Bestbuy has a separate, two week flier for music gear and they're advertising Rocksmith game bundle+ Epiphone guitar for $199.98 and you get a $50 giftcard with purchase of the game/guitar bundle.

Ad is a bit odd in that they only list sku's for the game bundle and standalone guitar (#2633103, 2633149, 2273055), so they may be doing in-store bundling. Plus they list the game + guitar bundle as a 10 savings over buying everything separate

I'll let the musician CAGs speak to the quality of the guitar;)

Like I said before, seems like they are doing an in-store bundle instead of selling the official Rocksmith guitar kit. Won't know for sure until it's bought

UPDATE #2: deal is definitely an in-store bundle of standalone guitar + game bundle. Guitar is an Epiphone LP jr with a cherryburst finish and no strap or picks are included. Asked about substituting a different guitar model but bundle price won't activate if you switch it out

I think FNM was the first "real band" I ever saw in concert. I went to that Ninja Turtles band concert when I was in 5th grade but that shit doesn't count. GNR/Metallica was my first concert and Faith No More opened.

The songs (other than Digging The Grave) aren't actually that thrilling on guitar, but I'll still buy a few of 'em. Good songs for bass though.

That's the only drawback in getting mostly early material in this pack ... while the songs themselves are arguably better, Jim Martin is a pretty boringly average player (imo).

Live, anything Patton is involved in is phenomenal to watch.
He is such an amazing performer ... I think between FNM, Mr Bungle, and Tomahawk I've seen him front 9 shows and he always brings it hard.

I desperately want a few more 90's rock bands. Not Butt Rock, but some more Pearl Jam, Nirvana, maybe Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden. I would pay a lot of money for more Pearl Jam. For some reason the music games often go after Ten, and not any of the other albums. Betterman? Just Breathe? If they could dumb down Yellow Ledbetter so a human being NOT named Mike McCready could play it, I would be moist.

Would also love some more 70's rock. Cat Stevens, Janis Joplin, Jim Croce.

 
I've all but stopped paying attention to what they release weekly. Just not interested in a bunch of metal and off the wall stuff. I do need to go back and grab some Foreigner tracks.
 
I went on a big dlc buying spree awhile back but last two months have been lackluster. I still religiously check the forum on fridays in hopes of a coheed pack though. And foriegner is simple but fun
 
Yellow Ledbetter would be an instant buy for me. I know foo fighters got two separate packs, and Hendrix and Rage both got bigger than normal packs, but I would be surprised to see them go back to release a second pack for many bands

Only console sales were during the several months lull between when they ceased creating Rocksmith Guitar and Bass DLC and released and began issuing DLC for RS 2014.
To my knowledge there has never been sales for any RS 2014 content.

Personally, this is the only instance in which I don't care.
I know many don't share this sentiment, but I throw all financial considerations out the window to wholly support this game with my wallet at every opportunity.

I feel the exact same. $3 per song is a bargain for the amount of learning I've gotten from this game. I would never consider custom DLC for this very reason. They deserve every penny they get from me.
 
I'm just gonna get all 3 songs in the pack.

Tequila is all horns for me, but just saw the vid and think I'll still enjoy playing it.

Yep. I just got an email from the moderator of Customs Forge to let me know that my CDLC upload of Reach for the Sky is being removed since it's becoming ODLC. That said, since I was a contributor of one of the songs, apparently I'm going to be getting the ODLC for free. :D/

4th song is "Dust in the Wind" - Kansas. Amazing set of songs. Probably in for all four. The Jet song is a power chord bonanza, but a cool song.

The FM song requires a capo for rhythm.

Yeah - saw the Doors hint. Not a huge fan. Which is weird, because I love classic rock.

I realized that RS2014 has never been on sale on the 360 or 1 in the Xbox store. I bought 2014 on the 360, so I assumed it had, but I bought it with the $15 codes that were $5 after coupon back when the Xbox one launched. Meanwhile, the PS4 had a $30 sale a couple of months ago. Sucks. I guess I'm gonna have to pay $60 eventually. I like having RS digitally.
 
I bought some of those Skylanders from Tarret last week and traded them to Amazon. I'll probably just go ahead and use that credit to get RS and then sell the disc on eBay. That credit was only $16 for $50 XBL money and I did it on 2 accounts.

I don't even think Rocksmith goes that low. I picked up a five string bass a month or so ago to try and play some CDLC Rammstein and Chevelle. However, I couldn't get through the tuning phase because the tuner starting getting flaky below D. Maybe it was just my bass or my cord or something...

can someone tell me the default setting for the display lag correction for the xbox one version? i changed it by mistake when i was trying to fix audio latency.

No - the insane Best Buy clearance a couple years back. Guitars were 70%+ off of retail. It was insane. It was so cheap that you could double and triple your cost on eBay, so I bought 2 or 3 of every to and kept 1. Ended up that I kept 5 guitars and $3500 of pedals and it cost me nothing out of pocket. And I had like a grand left in PayPal that I just ran out of things to buy...
 
So I got a PC question. Is there anyway to A) Use the Rocksmith cable as a input device and B) Have two audio outs going at the same time (either Rocksmith and you tube or another program).

Basically while I like the session mode in Rocksmith, I would rather just like to jam out to some backing tracks on you tube. The problem is if I have Rocksmith plugged in, I can't have both Rocksmith and You Tube going out of my speakers which I would want to do. Sure I can have another device play the backing track but I would rather enjoy both coming out at once so I know how hard/soft I am playing exactly on my bass.

Also to anyone thinking of buying the Blues Rock song pack, Sloe Gin from Bonamassa is  fuck hell to play. I don't own it but I have the actual album and it's got some damn kickass solos.
