Errr you mean "Ten"?
LOL, Yea "Ten". Rant took my sanity! ;) Considering the amount of PJ shows I've been too that is a pretty bad fuck up. Growing old sucks.

I would legitimately, unironically enjoy some more turn-of-the-century "nu metal" (I hate that term, but it's stuck). Stuff that would work particularly well IMO:

Staind - Mudshovel
Limp Bizkit - Rearranged
Godsmack - Bad Religion
Puddle of Mudd - Control

Plenty of options but I just felt like listing bands that haven't been in a music game yet. The Limp Bizkit version of "Faith" could be a real crowd-pleaser but the licensing for it might be complex.

Can't stand Limp or Staind but I could go for some Godsmack. I think I'd rather it be Greed, Awake or Going Down though, I was never a fan of Bad Religion. I could go for Puddle of Mudd as well.

Maybe some:

Three Doors Down - Smack
Monster Magnet - Powertrip
Saliva - Survival of the Sickest
Powerman 5000 - Supernova Goes Pop

What I'd really like to see show up as DLC at some point is Jimmie's Chicken Shack - High.

Hey gang,

Here's the DLC for the week of January 13th. We're putting out a sweet Lenny Kravitz 4 Song Pack, including the following songs:

Are You Gonna Go My Way
Freedom Train
Let Love Rule
Mr. Cab Driver

In addition to the Kravitz 4 Pack, we're also putting out two tracks from a pair of fan favorite Harmonix bands.

Megasus - Megasus
Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives - Entangled

All tracks are masters. The Kravitz tracks will be available for $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) a piece or $6.99 (560 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) for the full 4 song pack pack. The HMX tracks will be $0.99 (80 Microsoft Points) a piece.

These tracks will be available on the Xbox Marketplace on January 13th, and they'll be up in the Playstation Store on January 15th. The Playstation Store will also be updating with last week's Roy Orbison 6 Pack as well, and you can check last week's announcement thread here for the track listing and pricing.

Feel free to discuss this week's DLC in the official thread that Apples was good enough to start up!

For all DLC song credits you can head on over here.

And, as always, for awesome background information on our DLC and other articles please visit the Rock Band 'Zine.

Lenny Kravitz can fuck off, but I might check out that Honest Bob and the Factory-To-Dealer Incentives song since their song in Rock Band 1 was pretty fun to play (and it's only an 80-point hit).

I would make a post about how shitty those random late-90s nu-metal bands were, but feh.

After Orbison, I guess we're back to the usual shit.

I'm all over honest bob and the factory to dealer incentives. Something about those guys rock. not sure who megasus is but if it is a harmonix favorite and only 80 points I'll have to get it. And Are you gonna go my way is a pretty good song, eff the rest of those kravitz songs though.

The only one of those Kravitz songs that I know is already in GH:WT, so I'll just hold onto my points (even though I'd rather have any given song in RB... but I gotta ration these MS points!)
Just beat Sleep Walker on drums for the first time and without star power! Hell yeah!
Congrats, it's a pretty tricky beat. The Peace Sells album is lousy with 'em, so those songs would make you look back in a few months and wonder why Sleepwalker ever gave you any trouble. ;)

Let Love Rule is the best Kravitz song. Good that they included it.
Yeah he sounds like he's ripping off the Beatles, but whatever.

Downloaded the Killers pack on a whim and man, it's godawful.
I thought the previews were promising but the full songs suck hard.
Probably going to delete it. Going to have to be more careful in future I guess.

Oh and I feel the need to post the real thing:

I recall Megasus having the best name, yet the worst song in GHII.

They're easy, but I think the songs are great. A lot of fun on vocals.
Can someone tell me how many and what type of batteries the RB2 drums take?
They take 3 AA batteries.

I didn't even think about this until the other day...did you guys who are using an RB-branded guitar all get the headset adapter? I bought the RB1 bundle and the RB2 standalone guitar and neither one had a headset adapter included. I'm probably screwed now since it's been months since I've had the guitar, and it's not a huge deal. Just kind of annoying if I'm playing online and using the guitar.
I'm glad Red Octane future proofed the Xplorer and Les Paul, though I wish they had an adapter for the drum kit.
oh yeah, I was wondering about that. Can you just not use a headset with the RB2 drumkit, or is there something I'm missing?

The only way you can speak and use the drum kit at the same time is the wireless headset.
My RB1 bundle came with two adapters.

Same here.
At least now I know where the two I was supposed to get went!

Um, you sure? My wireless RB2 drumkit has a headset jack on the bottom, next to the sync button.
KaneRobot, I think I've got an extra that I've never even opened. I'll check and send it your way if you'd like.
That would rule...if you do come across it down PM me. Thanks bro...

the newer headsets released with the QWERTY keyboard work without any kind of adapter. I'm not even sure if you can still buy the old headsets.

There is also most certainly a headset adapter on the RB2 drums.

Ah, so that is the case. I'm glad to be proven wrong actually, just gotta go pick up a new headset now to chat on the drums! :D

I know this isn't a Guitar Hero thread, but I figured I'd ask here since I know some of you use GH guitars. In the middle of a session, my strum bar on my GH3 Les Paul stopped working. It'll function maybe one out of every 25 strums, obviously not enough to be useful.

Has anyone had this happen? I've heard of RB1 guitar strum bars messing up, but not Les Pauls. At any rate, I have the RB1 guitar which neither I nor my friends like, and the GHII Xplorer which I will use for one player right now. Any deals on the GH: Aerosmith bundle?

Les Pauls are known to fuck up due to the detachable neck. Basically the quick fix is to unscrew the neck and readjust the the part that connects with the body. I've gone through five of those blasted things...

Damn it, right after posting that link for you the strum bar on my LP died. Oh well, I still have one more modded LP. First time I have ever had a strum bar issue.

I remember it came detached when I bought it, but not it seems to be on there pretty tight. Is it even possible to detach the next from the Rock Band 1 guitar?
