1. you will find out in Dirge of Cerberus
2. what ever you named her in Before Crisis. You named the characters in that game.
3. cloud was hidden
4. he kept the sword
1. Great. Now I have to play through that one.

3. I know he was hidden but there was hundreds of troops everywhere that were looking for both guys and they just leave after Zack gets capped in the head?

4. He even goes back and puts it back in the cliff after the motorcycle battle with Yazoo and the other brother/remnant. It's covered in dirt and rust and generally looks like he doesn't want anything to do with it. EDIT -- I guess it makes it sense as a memorial though.

Thanks for helping me out guys.

You really don't. It's a scene that only shows up if you find 3 hidden items in the game. I liked the game, but if that's all you want to see, just youtube the scene.
Does the original Valkyrie Profile support analog controls?

Random question, but one day I plan on picking it up.
Yes, I'm pretty sure it does.

It does have some tricky 2-D platforming and the D-pad felt more precise as opposed to a more "floaty" feel with the analog.

Yeah a lot of times though I get sick of using the D-pad and switch it up for towns or easy areas.

I can't believe how expensive that game is...

o dang anybody see Ys up on the no Wii?!?!?!?!

dang I want it so much... but I aint got the time (;_・) ( ̄へ ̄) (T_T)

It comes out Wednesday.

But man, IU will be out the day after Labor Day... Plus I'll have Mercs 2 which comes out Sunday (it's street dated). I hate the Fall sometimes.

Anyone here playing Izuna 2? Anyone like it? I know Rei isn't. :D I just got past the first dungeon and died a lot. It takes time to get used to and to know how to play. It is good stuff. It will be hard to put it down for ToV, until I play ToV that is. Then I can grind levels of Izuna 2 on the throne.

I sold my Disgaea PSP. I am getting the DS version and I really don't need two copies of the same game laying around. The added content should make it worth the trade off on screen size. I am sure both will sound close to the same through headphones. I also got the Disgaea sound track today. Haven't listened to it yet. Looks like it has a good selection between all three games.

If you're playing on a PS3, you can always enable the analog. I don't remember if it supports it normally though.

I ordered it from Amazon with Amazon Prime.

If you like JRPGs it's hard not to go with Tales. I mean the team that made Vesperia made Symphonia and Abyss, the best in the series I think.

Abyss' major flaws were hardware based, and Vesperia seems to correct those. The only aspect of recent Tales games I dislike are the skits. I wouldn't mind skipping them but they usually lead to bonuses or titles.

I just didn't like the boss in the demo. He seemed way overpowered for the party. It would've been better if I could've leveled up for ten minutes to get a little breathing room.
Yeah, you were supposed to get him to go near the flowers. They put him to sleep.
Good looking out! I'll try that battle again.

I'm trying to decide whether or not to get VP for the PS1 in an effort to pick the best-aging PS1 JRPGs.

I already decided to sell BoF III and keep BoF IV.

I'm keeping the Final Fantasies (not Chronicles), Chrono Cross, Legend of Mana and Saga Frontier 2.

I also kept Star Ocean 2 since it plays pretty well still, although I think I should pick up Valkyrie Profile as well.

Anybody have personal recommendations for a PS1 game that still holds up? In other words, games that are not too heavy on load times, have responsive/analog controls and still look pretty good? Slow-paced, grinding games like DQ VIII need not apply.

I might give Suikoden II a try, but it's pricey like VP.

Xenogears has too many broken platforming segments. I beat it once and now I'm selling it.

Thanks for the input though.

You could try Legend of Legaia, don't know if you'd like it. Vagrant Story is really untraditional, but definitely interesting. Wild Arms 1 and 2 were mediocre at best but maybe worth a look.

I'm going for the best of the best. I sold off VS because the battles were clunky and boring (despite the game having a lot of great aspects). Legend of Legaia was ok but like I said, I am only going for the best on PS1.

What was your favorite(s)?

I think Legend of Dragoon held up decently. Great graphics and a decent battle system. I don't know if it's one of the all time bests but it's very enjoyable.

Vagrant Story is one of the 8 perfect 40/40 from Famitsu. How can you say the battles were clunky & boring?

I never played it but do you guys think it deserved that score?

It's a quality game for sure, but I didn't like the battles. The action stops and you stand with your opponent hitting back and forth.

I don't know many people who dislike it, but I got bored quickly.

I think it deserved it. I liked the art style and the battle system. The character customization was also top notch. It would've gotten more love if it was a Final Fantasy.

Doesn't Famitsu just add up popularity and payoffs to get their score data?

I'm kidding but I really don't know.

I don't think FF XII is anywhere near perfect and they gave that a 40/40. A game like Vagrant Story is good, but nowhere near Final Fantasy IX or Castlevania SotN.

I agree with whoever said they didn't like Vagrant Story. It's one of those games that gets praised a lot, but I thought it was horrible. The graphics and story were interesting, but the gameplay was horrific. I hated how you had to change your sandals every time you fought an enemy with a different affinity, I hated the stupid crate puzzles, and I hated all the enemies (generic lizard men, yay!). I don't care what Famitsu said, I didn't like it.

Didn't Famitsu also give that horrendous PS3 Gundam game a high score?

It's interesting how many of the same popular games we dislike, despite our completely different tastes.

People won't have the game until tomorrow I presume. Although some retailers probably have it today.

If you've played Abyss, think of Vesperia as that with better graphics and less slowdown/load times.

If I didn't dislike the 360's controller and reliability, I would definitely be picking up a core. I'm hoping for a PS3 port next year when I go HD.

Well so far I've only been interested in ES and ToV. I've still got a huge JRPG backlog, so by the time I get a new console/TV next year I'll have a better idea of whether or not I want a 360.

Mana series is another one that has always been mediocre at best for me. Legend of Mana was a good bit of fun, but haven't liked any of the other games. I only played Sword a little, hated it, and never played it again. So can't say I'm the best judge of its quality.

Well I really liked Secret of Mana, and I think Legend is decent (although I love the graphics), but I am not sure whether or not I should keep Sword since I have it sealed.

You never played Secret?
