All you have to do is smoke a blunt or drink -- not both.

That could be done on the demo, too.
 
I'm seeing weird civilians.. I saw a guy in a hot dog outfit once and a guy in a drink outfit twice. I wonder where they come from.

Played for about an hour and loving it. The demo wasn't that deep so I wasn't sure what to expect. I love how you can stash multiple vehicles on one garage and the customization is pretty sweet.

I hope the online gets fixed soon. It wouldn't read my gang info for shit yesterday. I could only get one game of Protect the Pimp and one Co-op game of Mob Rule. Both were freakin great but were hard to join. But since it won't read my gang info I couldn't send invites out.

Linkin I'll try again this afternoon after work.

I got around to creating a character for XBL and then played some SP for about an hour after you left. Its a great game!

I dunno how much I'll play it. I mean, it's probably better for other Live-ers if I don't because I kick waaay too much ass on that game. However, I'm restricted to weekends on Live (as you already know and I don't wanna go anymore OT and explain it here) so I only have 48 hours a week to play. But now I will have to squeeze some gang wars in between matches with this game. I can't wait to make a character on there.

I tried and got pretty close, It looks similar to me but not exactly the same.

I guess that's a good size. I never got comfortable with SA because of the sheer size of the thing but VC was managable. I'll probably be picking this up within the next week or so but I'm on lockdown until my birthday passes...

Damn, Scorch is right, you do this whole internal debate about every major release in every thread. First Dead Rising, now this... just go out and pick up the game already.

If it was $20 I wouldn't think twice but $60 is a lot to spend on something that I might not like. The demo wasn't that great IMO and I was definitely going to pass but people are saying the game is better so I'm trying to figure out as much as I can before laying out the money.

And he says it like we care. I don't give a shit if he's on lockdown until his birthday, that's not my problem, he should probably try to chew through the leash his wife has him on. It's almost as annoying as linkinprime copying and pasting every story from xboxyde, teamxbox, gamespot and QJ word for word, but at least his posts are informative. J just mutters about how it's not like another game, how he probably won't get it, someone will say something, he's like oh shit that sounds awesome, he says he may get it, he gets it then never plays it and claims he doesn't have time because he's too busy sitting at work and shitting his pants.

Yeah, I did pretty good job too. I asked mys sister to look at one of the cutscenes and she freaked out. She was all "What the hell?"

I thought the demo was hot, the full game is awesome, there is enough testimonals in this thread to how awesome the game is.

Now that thats out of the way. Can you take your custom characters online? I played a deathmatch last night and didn't really see an option. Also is there any CAG gangs starting? Stinger is ready to rep!
 
I saw a jumper commit suicide, a car FLY!!!! like 100 or so feet in the air and I had a mission glitch up. Also, if you press the sticks down together, to fart. I think. This is from GameFaqs and i haven't tried it yet. Let me know if it work. I am going to pick up a TV for my 'rents and then eat dindin and practice raitos for my math test tomorrow. I would rather play Saints Row. :(

Taking over Strongholds...not as easy as I thought it would be. There's bullets flying in all directions that by the time I notice, I've already been smoked. I'm taking over that shit tonight.

Finish the insurance side quest, at the end your reward is that bullets do less damage.

Don't know how close to the edge of the fence you are, but Outpost has it for 50...it may turn out to be region-free as well, meaning it'll be out there for around 44ish after shipping.
 
I got mine at CC. $60 retail, but comes with the faceplate. I sold the faceplate on eBay today for $25.50 so that helps brind down the cost of the game. Before the game came out the plates were going for $40.
 
My game never connects to anything. It's been "connecting to invite..." for like five minutes now. This is unreal. What the fuck?

On a side note, dunno if I mentioned it or not, but I found a misprinted copy of Saint's Row.. grabbed it. Instead of shiny letters, the letters are all black and the shininess is only on the outside of the letters.

Its weird. I can't connect to other people's games but if I make one, other people can join.

The game needs a patch soon/badly. I've heard complaints of people not being able to connect to games and the lag is really bad, even when it's 2v2.
 
I've only played as far as the demo would let you go so far in the full game. I love the car customization and the guns you can get at the gun store. Definitely worth the price.

Anyone got some advice for me for the insurance activities??? I can't even beat the 2nd level. Is there a certain strategy for this activity?? I can't even get close to the $45,000 I need.

Also, I found one of the secret achievements. Kill at least 50 Stilwater residents using only melee attacks. It's worth 10 points.
 
I'll get the Demo online soon probably tomorrow, if any good I might get it. This is why I like 360 you can play the demo's first and then if you like em buy them!

Get a cop car and drive to where you start the insurance fraud mini-game. Start it and drive the cop car to the target area. Ram into walls with the cop car as fast as you can. You get a lot of money that way.

Just using a car in general is USUALLY a much easier way to get the money. I've gotten up to about Level 7 on 2 of the fraud missions and last night I got $242,000 in one hit. It was pretty awesome. But yeah, I've heard with the cop car you get a 40x multiplier on every accident. $1500ish for flying out the windshield x40 = $60K. Nice.

And for the record, I'm 31% done after about 13 hours. Did a lot of side missions. I think this game might turn out to be a 45-50 hour game.
