a chair in my office where I store it and fell on the top, torquing the kit and breaking the cross bars holding the base together). I got the replacement base yesterday which was pretty fast since they had told me it might take 4-6 weeks. So kudos on that (plus replacing it at all in the first place!).

Well, the interesting thing was that the replacement they sent has METAL cross-bars. They are the same aluminum as the posts that hold the drums. These are MUCH nicer than the plastic crap that broke so easily. There was a single sheet of paper included in the box that is titled "Rock Band 2 Demo Set-up: Supplement" that shows how to hook it all together. I guess what they sent me is the base for the kit they send to stores for demo setups that is more sturdy than the regular thing. Either that or they changed the kit since the early purchase I made (I got it right when the 360 version came out). Anyone else have metal crossbars on the RB2 drums?

It also seemed like the rest of it might have been factory reject parts (or at least ones they wouldn't sell retail but would work fine for a demo setup) as one of the feet had some plastic sheared off. Fortunately all I needed was those bars (and now I have an extra set of posts and one extra good foot if I ever need them ;)).

I have plastic ones, but they seem perfectly fine.

no email for me too, well I don't worry too much since I don't know any of those 20 free songs lol. They should have let us choose 20 songs that woulda been so great =)

I think Harmonix doesn't believe anyone notices it isn't up because of the election, but I am not distracted, and I want my fucking songs!

P.S. Go Obama!

Harmonix is coming to me and my friend's Rock Band night next Friday. I'm nerdily excited and eager and going to convince them to not put Coldplay as DLC ever.

I think, "we'll be sending them out over the next 24 hours" is political speak for, "Crap, we got so caught up in the election that we forgot to send them out. Oh well, we can always do it tomorrow.".
As for me, still no email.

I am never doing another Endless Setlist on any version of RB, ever again.

That was a horrible experience. I'd rather play Two Worlds and have a Superman 64 marathon then do another one of those.

My hands are completely worn out. My arms were even numb, after awhile. I had to take a break, causing me an achievement (Steel Bladder).

I also, somehow, failed Visions at 97 percent, costing me the no-fail achievement as-well - it's the only song I failed on the Expert Guitar tour on that setlist.

Visions should be a bonus song, and not in the Endless Setlist. I can play every single song I have on hard, except for Visions. It's redonkulous.

The achievement is both no fail AND no pause, so you were done after pausing.
