Looks like Amazon has all the Star Trek shows at 35.49 per season. It's probably a part of that sci-fi deal they have been running, but no Star Trek appears on the page that lists the series on sale.

Now that is a lot of Trek!

Im surprised that so many of you like DS9 or Voyager. I have gotten to like some of voyager recently but ds9 in my opinion is the dregs of the star trek franchise. I may have to bite on a few seasons of TNG. Thanks OP.

Have you watched DS9 from start to finish in order? I did not like DS9 when I caught it now and again on television, but when I watched them in order on DVD it quickly became my favorite Trek show and one of my favorite sci-fi shows of all time.

I havent watched them from start to finish but Im pretty sure Ive seen atleast 30-40 episodes from all different times, and I just cant get into it. I never liked "Miles" and most of the other characters just dont make me care about them. I usually just watch it because its ST and I like to laugh a quark (sp?). Although I dont believe its the worst. Enterprise will always hold that title.

How do you complain about characterization on DS9 (the most character-driven, story-driven Trek show of them all) while placing the completely characterless Voyager (the most empty, repetitive, bland and play-it-safe of all Trek) above it? As for Enterprise, I'll take what they tried to do their last season over all seven seasons of Voyager, hands down. Of course, considering how Berman and Braga ran things, the first two seasons of Enterprise were basically season eight and nine of Voyager -- which makes it really funny when Voyager fans try to bash Enterprise.

That's funny coming from a Voyager fan where the show has no meaning, had no depth, and the characters constantly changed to fit into whatever lame story the writers were redoing from TNG.

Holy Crap!

I'm glad I saw this before the sale ended. Right now I only own season 5 of TNG (got it used from Re-Play Games) and most of season 1 of DS9 (purchased via Live Marketplace on my 360). I'm not sure if I want to wait and try to get the TNG anniversary set that came out in October or these indivdual seasons.

I'd love to bite on Voyager and TOS too, but since Voyager is still on Spike and TOS is available for free on cbs.com, I'll wait on those. I guess I'll get seasons 4-7 of DS9 for now.

Dresden files for 11.99 is a steal. If you haven't seen this show, pick this up. The show got canceled unfortunately but the episodes in this pack are well worth the 11.99.
The godzilla set is a great deal, seven movies that retail for $15 each are now $40 together.
Still not as good as the Star Trek Movie set at deep discount a while back for $38 :) $3.80 per movie FTW.

I'm mighty tempted to pick up some seasons here but I just joined netflix for this very reason :)

I never said I was a fan of Voyager. I said that I have gotten to like some of the episodes from watching alot of them. I said "I suprised so many of you like DS9 or Voyager"...

I got the Original Series season 1 on HD-DVD from FYE for about $37 + tax. I had one of those 40% off coupons and 10% off with my backstage pass and it was $75, marked down from $150, marked down from $200. I had my eye on it for a while but the price was too high until the markdown. I am very pleased with the HD effects and the overall picture quality. Too bad I will never see Season 2 or 3 now that HD-DVD is dead.

DS9 is probably the best Trek series, though the first few seasons were hit and miss. Once they broke away from the TNG formula, the show got much better.

TNG would've been spectacular if it had been done as originally intended, as a 'Hill Street Blues' in space. But, they kept the lame style of having everything wrapped up in a single episode so that they could be shown out of order in syndication.

I don't know if I should bite on some of the trek box sets or hold off for the eventual yet more expensive bluray sets that'll probaly come out in a year or two.
whoa

Considering that most of us paid 100 bucks PER season
when this first came out.

Good deal... might pick up voyager just to complete my collection.
Actually, Next Gen was $150 per season when it came out. Which I know I bought the first, and maybe the second, at that price point.

Anybody have a recommendation of which TOS to get? Im low on cash and am already getting a few TNG, but I want atleast one season of TOS. Im leaning towards season 2.

edit- Im thinking of getting the 5th and 6th seasons of TNG. Ive never had the opportunity of watching all the dvds and didnt really catch it when it was aired, but from what I can tell these are two solid seasons. What are your favorite seasons?

My rule is (and this seems to stand up) is that all star trek shows get better in the later seasons. It seems to take a few seasons before the shows really find their footing. Usually around the 3rd season is when they start getting good.

Oh....damn.... I own the ST and TNG on VHS and Laser Disc. I want to buy them on DVD... credit card trigger happy feeling coming on....maybe I should just go for the movie box special editions first.... Or just buy each individually used....ughh....

now, $35 is good for a Trek season, given how expensive they were when released, but these shows are so old by now (TNG, DS9, VOY) they should really be $20 a pop. I guess when you have such a dedicated fanbase you don't feel so inclined to drop prices on them since people will still pay it, but I can't help but feel a little slighted at them still being so much.
