many a time, yes

i also fell out of the building on the 3rd segment of the last kings mission (a bug). that was pretty frustrating, cause its almost impossible to even get to that point.

Remember to save in between missions. Press Start and two options to the left IIRC you get an option to save immediately without having to go to a designated save location.

I should have done the snatch missions in the beginning, because I am having a hard time wanting to play them.

Did anyone like those side missions?

Damn hitman missions are a pain in the ass. I hate driving around waiting for the person to show up.

And doing the snatch missions, my retarded AI helpers won't seem to want to help me out to shoot the othe cars so I keep getting blown the fuck up.

They get insanely boring, as there is no variation within them.
 
just got the game yesterday...fun stuff :)

i'm not gonna play too much multiplayer until the patch comes out though since all i hear is lag lag lag...

sweet game though...you driving 3 of your gang members and doing driveby's = worth the price of admission alone

Agreed... I don't think they are ever going to fucking patch it, it's been over a month at this point.

100 points isn't bad though... I've only got 50 right now, everything always has to be uneven.

Well, how long did it take for Call of Duty 2 online to get patched? Wasn't it like 3-4 months at least?

I have a really bad problem with this game!!!

Whenever I try to spray paint over another gangs tag my game messes up. Ya'know the little icons that appear and tell you what buttons to press? Well, those stopped appearing for me. I have to guess and I usually die before I get it. Theres this one that is impossible. The combination was "A-A-" something else. I PRESSED EVERY BUTTON ON THE CONTROLLER!!! Nothing. Does anybody know what might be causing this?

Anyone having problems downloading stuff while playing Saints Row? Once the game starts up (at the menu) it always says my download has stopped.

yeah but sometimes that doesn't work either (for me at least) get as many tags as possible, save it, then reload your game, they should be different after that

Yeah, alot of people complained about that too. However, if they don't get this patched by the time Gears of War comes out, I don't know how much time I'll really spend playing this game especially if it's so laggy.

I'm just guessing, but I'd imagine it has something to do with the way online is integrated.

I remember reading that the dashboard is set to stop downloading when you go into a multiplayer/xbox live situation to preserve bandwidth and if you notice with Saints Row, as soon as you get to the main menu and select Xbox Live, that section loads instantaneously, no additional loading like in Call of Duty of Battlefield or shit like that. That leads me to believe that because of the seamless Xbox Live integration into the main menu, the game always assumes it's online, ready for multiplayer and stops the downloads. Dunno if that makes any sense to you guys.

Really? I thought it wasn't that great a download, but at least it was only a $1? How come there weren't any samurai slippers, pants, or armor to go with the helmet? It didn't seem like alot of thought went into the new clothing. Alot of it is pretty stupid.

Yeah, I'm probably still bitter over the horse armor. Especially since you KNOW they could've changed the price after people complained.

I think Bethesda made up for the horse armor with what they've charged for thereafter.
 
Well I beat the game today. Ending is a little confusing, but I have my own thoughts on it. Not sure what others have said as I didn't want to spoil the game for myself, but here's my 2 cents:

I believe the saints as a whole decided on the set-up to stop my guy from getting anymore powerful and possibly trying to take over julius' spot.
 
I did not read through the thread so I dont know if this was answered but does anyone have an unusal amount of tearing? I have an HD tv and when the 360 is set to 1080i it is really noticable. 720p is not that bad but you still notice it. Is this my disk or does this happen to everyone else?
 
I love this game. totally destroys GTA, cuz all the side missions have stuff to do with illegal activites, unlike doing Ambulance and Fire Truck missions. lol The only thing I have a major problem with is Drug Trafficking Lvl. 8. I can't seem to beat them. argh.... I want to complete all activites before taking on the final gang.... guess ill keep trying until I beat it or break the controller. :lol:
 
Can someone send me a gang invite later on today to join up with the CAG Unit because if they have it available I will be getting this from gamestop this afternoon.

It happens on alot of people's sets, don't worry about it. I got used to it after awhile, but yea, it gave me large headaches for awhile too.

Still worth getting for the single player alone, and the online hasn't been a hit yet because of the lag, once a patch is out the online wil be too tight.

So no, it is not too late to buy it. There isn't anything out better right now.
